Good buffet style breakfast. We booked a superior double room and were instead given a magnificent 70 square meter, two bedroom suite on the top floor … a surprise upgrade. It did not have air conditioning but was still comfortable with the windows open. The style of the hotel is dated but that’s a big part of it’s charm, and it’s well maintained. Parking is limited but we were allowed to park directly in front of the hotel entrance during our 2 day stay. The hotel provided vouchers that allowed us to travel for free on the train and bus system serving the lake area, which was great for visiting Lindau and Friedrichshaffen without having to use our car. We would highly recommend the place. "
