Location is perfect for hikers. Some trails start right by the hotel or nearby. We loved the fact that we parked our car and did not have to touch it for the duration of our stay. Restaurants, grocery store and other shops are all in a walking distance. We had a room facing Strbske Pleso, a glacier lake. Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean. Staff at the front desk was very courteous and responsive. For example, we did not sleep too well the first night because of the loud music from the radio turned on late into the night and early morning in the restaurant downstairs. After talking to the front desk, this issue was remediated and we had a peace and quiet in all subsequent nights. Our room came with a free breakfast and there was plenty to choose from - scrambled eggs, sausages, cold cuts, yogurt, cereal, fresh bread, pastries and fresh fruit. There was a nice coffee machine and we did enjoy our morning espresso with milk from freshly ground beans. Several nights we also enjoyed dinner in the restaurant The hotel also offered access to wellness center - free use of hot tub and sauna which came handy after days of strenuous hikes. I would definitely stay again at this hotel again."

- "Sliezsky Dom was in a heavenly position, with access to hikes that were just unbelievable in the natural beauty they presented. The hotel room was very nice, our pre-booking interactions with the hotel was very efficient, and the Wellness Centre was amazing. Particular mention must be made of the massage - we paid extra for this, but it was well worth the price! We felt, however, that the service could be improved. The service seemed many times to lack a certain level of warmth and hospitality. We also felt the food could have been improved, especially given the EU15 price we were each paying for dinner. If the hotel was full, the dining experience felt a bit crowded, and the various options available at the buffet would run out. Overall, however, we would definitely stay here again, and would recommend others do so as well!"
