This awesome Beach Pad couldn't be closer to the sand and surf of stunning Mawgan Porth Beach, being set just across the winding coastal road. The family-and-dog-friendly cove sits in the valley between the quaint fishing town of Padstow, famed for Rick Stein's restaurants and world renowned Newquay, home of the UK's biggest waves. It's also just a stone's throw from Watergate Bay, a good base from which to learn to surf or explore Cornwall's other treasures such as the Minack Theatre and the Eden Project.

The apartment itself is laden with everything you need to make your holiday a fabulously easy one, with on-site parking, amazing sea views, TV, DVD player, WiFi, central heating, all linen and towels.

There are regular bus services to Newquay and Padstow from outside the flat, one of which is on an open topped bus and some lovely coast path walks. All in all, everything you'd wsnt from a beachside holiday. Communication with the owners was very straightforward and easy and they were very helpful when we had to unexpectedly stay an extra night due to some of our party being taken ill. Our beach-side hideaway has breathtaking views over the stunning sandy beach of Mawgan Porth on the North Cornwall Coast. The modern south facing two bedroom apartment has a large open plan living area which opens out on to the terrace and communal lawn overlooking the beach.

A two minute walk from the front door and down the sandy path through the dunes takes you to the epic beach or South West coast path. Three minutes walk the other way past the pitch and putt golf course takes you to the shops, places to eat and pub in the village centre.

Mawgan Porth is a family friendly cove, located on the rugged stretch of coastline between Padstow and Watergate Bay. Popular with surfers, families and outdoor explorers, the location is a great base for exploring the Seven Bays coastline and other Cornish gems such as the Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, the Minack Theatre, Padstow and Bedruthen Steps. 3 White Lodge is a contemporary two bedroom home, on the ground floor of a small sea front block of apartments. Our little family business is called Coast Hideaways - we've refurbished, designed and look after our special places by the sea in Mawgan Porth, Cornwall and The New Forest.

Inside the apartment there’s everything you need for an easy break away including TV with free Netflix, free WiFi, towels and linen, central heating and a dishwasher. Outside there’s an allocated parking space and lockable storage for surfboards and wetsuits.

The open plan living space has double doors leading out to your own patio and the communal lawn with views over the beach and headland. There’s a comfy corner sofa and a dining area with a table for four.

The good sized kitchen has everything you need for a change from the nearby restaurants and cafes including a dishwasher, full size fridge freezer and washing-drying machine.

Bedroom 1 has a king sized bed with a pocket sprung mattress and crisp cotton sheets. There’s hanging space and a chest of drawers.

Bedroom 2 has two single beds. We also have a travel cot and high chair if required - please let us know on booking.

The modern family bathroom has a bath with shower over.

We welcome families. Sorry, but we can't accept pets - it's a condition of the lease for all of the apartments in the building.

The bungalow was much bigger than I expected, the photos do not do it justice. Sue is lovely and replies very quickly to messages. It is nice to have the tennis courts and swimming pool which we used during our stay. Converted from old farm outbuildings, this basic, traditional Cornish cottage is full of character and charm, with simple furnishings and a homey feel. It is an unmodernised cottage, retaining its original rustic character. With charming features from the 1970s, including a quaint kitchenette and bathroom (with a bath and shower combination), it offers a nostalgic escape from modern life. - "Style over substance? It may have the wow factor when you pull up, but once you enter, for us, it was poorly designed and styled, as no thought seems to have gone into the type of people who are going to stay i.e families who love the beach and sea. Unfortunately it is not practical beach holiday accommodation. Perhaps we are too picky, as we have been fortunate enough to stay in a number of luxury beach holiday lets, and know that attention to detail and taking the care and time to look at your potential market is key and makes all the difference. Sometimes it’s the small things that make the difference. Negatives: -was not clean when we arrived and we had to wait 1 1/2 hrs over the allocated arrival time and still it wasn’t clean (cleaners turned up at 2.30 to clean house and change the bed linen - check in time was 4.00!) and this was when it was supposed to have a deep clean due to COVID! -2 slice toaster for house that sleeps 8? should really be 4 slice toaster -Should have at least two televisions - not everyone wants to watch the same things (kids and adults) another should be in the master bedroom. -NO storage for beach gear I.e surf/body/paddle boards so although house is near the beach it is not beach friendly!!!! -master en-suite is too small you nearly dislocate your arm trying to get to the toilet roll! -no dressing table/mirror to sit at and dry/straighten your hair or put makeup on in the master bedroom (ideal space in master bedroom would be in the small alcove next to the en-suite) -blind next to entrance door would be good as can see when someone uses the main bathroom -master bedroom blinds have gaps in between so you are woken by the morning sun and not very private! (Especially from accommodation opposite - also can’t really sit in bed with blinds open unless you don’t mind being looked at!) -no parasol for shade on raised patio -storage or a cover needed for rattan cushions if rains -soundproofing is awful - in ground floor bedrooms you can hear EVERY sound from upstairs. From putting your mug on the coffee table to walking across the floor. -rooms are also extremely echoey -no hanging space for long dresses -small dog bed in front of fire but no dogs allowed? Positives : -Location to beach -showers are excellent -sofa is amazing and very comfortable -sun trap patio area (although no parasol) Would we stay here again? No Would we recommend? No Value for money? No"

We have private allocated parking spaces for 3 cars for your use. Once you’re here there’s plenty of shops, places to eat, things to do and of course the beach and sea within a few minutes walk.

