It was freezing at night and there’s no heating so either take winter weight PJs or be prepared to sleep in your clothes. At checkout they attempted to act as if they don't honor Expedia and it's terms. I booked for 27 nights with $10 charge per day for breakfast, I had messaged the property through Expedia and asked if I could use the daily breakfast expense towards lunch or dinner as my schedule varied each day. I was told YES. At checkout they 'played dumb' said breakfast was only $3. I showed them my messages received through Expedia. One of the managers I dealt with acted as if he had no idea about the arrangement. I showed him the message I had received and he replied, "that message wasn't sent to you BY US". I told him that the owner of the inn has a contract with Expedia and he should know the terms. He continues to argue with me! Suddenly, I had to defend myself and I did have to raise my voice. He kept making phone calls. I told him I did not owe the 9,000 rupees. If anything the Inn owed me money! 27 nights x $10 = $270 = 23,000 rupees. He did not want to accept the fact I had proof and a message stating how the daily breakfast charge would be applied to daily food costs. It's as if he wanted me to give up and just pay the amount. He had no daily itemized bills. Just a flat cost of 9,000 rupees. The entire staff shows up and I have about 7 men around me! I am a female solo traveler. My friend from India shows up and has words with the manager. Suddenly he says " YOU OWE NOTHING". Thanks to Kailash, very kind man"

- "We came to Pushkar for the camel festival. I should have never booked at this property in the first place, bc it’s outside of the city. There is nothing to walk to and we felt isolated. The property has a lot of grass and trees and is pretty in that aspect. It’s not too far from the city, but we didn’t have a car so we felt like it was in a remote area. I have no idea why it’s called a resort???? They have nothing to offer, but a place to sleep and a pool! I definitely wouldn’t want to eat there! One more thing, I was under the impression we were staying in the appartment-like rooms that actually have a view of the mountains, since I selected the option “Mountain View”. Instead we were in the much older cottage-style rooms at the front of the property. They are not at all nice on the inside. The Expedia pictures display something much better, than what we got! We were very disappointed and ended up paying for another hotel right in the city. It was very much worth it to leave!!"

Pushkar means born due to a flower. In Hindu mythology, it is said that the gods released a swan with a lotus in its beak and let it fall on earth where Brahma would perform a grand yagna. The place where the lotus fell was called Pushkar.
Pushkar is situated 14 km northwest of Ajmer and is considered one of the five sacred dhams or pilgrimage sites for devout Hindus.

PUSHKAR LAKE
The prime attraction of Pushkar is the Pushkar Lake which is considered sacred like the Mansarovar Lake in Tibet. Pushkar has become a place of Hindu pilgrimage because of this holy lake. Legend has it that this lake was consecrated to Lord Brahma, the creator of the universe when a lotus dropped from his hand into the vale and a lake emerged in that place. The picturesque lake is encircled by 500 temples, 52 places, and 52 ghats. Devotees take a religious dip in the spiritual water of the lake which is said to have miraculous power.
BRAHMA TEMPLE
The most important temple in Pushkar is the temple of Lord Brahma, one of the holy trinity of Hinduism. It is the only Hindu shrine in the world where Lord Brahma is worshipped. The temple houses a life-size idol of Lord Brahma.
SAVITRI TEMPLE
This temple is located at the top of Ratnagiri Hill and is dedicated to Savitri, the wife of Lord Brahma. The temple houses a magnificent statue of goddess Savitri.
OTHER TEMPLES
