The bathrooms are unusually large for a European hotel. The immediately surrounding towns are tiny and appear to be short on services so I don't recommend planning to spend time touring them except possibly for selected guesthouse restaurants and/or wine taverns in the region. The draw is the hotel, its marvelous spa facilities, and its location on the edge of a large Austrian national park comprised of vast grassy and semi-agricultural flatlands and wetlands with abundant wildlife and bird life. Note that the Neusidlersee (lake) is near. The hotel offers Jeep "safaris" in English into the national park (recommended). This is an extraordinary place to relax and unwind on many levels. It is expensive, however, so compare prices. I found Hotels.com to have offered the most competitive price, definitely less expensive than purchasing directly through the hotel website. A free shuttle is available by arrangement to/from the Frauenkirchen train station (10 min, nearby town) with direct rail service to Vienna (~60 min)."
