The kids club staff were great and very attentive, particularly Mateo and Maxi. There is a disco every night which they loved, along with movie nights. The activities are fun and engaging. The breakfast options at the hotel were great, annd there was even a juice station where you could make your own juice each morning, although towards the end of our stay it seemed to get quite busy and slightly understaffed. Dinner was great and the setting really was exceptional. It did feel slightly repetitive after several nights, particularly the options on the BBQ, although by the food served was delicious. Staff at the hotel were friendly and attentive, the only downside was the service at the pool and beach which was slow, and the pizzeria was terribly staffed and unorganised. The pizza however was great. The gym at the hotel does not feel like a five star. It is tired and doesn’t feel clean. Every morning we had to ask for the air conditioning to be turned on which wasn’t ideal for a gym that’s supposed to be 24 hour. There was hardly any mats and the ones that were these were dirty and worn. Overall the hotel and location were great. "

Importantly, the Resort is very well maintained, repaired (houses, plants, swimmingpool, etc.), cleaned and improved over the years. Equipment for kitchen needs updating not even a kettle and could have had salt and pepper, sugar/oil or anything to make stay better. No microwave or oven just a hob. Very quiet at resort no one seemed to be around much so lacked atmosphere. Maybe if prices were not so high more people would eat at restaurant/cafe and there would be more atmosphere. To be honest everyone was probably all in their rooms or out as never saw many people despite 25 of 39 rooms full. Room was cleaned maybe once or twice in one week. Sea view apt had small balcony ( not large as in photos ) so you might need to check that before you come if want that specifically. Town is near with some bars and restaurants but again not overly busy but that could be time of year. Nice view. If looking for peaceful relaxing stay. Antonio very kindly loaned us beach chairs, towels, and an umbrella during our stay so that we could enjoy the beautiful nearby beaches with extra comfort. We greatly appreciated that as we were able to enjoy the free beaches, which tended to be a lot better than the paid ones with rentals. My only real (and VERY minor) complaint is the breakfast. It is a perfectly adequate cafe style breakfast with fruit and pastries. Barbara makes great coffee and fresh juice. I just wish there was more option for eggs, bacon, toast. Personally, I'd happily pay more for these options. Overall, our stay here was great. We would recommend Il Girasole to anybody visiting Vallisimius. It is obvious how much care and attention Barbara and Antonio put into the property. It made for a very pleasant stay and we had a wonderful time. Thank you!"

- "Every morning after 6am rubish track coming, they seperate recycling into 4 different bins. And then the local house next door started his noisy work in the garden at 8am. In the afternoon, the manager always walking around the villas, controling whats going on around, thats not relaxing holiday. They dont help with any tours, or bike rent. Shop is far away, and they told us dont drink the tap water. Air con is paid extra,10euro per day. They dont give toiletries. The only thing we found was salt in the kitchen. "

Located in a residential area with parking available it is quiet at night yet only a few minutes walk away from the centre with its bars, shops, night market and gelaterias (a different one to try each night!). This location means you can experience the Sardinian way of life yet not miss out on the ‘fun’. We thoroughly enjoyed a very relaxing week here. "
