We usually like to try different places in the Thai countryside, but this place definitely changed our minds, and we'll stick with our favorite, The Slive, as it's not much more, always great and has one of the best breakfast offerings anywhere. When we arrived at about 9:30PM, the reception/office was cluttered and messy, so I didn't go in, instead I waited outside. My Thai GF did go in and she came out holding her nose as apparently they had many dirty plates that had food, and didn't obviously clean up. A bad sign, as when we went up to the room, it was dirty, smelled awful, with so many bugs and mosquitoes. The bed looked awful and the pillows appeared thin and uninviting. The appearance of the room was very bad, and though we had requested a "quiet" area, there was loud talking and some music nearby. Needless to say, I immediately booked the Slive for that night and we packed up and left, telling the woman at the front desk that we couldn't bring ourselves to stay there one minute longer. "
