- "Nasama Resort was an amazing place to stay! There were two restaurants on site that had great tasting and yet starkly different food on offer. The location was only 10 minutes from town by bus. The infinity pool had a great view of the small swimming/snorkling spot exclusive to the resort. There were kayaks and snorkelling equipment available to use free of charge. Staff were super friendly and helpful. " - "Enjoyed our stay at this resort and were very happy with our decision to stay here over several other resorts we had considered. The resort is a short drive of about 10 minutes from 'downtown' Port Vila and it was very quiet. The included breakfast at Cafe Vila was good every morning. The beach at the resort itself isn't much to talk about, but the snorkelling off the beach on the reef was lovwly and I prefer that anyways. Some things are a bit dated and hopefully you don't have an issue with ants and a few other things creeping about (standard for a tropical island)! The resort amenities are pretty simple but it was all fine for us. Overall really enjoyed our stay at Nasama."

- "Very nice hotel, option to use a kayak on the small beach. Food was good, room was very clean. Town/shops is about a 30 min walk away. Our room was on the top floor and there is no lift so request a low floor if you don’t want to carry suitcases up stairs!" - "We went in low season last week, and it was excellent. Weather was great, staff are extremely attentive, friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant is lovely. Was hesitant about this part before arrival due to prior reviews however they now have an amazing head chef. Beautiful food. Lots of extras for free including kayaks, snorkelling and a fire show on the beach one night. A highlight would be watching the hundreds of fish in the lagoon beside the restaurant each morning while we ate. Reception were great at quickly organising anything we needed including the buggy multiple times per day. The views are so peaceful. Location is close to town but over the hill next to the lagoon and 100% peaceful. If you are looking for somewhere quiet, peaceful to recharge then I would recommend this resort in low season. Would imagine it would still be quiet and peaceful in most rooms during peak season except the rooms near the pool. The rooms are probably the best available on Port Vila. Air con was great and on some days we didn't even need it as the breeze coming off the lagoon was great. Only one thing could be improved - they need to get outdoor chairs on the patios that are more comfortable. We found ourselves wanting to sit out there more but chairs were really uncomfortable. Huge thank you to all the staff, particularly Alex at the pool as he went above and beyond for us 🙂"

- "Definitely coming back " - "This was a great deal through Expedia for seven nights and accommodation and flights. We arrived middle of the night and the travel arranged by the staff was seamless. From the 20 minute drive from airport to the five minute ferry trip to the island. We were very thankful for John who was very gracious and assured us that it wasn't a hassle being available to ferry us across after midnight. Our villa was incredibly spacious for two people with a porch overlooking turquoise waters which provided hours of great snorkeling for us during our stay. When we weren't snorkeling, we were lazing in the balcony reading,enjoying the sound of the ocean, and local children laughing across the waters. The humidity was tempered by the ocean breeze which helped dry our clothes quickly. The wifi worked amazing considering it's an island. The staff however are the main asset of this resort. I can't say enough about them. The grounds are gorgeous and immaculately kept. They are always warm, welcoming and incredibly attentive, especially in the restaurant. The lovely Annie will make you feel like a special guest every morning at breakfast, Natalie will check in on you during breakfast and answer questions and provide information. The music played at the restaurant also added to the holiday vibes. Put your privilege and entitlement aside Western travellers, and don't forget to show your appreciation for the care provided by resilient and hardworking Vanuatuan people for your holiday enjoyment. Nelson warmly greeted us, assisted with our luggage, and offered cold mineral water and chilled towels on the bus, which was a refreshing start after our flight. Upon arrival at the hotel, John and his friendly team welcomed us with music and singing, and the manager Raj greeted us at the lobby. The staff, including Davina, Helen, and our sunset cruise captain Joe , were all professional and super friendly. The holiday was fantastic, with excellent activities and experiences arranged by the hotel. For snorkelling enthusiasts like us, exploring the stunning coral reefs of Moso Island, Island Picnic Experience and enjoying the sunset cruise were highlights. On my birthday night, the hotel arranged for a local band to sing a birthday song for me while surprising me with a beautiful cake. I was genuinely touched by their thoughtfulness. Although some signs of age are visible in the hotel's décor that could use updates; overall maintenance is still commendable. The meals provided were delicious and well-presented; however we found some portions to be small due to our larger appetites haha. Additionally it would be great if more beverage options besides mineral water were offered in the minibar. This vacation left a very positive impression of Vanuatu, and I look forward to returning!"

- "Barrier Beach Resort is absolutely magical. It sits on a pristine, teal blue lagoon, with beautiful coral gardens, perfect for snorkeling, kayaking and SUPing. The staff is first class ((Sophia, Rose, Marcel and Tony were amazing) and the food superb. Every table at the restaurant has an outstanding view of the lagoon. Our ocean front room was lovely with a spectacular view of the water. We were lucky to spend 20 days here, and we will be back. - "Island magic resort is in a great location, close to lots of attractions but is very quiet and peaceful. The bungalows are spacious, private and well maintained. We enjoyed exploring the reef out the front of the property - lots of beautiful fish and healthy coral. Often, it was just our family exploring the reef. Gerry and her staff were very accommodating and arranged many activities for our family making the holiday super easy and stress free.
