Had very nice weather when I was there so the roof terrace would’ve been good to know about but no information was given about this. The rooms overlooking the car park on the 3rd floor also have balconies. I do wish that hotels without a bar would provide Tea/ Coffee trays, you can request a kettle but that’s all you get. I didn’t have the buffet breakfast as I prefer to eat later the cost was €13. Walking distance to all attractions, don’t miss the Residenz it’s quite stunning with beautiful gardens."

The hotel can offer reduced parking fee for the parking garage (50m from the hotel). Not sure if it was because we stayed during the weekend, but the Ludwigstrasse, where the hotel is located, was very quiet with very few traffic. We will definitely come back when we are visiting Würzburg the next time."

- "I love staying in places that are a bit unique and where the owners are engaged with their guests. Both are true at the Barthels. Opened only 6 weeks before our two-night stay, the hotel seems to be entirely staffed by the family that owns it. They work the front desk, run the small bar, serve breakfast in the morning all with great friendliness and attention to their guests. Initially I found the modern, somewhat Bohemian decor of the lobby a bit off-putting, but came to appreciate it as a reflection of the tastes of the owners. It is fun to hang around for a drink in the evening, and the breakfast was excellent. The location is also phenomenal, right at the heart of Wurzburg's atractions. Highly recommended."

- "Excellent hotel in a great location, easy to access the tram or better to walk along the path by the river into town. We didn't breakfast at the hotel it was a bit busy. But very good little bakery just down the lane in front of the hotel. Just be aware that the booking and assess the your room number and pin code is only available via the web page and then wasn't obvious to find, connection on 3g was very slow. It would be better if this info was in the email. "

- "A nice little hotel in this charming city. We arrived late and it was a bit difficult to check in, it is done at a hotel located on a nearby street, but we managed. Good breakfast, shower looks outdated with a curtain but was really good. ְI forgot to mention that you may have to climb one flight of stairs to get to the rooms (I didn't see another solution)" - "The central location enables you to walk to every sight in the city. - "Do not let the lack of a reception desk put you off. My room was very nice. It was clean and the bathroom bright with like new fixtures. The entry code was sent to me by email. After a few try’s I realized I had to push the ✔️ key after the code. Once I did that the door opened. Once inside the stairs and lift are visible. I did not have the breakfast. I walked from the main train station in 10 minutes. There are many Restaurants within walking distance. "
