The staff were very attentive, educated us about everything regarding the resort, and made us feel welcomed. It was secluded and very tranquil. The views of the jungle were absolutely gorgeous. Breakfast overall was excellent at the Puhu and by the breakfast bar. Staff and service were excellent. The spa treatment was extraordinary. The room service late at night was superb. The pool was warm and did not disappoint with the infinite edge. I didn't like the taste of the burger I had and the manager took it off the bill. I insisted on paying for it but she said not to worry about it. I appreciate that level of care and concern. I loved the chicken malinese that was my favorite afternoon dish although all the food was delicious. That was the one dish that made me feel like Padma made sure that although there was a variety they cared about clients feeling like they had a home away from home regarding food choices. I love Padma and I will make this my staple hotel when visiting Bali. I originally wanted to stay at the Apruva Kempenski in Nusa dua. We visited for dinner at the koral restaurant and it was very disappointing. We came back and had room service at Padma. I'm glad I chose Padma as my hotel in Bali instead. Thank you Padma. "

- "what stands out for the resort is the attentive staff working in the restaurant. they were very helpful and accommodating. they even provided a service recovery due to an order not being cooked to satisfactory. that does not mean that the food was but, it was delicious. the cleanliness in the room was borderline poor as the sheets were lipstick-stained. i did indicate to change the sheets but it did not come to pass. there weren't cups provided in the toilet for brushing of teeth. the pool water is murky and seems to not be treated regularly. overall, the hotel seems dated and in need of refurbishment. however, i have to reemphasize that the waiters and food on the other hand were top-notch. it was because of these positives, that our stay was not a bad one."

- "First time stay in ubud area, Thantha Serenity Resort such a wonderful place. Food was amazing, staff friendly and helpful. View was incredible, rooms beautiful. Rice paddies adjoin this property, and the farmers use loud motorized equipment in the rice fields from dawn till dusk. To make matters much worse, a large late night party happened at a nearby property, complete with a loud, professional grade PA system and fireworks, until 4am. We got no sleep at all. When we complained to the property's manager the next day, he just laughed. It doesn't seem that there is any security or any police presence in the vicinity of this property, which is disconcerting. We left after 1 horrendous night, even though we prepaid for 2 nights. Of course, no refund was offered. Thantha Serenity is not a professional hospitality operation. I highly recommend that readers of this review look elsewhere for villas in Bali. "

- "The area is incredibly beautiful and peaceful, and you can see the rice fields and farmers working on their plot of land. It is really an incredible experience. The staff were lovely and helpful, but their recommendations ended up being very touristy (I should have told them that I wasn't interested in touristy things and wanted to go to places locals visited). The food at the hotel restaurant is very reasonably priced and quite delicious. The room itself (villa) was beautiful however a lot of animals like geckos leave their droppings everywhere in the room and the toilet - this is not really something that can be helped, considering the remote location and farms next door - however, this might annoy some people. It's a nice break if you just want to relax, walk around and experience local temples and architecture, and eat locally at the warungs. Beware of the hairdresser nearby (10 mins walking from the hotel on the main road) - she ripped me off! Very bad person. Finally the walls are very thin so you can hear the cars on the road and your neighbours' conversations - bring earplugs!"
