Overlooking Fistral Beach, this stylish Victorian hotel features a Five Bubble rated spa, surf school, approach golf course and a wonderful sea-view terrace. Awarded a 5-stay AA rating, the Headland Hotel is a 10-minute walk from Newquay center. The impressive leisure facilities include a brand new Aqua Club which includes 6 outdoor and indoor pools (open all year round). The spa includes a Cornish salt steam room, a Swedish sauna, a hot tub, and experience showers. Treatments by Elemis, Voya and OPI can be booked in the state-of-the-art ash wood paneled rooms or work out in the fully equipped Life Fitness gym. There are three restaurants, and the hotel has been awarded an AA rosette. Guests can enjoy the best of Cornish coastal produce in the restaurant RenMor. The Deck as part of the Aqua Club offers poolside drinks, and Mediterranean dining. Afternoon teas and Cornish breakfasts are available, and the bar offers cocktails and fine wines. The spacious 5-star bedrooms at The Headland have free Wi-Fi access and satellite TV. All rooms feature a cozy seating area, a work desk and a modern bathroom with fluffy robes. The hotel has a communal laundry room, where guests can access a washing machine and a tumble dryer, as well as ironing facilities. Perched on a rugged headland, this hotel is just a 20-minute walk from Newquay Railway Station. Free on-site parking is available, and Newquay Golf Club is a 5-minute walk away. The surf school also offers coasteering, standup paddleboarding and private surfing lessons. The Headland is dog-friendly and up to two dogs can stay in each bedroom per nights. Regrettably, we are not able to accommodate any other pets. Our bedroom capacities are limited to maximum of 2 people. 1 adult and 1 child (12 and under) can travel together. - "Perfect as a base to explore Cornwall. Drove one day to St. Ives and the Penwith Circle including stops at Land's End and other picturesque village. Another day drove to Boscastle and Tintagel Castle. Beautiful scenery both days with ocen views and farming landscapes.Spent a third day relaxing at the gorgeous hotel, hiking on the ocean trail and Fistral Beach. Nice to have a base and not have to unpack every night. Hotel dining was great, especially in The Terrace bar. Breakfast in the dining room was included in the room rate and very good. Ocean views from both dining areas was spectacular. Enjoyed swim in the indoor pool but found it too shallow (about 4 feet deep) to do aquafit exercises. Room and bath were very clean and comfortably large. Highly recommend this hotel for it's ambience, service and location."

Loved being able to use the spa facilities and the room was modern and cosy with a selection of teas, coffees and shortbread. The hotel is good walking distance into Newquay town and the route via the golf course is lovely. The restaurant offers great views of Fistral Beach. They have a cute photo booth just by the elevator which was a nice touch. Only thing I would say is the heating was whacked up for winter so the room was boiling but luckily there was a fan in the wardrobe! Parking for over 24hrs wasn’t an issue for us on the main road in front of the hotel, but you may have more difficulty during peak season months. "

This led to an embarrassing situation when my alternative card could not be accepted by their system.
