An amazing restaurant, where we had a delicious four-course dinner ("Herbst-Menü", seasonal choice). They even have local schnaps from the region, as well as great wine. The town itself (Maleck, a suburb to Emmendingen) is quiet, the hotel bar is the local place where people meet. A great breakfast, with most thinkable options included (as far as German breakfast goes). Even champagne was served. We had a problem with our booking, as we had been booked in for two nights instead of one (my mistake). The reception staff were extremely helpful in sorting this out, and I received a full refund for the second night. Highly recommended if you want to be close to the Black Forest, but want to stay in a nice and comfortable place."
