The staff all work hard to look after it from the ground staff and cleaners, to room service and management. Adarsh, Saidul, Matthew made us feel special, spoke good English and understood our requirements, feedback and gave great customer service. It was our 25th anniversary and they gave us balloons and decorated the room, as well as a freshly made cake which we all really enjoyed and appreciated. The food is excellent!! We didn’t go anywhere else as it was so comfortable, everyday there was plenty of choices. Dipankar, Manoj, Saidul and the Chefs are excellent and passionate about their restaurant, they gave us great service throughout. Aditi and Marcy are also doing very well. The activity room is excellent, with good options for all ages, especially the Table tennis / pool table. The room service staff including Akshay and Shalini are thorough and very friendly too. Overall we had an amazing stay because the location, food, staff were very good so it was one of our best family holidays abroad. Thanks to all the staff at Sterling Lake! "

- "Enjoyed our stay here. This was our first vacation post COVID. We made up for all that we missed because of COVID. Would recommend a good lake view room. Also take a stroll outside the resort along the river. Don't miss the speed boat ride, you will go through narrow river lanes and low bridges. - "It was ok. " - "Although getting to this property was quite difficult in terms of the condition of the roads but was actually a Warmth Haven." - "There are pros and cons with this place. Cons: They took our luggage to the wrong room, but no one knew which room for about an hour. The two ‘reception’ women were pretty, but pretty useless (very limited English). None of the staff appeared to communicate with each other. Thin walls between bungalows. We had a party of 6 ‘bachelors’ next door, who were really enjoying themselves. But to the staff’s credit, they did deal with the noise (after I had threatened to bang on the door myself). The pool isn’t really fit for use. Also worth noting that Warmth Haven is pretty isolated, at the end of a track. There is nothing close by (well, some houses). We literally sat around doing nothing but read for 3 days! Walking no further than to the restaurant and back! All that said, I would stay there again. With managed expectations. "

Houseboats in Kerala, south India, are huge, slow-moving barges used for leisure trips. They are a reworked model of Kettuvallams (in the Malayalam language, Kettu means "tied with ropes", andvallam means "boat"), which, in earlier times, were used to carry rice and spices from
Kuttanad to the Kochi port. Kerala houseboats were considered a convenient means of transportation. The popularity of Kettuvallams has returned in the function as major tourist attractions. Such a houseboat is about 60 to 120 feet (18 to 36 m) long and about 15 feet (4.6 m) wide at the middle. The hull is made of wooden planks that are held together by ropes of coconut fiber; the usual wood is 'Anjili'. The roof is made of bamboo poles and palm leaves. The exterior of the boat is painted with protective coats of cashew nut oil.

Shikara –is a traditional motorized canoe with its roof covered.However all the sides are open and there are luxurious reclining seats. It is just a miniature form of houseboat .It allows a close watch through the backwaters of Alappuzha. Even when the temperature is high,the journey on a shikara through the backwaters is relaxing as the breeze is cool. You can truly enjoy your ride by a shikara through the narrow deep canals which is not possible in a houseboat ride.

This boutique villa is my old house renovated to a heritage property with modern amenities for the travelers to stay @ Marari.
