Cafe Marco was a step above most of the food establishments, as was the Dawei Tea House, both linked to the hotel. Rooms were clean and modern. Only negative was that the advertised free parking was not free if you book through an on-line service, like Orbitz. We had a power failure the first night and it knocked out WiFi for the remainder of our stay. Same for Cafe Marco and Dawei Tea House. But that was beyond their control. "

Saying that, as soon as I realised this and contacted the hotel there was a staff member on hand within minutes who assisted us with the luggage. I you arrive by boat as a foot passenger directly to Puerto Galera and they are expecting you then staff will be their to assist likewise, I believe they can also meet you at Manila airport and escort you all the way to their hotel. Apart from this, an excellent hotel with a 'Flinstones' feel with regards to the décor. Excellent and friendly staff, always there to help. We didn't go there to dive but from what I saw they have a very efficient dive 'school' with excellent facilities and knowledgeable staff/instructors. All in all, one of the best, if not the best, hotels in Puerto Galera."

Our area is called caber about 5-10 mins walk to town down a steep road way or down steps that lead to the water front . You can also take a local motor bike taxi costing around p30 depending on time of day (prices increase late at night ). we have 2 deep wells for our water supply also a back up solar system for night time power outage. when running on back-up power air-conditioning units are isolated ,ceiling and wall fans will be running .
