The breakfast options at the hotel were great, annd there was even a juice station where you could make your own juice each morning, although towards the end of our stay it seemed to get quite busy and slightly understaffed. Dinner was great and the setting really was exceptional. It did feel slightly repetitive after several nights, particularly the options on the BBQ, although by the food served was delicious. Staff at the hotel were friendly and attentive, the only downside was the service at the pool and beach which was slow, and the pizzeria was terribly staffed and unorganised. The pizza however was great. The gym at the hotel does not feel like a five star. It is tired and doesn’t feel clean. Every morning we had to ask for the air conditioning to be turned on which wasn’t ideal for a gym that’s supposed to be 24 hour. There was hardly any mats and the ones that were these were dirty and worn. Overall the hotel and location were great. "

The location close to the beach with their own beds and umbrellas at one of the best beaches in the world, is the most important reason for returning. Moreover, the sea is very calm and shallow, which is ideal for young kids. Of course Italian food and icecream doesn't hurt either."

The main strip with restaurants and shopping was located within 5 min walking distance. Antonio very kindly loaned us beach chairs, towels, and an umbrella during our stay so that we could enjoy the beautiful nearby beaches with extra comfort. We greatly appreciated that as we were able to enjoy the free beaches, which tended to be a lot better than the paid ones with rentals. My only real (and VERY minor) complaint is the breakfast. It is a perfectly adequate cafe style breakfast with fruit and pastries. Barbara makes great coffee and fresh juice. I just wish there was more option for eggs, bacon, toast. Personally, I'd happily pay more for these options. Overall, our stay here was great. We would recommend Il Girasole to anybody visiting Vallisimius. It is obvious how much care and attention Barbara and Antonio put into the property. It made for a very pleasant stay and we had a wonderful time. Thank you!"
