Whether you're traveling for business or pleasure, with family, friends or solo, this comfortable 2-bedroom in a classic 1896 Chicago Greystone is fully furnished with 2 queen size beds and a full kitchen that will offer the perfect place to unwind during your stay in Chicago.
The location is a great launching pad for access to anywhere in the city. Parking on the street is free and accessible. It is close to 90/94, several main bus lines and within walking distance of 3 Blue Line stations.
The building is what is commonly referred to as a Classic Chicago Greystone and was constructed in 1896. We have worked to maintain what remains of the original wood floors, trim and windows. The kitchen and bathroom have both been upgraded within the last 10 years.
Avondale is one of Chicago’s (kind of) best kept secrets. We are close to a number of amazing, well-known restaurants like Kuma’s Corner, Pissolino and The Wolfhound, all of which are within walking distance. Beer connoisseurs will like being one block away from the Beer Temple, and coffee lovers will enjoy being close to Caravanserai, a Dark Matter coffeehouse.
We are also close to Logan Square and all that it has to offer.
The building is a hop, skip and a jump from I-90/94, offering you easy access to anywhere in the Chicagoland area. We are also close to two main bus lines and 3 Blue Line stations. Uber and Lyft drivers are typically here within minutes.
Our neighborhood is subdued and tree lined; the street is a one-way with accessible, free street parking at most hours of the day.

Guests can access all rooms on the first floor and can use the patio in the backyard; we request that you let us know early in the day if you’d like to use it.
There is no guest access to the laundry room, but there is a laundromat just a few hundred feet up California Ave.

Our stylish and newly-built home in Logan Square has all of the space a family or group of friends traveling together needs - plus easy access to the best restaurants, bars, and shops the neighborhood has to offer (though with all-new appliances, you may find yourself cooking in a couple of nights)! We're a quick walk to the Logan blue line, so it's easy to get to O'Hare or the Loop from here. Free on-site 2 car garage. Have a great visit in this spacious, sunny, beautifully furnished house!
You enter - whether from the garage or the street - onto the main level, which is all gathering areas: living areas laid out to take advantage of light, dining areas, and a large kitchen. There's a half-bath on this level as well. Upstairs is the master bedroom with king bed and ensuite bathroom, two additional bedrooms with queen beds and one room with two twins, and another bathroom. On the lower level is a family room, two bedrooms with queen beds, and a full bathroom.
The house sports blazing fast Wifi internet, three Smart 4K TVs, Sonos speakers, Alexa, and games. Bathrooms are all stocked with essential amenities, including premium shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and fresh towels of varying sizes. The amazing kitchen has all the necessary utensils and stands ready for your cooking. All bedrooms have brand new memory foam mattresses. There is also a new washer and dryer with detergent and dryer sheets.

Located right off main bustling streets in Logan Square, i.e. the famous Milwaukee Ave, you definitely won’t need a car as the property is conveniently located approximately 3 blocks from the blue line!
Street - zoned parking is typically readily available on the block as well. (1) garage spot available at $25 add’l.
The space itself includes a queen bed in each bedroom (2). Living room has (2) twin XL daybeds with plush memory foam mattresses, and additional let-down chaise seating (as an additional comfy bonus, single-sized bed). A 50 inch flat screen is in the living room with cable included! HBO/Netflix access as bonus.
All pets will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Please inquire beforehand! Excessive shedding found will incur an extra $25 pet cleaning fee. Please do not assume I will automatically accept your pet! Violations of this request can subject me to cancel your reservation with no refund to be considered!!!
*Note: The back exterior porch area is currently slated/pending a demo/addition remodel slated for Fall 2022, and is boarded up because of this. It does not interfere with the living space itself, because it is actually a back porch. About the area:
Logan Square is amazing. It’s super hip, chic, and artsy. You will love it! The house is minutes or walking distance from various bars/taps, restaurants, grocery stores, the famous Logan Theater, Concord Music, parks— anything imaginable.
The house is less than a three block walk to the blue line “el” (Logan Square stop), and less than a half a block from the CTA-Kimball stop. I-90/94 access is approximately 5 blocks away as well. I can provide more information for public transportation upon request.
Note: I will be staying above you with my dog, Bella, and neither of us bite! Feel free to ask me any questions or recommendations about the neighborhood if you catch me around the house. I like to explore the city as well, so you’re free to join me if you’re completely at a loss to figure out something!

