I literally booked this on the same morning upon arrival for a 5 night stay of my solo travels. The hotel ended up blowing me away. The service of the family who runs is it simply impeccable. Every interaction from arrival until check-out you could truly feel the love and passion they have for this place and their guests. I got a big room with a double bed (although I had booked. a single room, which was nice touch). Huge balcony overlooking the mountains, big bathroom and very comfortable bed. The restaurant area is very cute and an amazing brunch was included. During the sunny morning you get to enjoy breakfast on the terrace right next to the river overlooking the mountains. Since I stayed during the summer period, I got a lift card for the gondolas + bus ticket card included in my stay - amazing service. There's also an amazing spa and sauna area in the basement which all looked very new. Location is excellent - bus stop right outside the door and a supermarket in the ground floor of the building. Overall a 10/10 stay. Already looking for an opportunity come back! "

One can walk to hiking trails and jump on the cable cars directly from the hotel. Gerlos is a tiny tourist village filled with only hotels and restaurants, but there is a decent supermarket for grabbing drinks and snacks.
