Damaged by the last hurricanes the restoration in progress is amazing hats off to the owners for their courage and rebuilding this place" - "I came for a night and extended my stay. The owners are sweet and helpful. I checked in early and checked out late. They called and arranged for a taxi upon my departure. I booked the smallest room and it was much larger than I expected. The rainfall shower was a dream after being on a sailboat for a week. There is a small fridge in the room, water bottles, and an electric pot for heating water for coffee. There are also luxurious robes and fluffy towels. The bed is comfortable and the air conditioner is new and efficient. I put the rooftop pool to good use and the views are amazing. I was traveling alone and I felt very safe. Amazing shopping is right around the corner. I found a market within walking distance and plenty of restaurants. I walked to the hotel from the ferry and took a short taxi ride to the airport. I plan to return for a longer visit 😎"

- "Beautiful suite at the Marriot. Was impressed with the size of the living space and rooms. Very comfortable for a family with kids. The property is beautiful and staff absolutely amazing. Would 100% go back to this exact place." - "Marriott’s Frenchman’s Cove is a delight and truly a paradise away from home. The views are stunning, pool is perfectly located, and there is enough to do on the property that you don’t really have to leave. There are several excursions that leave directly from their own pier including a small tugboat ferry that will take you downtown. Having a car was nice to explore the island otherwise you would need a taxi to get around especially going to St. John. Most shops in Charlotte Amalie close at 5 pm with some restaurants and bars staying open later. St. John seemed to have better shopping with most of their stores staying open until 9 pm but the last car ferry back to St. Thomas returning around 6 pm so my wife and I took the passenger ferry over one afternoon ($8 each way per person) that leaves every hour with the last ferry returning at 11 pm. I did have issues with communicating with the owner who did not respond to my messages and VRBO had to step in and also contact them."

- "The check-in was quick and easy. The ladies were all very nice. The room was nice, spacious.and provided some ammenities. The lack of restaurants was an issue considering the one on the property was not that great. Limited menu and food was hit or miss. On our last night we found a walking path to the neighbor Westin who had more restaurants and better quality. Great access to the beach and pool, snorkeling. The night time kayaks were alot of fun. We did it twice. Great location as it was center to all the good spots. Drive to Red Hook and grocery shop at Food Market, better prices and selection. We enjoyed the room overall, the elevator though smelled of vomit everyday, everyone noticed. That's an issue for maintenance. Rent a vehicle, taxis are very expensive. "

- "The pros: The villa was clean, the staff was friendly, easy to access, plenty of parking. The manager is friendly and quick to respond to questions. The cons: The listing shows a beautiful ocean view, however the villa that we were put in had a view of the road and the back side of a building. (The manager said we could ask if they could move us, but we were only there for 2 days so we didn't want to bother moving.) The beach is nice but there is a large coral reef stretching across the beach that had sea urchins in it, so you have to access the water on the far sides of the beach. Overall, a nice place. "
