- "We were recommended to the Grand Dino by friends, and they were right. The reception desk was staffed with the most knowledgeable and patient people; we asked them everything from nearby hiking trails to extra toothpaste, and they always provided excellent service. The daily breakfast worth the price with a great selection of foods and drinks. Although it was a buffet, the chef was kind enough to cook omelettes for us. The rooms were in great condition and super clean. We had no complaints about the room at all. The hotel restaurant, Last Hall, provided great food and service, especially the bread service, pasta, and beef. The pool was well-managed with plenty of towels, chairs, and umbrellas. Don't miss the fountain shows that run every 30 minutes between 8:00 PM and 9:30 PM each night. Can’t miss the fountain outside the front entrance. "

- "As this is a family run hotel we were made to feel really welcome and check in was excellent with lots of local information and attention to detail. Our room had a view of the church as opposed to a view of the lake - which we actually preferred as the week we stayed was very hot and the room was lovely and cool to return to each day. Breakfast is adequate although not much choice but presented well and of a good standard. The restaurant food in the evening was great - although we stayed on bed and breakfast option we ate two evening meals in the restaurant, this was only because they only served until 8pm which was a little early for us - otherwise we would have used the restaurant more as the food was wonderful and reasonably priced - and the only one we found in Baveno with Air-Con - as must people seemed to opt to sit outside by the lake to eat. The hotel is in a really convenient location, the bus from Malpensa stops almost on the doorstep and the boat dock is a 2 minute walk away - the train station isn't that much further about 10 minutes - but it is a bit of a climb - which is only a problem if you have luggage - for day trips its fine. There is also a convenient supermarket just a couple of minutes up the road - so all in all really handy. We will (hopefully) visit again someday! Sooner rather than later."
