I made poor attempts at speaking German during my stay but they were very patient and accommodating. I rented a car, which I easily parked in an adjacent lot. The area is quite industrial but it is located a short taxi ride away from shops, bars, restaurants, etc. The only real problem I experienced was that the hotel were supposed to contact me on the day of my arrivial with a code for the keysafe and they never did. My colleagues who arrived a few days before also had the same problem. Fortunately, a German colleague of mine was able to contact the hotel on my behalf and obtain the necessary codes."
