But then the worst came : around 11pm we woke up with very loud music and noise; at first we thought we would live with it and that the music would stop....well an hour later this was still going on. My wife and I decided to go downstairs to the reception desk. What a surprise : what was supposed to be the breakfast room was some how transformed into a CLUB full of teenagers and drunks...on top of it, they had a band playing. The only “positive” out of all this that the manager/owner did not even discuss when we were complaining about the noise; he moved us straight to another room, an upgraded room on top of it.; better condition and a little further away from the noise. We ended up our night, but with a rather negative view of the hotel. To management : don’t rent out rooms on Saturday nights when the breakfast room club is open."

- "This property has certainly seen better days. The lobby was dark, as if they just wouldn't turn on lights. My room was OK. Very odd layout, no real great place to sit and relax, I ended up using the bed as a chair. The bathroom was also the shower. I think they call it a wet bath. I didn't particularly care for the bathroom. There was mouse poop in my room and small spiders. The market and temple were right outside and there was loud music and chanting over the speaker system that went right into my room. Needless to say, it was very noisy. The staff seemed nice. The night market literally begins right outside the front door of the hotel. I ended up leaving after one night and didn't even care about losing my last two nights that I already paid for. "

Need to take note that location not as indicated in Hotels.com - it is along route 108 main road at junction with rural road Mae Hong Son 5035" - "The property provided an incorrect telephone number, so (1) the taxi driver could not reach them and did not know the way (2) when Hoteis.com tried to sort out the problem, they could not reach the property either by phone or email. I was taken to Kiang Doi Hotel instead, which is owned by the same person. My room at Kiang Doi was not as expected, and overpriced. Kiang Doi Hotel is an older building. The room was adequate and very clean and spacious. The room had two double beds. The internet worked fine. The bathroom is quaint with wood slat floor and rocks around the toilet area and a full-size bathtub and shower. Air-con and fridge in room.The property is very near the night market and downtown and a hand laundry service and the post office.. NO service is provided, reception is attended by young people under 18, which does not matter if you are independent. The adjacent cafe is closed. Great food is available nights at the market nearby. I found a family tour operator nearby and arranged a visit to a Karen tribe village for 500 baht, 25% of the usual price, very satisfied. The actual property listed is 5km (200 baht in taxi) out of town, no public transport.. The bus terminal is 85 baht by tuk-tuk from the hotel, overpriced as it's relatively near."
