The hotel is good walking distance into Newquay town and the route via the golf course is lovely. The restaurant offers great views of Fistral Beach. They have a cute photo booth just by the elevator which was a nice touch. Only thing I would say is the heating was whacked up for winter so the room was boiling but luckily there was a fan in the wardrobe! Parking for over 24hrs wasn’t an issue for us on the main road in front of the hotel, but you may have more difficulty during peak season months. "

On arrival, we followed instructions to access building using key codes. No problems getting in. We had been allocated a dog friendly apartment at the back of building on ground floor. Sadly, no view of the beach but we did find it quiet and well suited to our needs. There was a small outside area with table and chairs and steps leading to an upper area too. It was secure enough to safely let our dog out there. The apartment had two bedrooms, one with en-suite. There was also a separate bathroom so spoilt for choice with just two of us staying there. Large living area with kitchen. We spent our week travelling around Cornwall and found the location perfect for visiting St Ives, Penzance, Port Isaac, Padstow to name just a few. The nearest pub we found to eat was The Mermaid situated on Porth Beach but we particularly enjoyed the food at The Farmer’s Arms in St Columb Minor which was just a few minutes drive away. On our final day, we chose to walk into Newquay along the coastal path from Porth beach. Lovely views as it was thankfully a fine day. Car parking in Newquay was difficult so would definitely recommend walking into centre if you’re able to. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return there in the future. "