- There is a free parking space accessible via the alleyway behind the home in the garage. It is better suited for smaller vehicles (compact SUV's and Sedans)
- Early Check-Ins and Late Check-Outs are difficult to accommodate. If you need additional time, please consider booking an extra day.

Welcome to our beautiful and spacious home in the trendy Logan Square neighborhood of Chicago! A short 3-minute walk to the Logan Square blue line, (15 minutes to downtown and 20 minutes to O'hare Airport), and a 3 minute drive to Interstate 90/94. 2 car garage with additional parking passes and tons of street parking. Located on a quiet street, fenced in backyard, with plenty of great restaurants, bars, and shops nearby.
The home was specifically designed to ensure an amazing experience for all your guests. This is an ideal location if you're looking to live like a local; safe quiet neighborhood and a 6 minute walk to incredible bars and restaurants in Logan Square and quick trips via public transit or ride sharing to all that Chicago has to offer.
The main floor is a beautifully designed open concept with a cozy sitting area overlooking the fireplace, a dining area, chef's kitchen, and living room. Directly off the living room is access to an outdoor patio, gas grill, and great outdoor space to enjoy (or curse) the Chicago weather. Beyond the outdoor space is a private 2 car detached garage.
Upstairs is the master bedroom with a king bed and ensuite bathroom, second bedroom with 2 queen beds and a desk great for your work from home needs, and third bedroom with two twin beds, and an additional full bathroom. The lower level has a fourth bedroom with a twin and double bed, a full bathroom, a small workout area with free weights and an elliptical, a second living room with a futon, and a washer and dryer.
Our home has lightning fast Wifi internet, 7 Smart TVs (one in each bedroom, living room, and workout area), Sonos speakers on the main and lower levels, tons of board games, pop-a-shot, a dart board, outdoor lawn games, a fire pit, and tons of outdoor seating. And parking on the street is a real challenge-but free! We didn’t mind the walk down the street to get to and from our car, but if you need parking to be close and accessible, it probably is not your place. We would definitely choose to stay again!"

The house is well distributed, therefore everyone enjoys their privacy, while also giving the opportunity for great inter-cultural and international interactions. We have 3.5 bathrooms, so there is no bumping into each other at shower time. The focal point of the house is the main kitchen and dinning room where everyone gathers during the evening for a little while.

I am self-employed, therefore I spend a good amount of time in the house, except when I have meetings or special assignments. Depending on our schedules, sometimes we have breakfast or dinner together.
I always provide a good orientation about the transportation system, various neighborhoods and other activities that you probably want to do while in Chicago.

Cleaning fees are charged per visit, or per month, depending on the length of your stay. Minimum charge per month in this room is $50.

Relax and unwind in our spacious, beautifully appointed and newly rehabbed Maya Garden Suite. We chose the name Maya Garden Suite because we have decorated the apartment with beautiful handmade Mayan textiles and artwork that we have collected over the years.
The Maya Garden Suite comfortably sleeps 4 people (2 on queen bed in main bedroom and 2 on queen sofa bed in living room).
The kitchen is fully equipped with coffee maker, tea kettle, pots, pans, glasses, dishes, silverware as well as olive oil, balsamic vinegar and a variety of spices for your cooking pleasure.
All linens are provided (sheets, towels, kitchen towels etc.) as well as hair dryer, iron and ironing board. The apartment is equipped with separate central heat and air to adjust for your comfort.

Just steps from your room is our beautiful backyard garden for your pleasure. Enjoy a cocktail, grilling out and dining al fresco on the patio. We provide free parking permits if you have a car. Street parking is always available right in front of the house - please ask for parking permits if you or your guests will have a car as the city does require permits for this neighborhood. We offer free laundry with a full washer and dryer just outside your apartment door.
We can also set up a pack and play inside the bedroom at your request.

