All of our concerns evaporated immediately. We were warmly greeted by the front desk clerk who we quickly learned is one of the owners. The hotel has been in the same family for generations. Our room was light and spacious and included an adjacent sitting room along with a balcony with table and chairs. The room also had a mini refrigerator which was really appreciated. The TV is small but then we weren't there to watch TV. Breakfast was included. From the hotel you are less than a block from restaurants and shopping and you can take a nice hike along the river literally across the street from the hotel. You are just minutes away from some of the major hiking. We would have spent an additional day if we had had the time. The room was very reasonably priced as well and free parking was available - always a plus."
