The public transport system is excellent and the hotel is just a short walk from the main bus and train station. The self service breakfast gives you a good selection to start your day, there is a restaurant also on site but I didn’t use it. The bar was good with the barman able to knock up a multitude of cocktails,, from what I witnessed. My room was spacious, clean and comfortable and perfect for me. There was a small fridge also where you could store some food and drink. There is car parking available for a fee, I'd advise informing them when you book but it is a reasonable charge in my opinion. There are also garages that can be booked, I only became aware of this on arrival and seeing cycle tourists storing their bicycles in there. Right by the promenade for pleasant walks and easy access to numerous restaurants it is an ideal choice in my book. Would I stay again? Without doubt."

- "As the name implies, the Central Hotel is situated near the Friedrichshafen City center. It has excellent parking facilities if you chose to travel by car. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I had booked an Economy room and was warned that the rooms size might be a bit of a challenge for a person of my size. It turned that the room was indeed small but sufficiently sized. The bathroom was brandnew, the bed was fine for my size. Breakfast was not included but was offered for an extra charge. It was the classic Continental, filling and of good quality. The bed could’ve been softer, but the shower was good and there was room for a desk etc. Breakfast was average, some fresh pastries / bread and cold meats and cheese. Some yoghurt and breakfast cereal was available, as was fresh coffee. Downstairs there is a bar which was great and inexpensive, however be aware they allow smoking in there, which, for a non-smoker, isn’t much fun! I would stay here again."