Other things to note
The ceilings in the apartment are 6.5 feet high and can comfortably accommodate guests around 6 feet tall, but might be uncomfortable for very tall guests.
Additionally, as this is a basement garden apartment, there will be some noises from the apartment above. Due to the construction of the building and the level of soundproofing between the floors you may hear foot steps, some talking, TV and mechanical sounds from the upstairs unit (water/hvac). Our first floor tenants are asked to be conscientious and considerate of guests in the Maya Garden Suite, but there are some sounds that cannot be controlled and just come with the property design and construction.
We will enforce the house rules and say something on your behalf if the tenants above you are being blatantly disrespectful and loud, but this situation is rarely an issue. Please let us know if you feel the tenants above you are being too loud, especially after 10 pm.

Inside your bedroom is a queen-sized Nectar Premium Hybrid bed, a nightstand, a mini-split AC/heat source, and a closet. There is a washer/dryer to use in the basement.

There is no central A/C. The unit is located halfway below ground, so it stays a little cooler, but it also gets more humid. We have two good fans that are always in the unit, but anyone who's used to keeping their house cold during summer will find this hard to take.

We recently moved into this house and heard rumors about strange happenings in and around it, but ignored them. The garden unit was sealed shut and no matter how hard we tried, we could not open it. One day the door was mysteriously ajar. We entered what looks like house elf quarters! We’re muggles, but the family before us must not have been. Elves are very small, so be warned, the ceilings are very low. Anyone 6’ or taller may want to book elsewhere, or be ready to slouch.
The space
The space has 2 bedrooms. Both with a queen beds, one is lower to the ground. Both bedrooms have dressers and two hangers. The living room has a couch and a 50” television. The bathroom has a stand up shower, no tub. The dining rooms seats 4. The kitchen includes a french press coffee maker, toaster, stove, brand new microwave and new refrigerator. The ceilings are about 6’ tall and lower in some places, so please consider this before booking.
Please also keep in mind this is a historic neighborhood and older home in the basement unit, so creaking sounds, and noise from the upstairs is to be expected. We provide a sound machine, box fans, and ear plugs to accommodate :)
The Belmont blue line stop is a 6 minute walk from your door!

The space
This just gut rehabbed apartment, includes an anatomic queen size bed, and a very comfortable queen size sofa bed.
The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare your own meal or breakfast. It features a separate refrigerator, freezer and a microwave oven.
A combo washer/dryer unit is located in the bathroom for your laundry. The hair dryer can be found in the bathroom vanity. The iron, iron board and vacuum are located inside the bedroom cabinet. Extra bathroom towels, bed linens and pillows can also be found inside the bedroom cabinet.
A 42" flat screen TV is connected to an Apple TV (no cable). You can make unlimited use of Netflix over Apple TV to watch any movie you might like or stream music/video from your iPhone.
Location and Business Travel
The apartment is business-traveler ready with high-speed wifi, iron, hair dryer, and hard-wired smoke and CO detector, with the location just 20 minutes drive from O'Hare. Located a 20 minutes from downtown Chicago, or 30-minute CTA train ride with station only at a couple blocks away (5 minutes walk).

The apartment is on the third floor of the building thus two flights of stairs to the entry
Parking
There is free, 24/7 no permit street parking on W. Barry Ave which is located at the south side of the building's block.
On guest's request I can also provide daily City of Chicago parking permits for the street zoned area (Zone 2139) in front of the property at Central Park Ave (fee is $150 for 45 daily parking permits).
Mail
The small key in the key ring provided opens the first mailbox from the right. If you are staying for an extended time, please put a sticker with your name outside the mailbox and remove after your departure (don't change the small middle label with the name Vergotis/BlueHouse Property)
Packages are dropped off at the front porch. Please keep an eye on when your package is delivered and make sure you pick it up on time.
Sometimes the 1st and 2nd floor tenants take them inside the entrance hall behind the main front porch entrance. You can check if your package is inside the entrance hall by opening the porch door using code 2510.

Cozy one bedroom attic apartment in Avondale located on top of a 3 story building. Close to Milwaukee, restaurants, and bars. A perfect crash pad for touristing in Chicago. You have your own entrance but since people in this building are working from home, and need to sleep at night, no loud music or partying is allowed at any time! But then, there is no need to bring the party home - you have everything you need just outside the door!

The attic apartment is located on the top of the 3 story building. Inside you find a kitchen, dining and living room in open concept design. Next to the living room you will find a small bathroom with 1 person shower. On the other end of the living room is a bedroom separated by a barn door. Inside the bedroom are bed, 2 night stands, dresser and a walk in closet with washer/dryer.