There's a regular local bus from the village centre.

There are some amazing walks from the front door including along the Coast Path to either the stunning Bedruthen Steps or Watergate Bay. We also love the countryside walk through woods and fields to the pretty village of St Mawgan.

Getting Around:
Busses north run every 2 hours at half past the hour from opposite the pitch and putt.
You can visit St. Eval, Porthcothan Bay, St Merryn, Harlyn Bay or Padstow.
To the south its every 2 hours on the hour and you can get to Newquay, Porth, Watergate Bay and Tregurrian.
Newquay Airport is a 10 minute drive in either a taxi or there is a bus every 2 hours.

There is a "Pick n Mix" selection of Boogie boards and wetsuits in the garage, feel free to borrow them if you are heading to the beach!

Totally secluded and private, Sandcrest Cottage offers accommodation for up to six guests. The house is exceptionally spacious, light and airy.

The open plan living area features a log burner, a large L-shaped sofa, flat screen HD TV with Sky, DVD and high speed Wi-Fi. The open plan kitchen has a large dining room table, a fully equipped kitchen with an en-suite utility room, which includes a sink, washing machine, dishwasher, extra fridge freezer and a small office area.

Accommodation consists of two-ground floor double bedrooms. The master bedroom features a high apex ceiling with skylight window, walk in wardrobe shower room, and doors that open onto the deck. The second bedroom is at the other end of the house and has a large en-suite shower room, TV/DVD, and French windows that lead onto the decking.

Interior
Sandcrest Cottage can comfortably sleep up to six people. All rooms are bright and airy with crisp, Egyptian cotton linen, towels and handmade soap.

The main bedroom has a super-king size (5ft) bed, high apex ceiling with a large skylight window, en-suite shower room and walk-in dressing room. The bedroom has French windows that open onto the deck.

The second bedroom is a very private room at the other end of the house with a super-king sized bed and an en-suite bathroom including a large walk in en suite shower room. All the windows from this bedroom open onto the deck where there is a roll top bath.

Third bedroom or the 'Garden room' is a separate building. It has a superking sized bed and ensuite bathroom with patio style doors opening onto the sand. This room also has a mini fridge and kettle, but unfortunately no wifi.

All rooms have central heating and are equipped with hairdryers, extra blankets, and hot water bottles. We provide house towels only so recommend you bring your own beach towels.

The living and kitchen area is bright and light with skylights and three French windows, all open directly onto a secluded and private deck. The living space is dominated by a very large L-shaped coach which features a glass fronted wood burner, and flat screen smart TV.

The mezzanine area can also be used to sleep small adults, or children by prior arrangement only and at an additional cost. Please see T&Cs for more details.

The kitchen is modern with all appliances, gas hob, electric oven. A separate utility room holds additional fridge and freezer space, washer, dryer and a small office space. All the doors open onto the deck, sun loungers, a bench, an eating area with tables and chairs, sun umbrella and large bar-b-q area. The house is south facing and tucked neatly out of the wind. The higher garden area is large enough to enjoy beach volley ball or football in the sand. It also features a step accessed "lookout" with great views of the sea and sunsets. Guests have access through a private gate leading on to the beach.

Outside Grounds
The outdoor space features a roll-top bath tub on the decking, an outdoor shower, a large al-fresco dining room table, sun umbrella, chairs, a barbecue and sun loungers.

The higher garden area features a look out with sea views, perfect for a watching the sunset, and an area for beach style football & volley ball. Guests have direct access through a private gated path leading through the sand dunes and onto the beach.

There are so many amazing places to explore. Mawgan Porth is a great surfing beach with a surf school and just a stones throw away in Padstow are some fantastic eateries including the famous Rick Steins restaurant.

Perched on a Cornish cliff top overlooking Mawgan Porth, the Scarlet Eco Hotel and Spa makes the most of the scenery, with facilities to enjoy treatments while listening to the waves crashing on the beach below.

The cliffs at Bedruthan have been systematically eroded over the years, leaving a series of impressive volcanic rock stacks. Other attractions include the huge rock formations known as the “giant’s steps”. National Trust and houses of historic interest are all within the local area, so plenty to do and see.

If you fancy going a little further a field, then The Eden Project is just 40mins away by car, or visit The Lost Gardens of Heligan, or simply just visit the village of Mawgan Porth itself.

Mawgan Porth Beach is on the stunning North Cornwall Coast and is regarded as one of the top surfing destinations in Cornwall. It is renowned for quality waves and caters to beginner surfers and advanced equally, with lifeguards on duty for safety. The local surf school 'King Surf' is on hand for lessons.

During the middle part of the 20th century, an ancient settlement was uncovered just behind the beach by archaeologists that dates back to Saxon times. It now hosts a popular 'pitch & putt'.
