We went at a time when the night temperatures got cold. Not a problem. We ate by a roaring fire, slept of beds made toasty and warm by electric blankets, and were taken for an incredibly hike through the villages with the tea garden as well as through the garden itself. - "Nice breakfast and view from property " - "Okay hotel, rooms are quite spacious, some with good views of the mountains in the distance. Quite close to the centre of Darjeeling on a busy road (to be fair all roads are busy there). The room we were in was a bit damp, this side of the hotel doesn't get sunlight at this time of year (December) so in this season it remains quite humid and therefore cold (there are enough blankets that you can sleep comfortably though) throughout the night and the day. Staff was nice but also sometimes too present, we got multiple calls in the room in the evenings to tell us that dinner was ready at the restaurant, even though we hadn't booked the restaurant or mentioned any plans to have dinner there."

Excellent service by everyone. The view of the Himalayan peaks from the second floor terrace is exceptional (see picture) especially in the morning. While I was travelling alone this trip, I think it is a great hotel for a romantic getaway. A short walk mostly level to the main mall, but far enough away that it is quieter at night. Rooms heated (important in winter), with wood floors, walls, ceilings and furniture. When I return to Darjeeling, I will definitely stay here again. All the staff I interacted with were terrific."
