As soon as I walked in the door, the staff showed me professionalism, respect, and hospitality that made me feel comfortable and welcomed - honestly (I felt at home). My check-in was smooth and it didn't take long before I was in my room. My room was clean! It was very tastefully decorated, and I had everything I needed to feel comfy - including thoughtful touches. The furnishings were of high quality too. In fact everything I saw in the hotel felt very high quality and well thought out. I believe the owners of Hotel Vijan Palace are very accomplished people who have made an effort to create an elegant experience for guests in what is typically not an elegant environment. The food was excellent, and the dining experience was great. There are a variety of options in the restaurant, both locally and internationally, that were prepared and served nicely. I took advantage of the breakfast buffet each morning, and it was one of the best breakfast buffets I have experienced - amazing selection of tasty food that is perfect to set you up for your day. - "The location is good being next to the Railway Station. But hotel looks very ordinary. When we got there, the staff were unorganized or at least confused. When they finally took us to our room, the room was open, there was already a staff person there and the TV was on. The place was noisy, it seemed there was a wedding. The door chain lock was broken. One hour or so later they called to ask about our room service which we hadn't ordered. And then one hour after we went to bed a staff person entered our room! We felt unsafe and requested the chain lock to be fixed. They were very apologetic and the next day they tried to explain that there was a confusion, they thought that someone had requested housekeeping, which by no means explains why the person would just open the room. They didn't seem malicious just extremely confused. Oh, and there was no warm water, barely lukewarm. Yes, the room was clean but that's about it."
