The staff was very attentive and happy. I highly recommend paying for your drinks and food on the spot because we found that they were accidentally mischarging the rooms incorrectly, and it wasn't because they had bad intentions of over-charging us, it was because they do not have a centralized computer system to keep charges in an orderly manner. Double check the charges before you pay as they use manual calculators (easy to make mistakes - don't be rude to the workers for honest mistakes). The location was PERFECT. Close yet far enough away from the beach music bars and dance bars. Walking distance to so many activities nearby. Make sure you arrange transportation in advance because ubers rarely travel down to the El Tunco area. We missed a dinner waiting on an uber and the front desk couldn't get a hold of transportation to fit us all. No problem- we ate at the boardwalk nearby. Note, the check-in area has a cute fish pond so it might smell like fish. Glad we chose Boca Olas as it felt *closer* to what we would expect in advanced countries. "

We had lunch, appetizers and dinner there and the food was always good. We were even able to purchase bottle service there. We spent my birthday there and the staff helped my mom book a mariachi band to surprise me. The rooms and hotel were always clean. we used the Jetski and kayak service had so much fun! When we wanted to go out for dinner the staff helped us with recommendations. The place is so peaceful and relaxing. From the water dock I was able to watch the sunrise, do yoga and even jump into the water from there. I would love to come back here if I visit again. "
