Using Bolt car shares worked as an alternative to public transport with two or more people but became higher priced during weekends/peak travel times. The restaurant a short walk down the road was great (try the sweet spare ribs) and having the store in hotel was handy. Renting and being able to easily park a car at the hotel was handy for traveling outside of Amsterdam but research where you can park at your destination and be prepared for gas prices! The laundry was small machines with separate washer & dryer so plan accordingly if you have to do laundry. The busses to/from airport require ~15 minutes of walking - better to just ride share it if you have luggage. Also need to walk to catch bus into city. This is a perfect location if you're staying awhile, want to save a few bucks, and don't mind biking but you may also want to consider staying in a nearby city like Haarlem with a train that takes you into Amsterdam Central."

- "Amrath Apart Hotel was a very accommodating and clean during our stay there. It had the essentials we needed. We bought a few items like shampoo, body wash, hand soap, dish soap, sponge, and laundry detergent that wasn’t provided. Although the location is nice and in between airport and Amsterdam, it was still 20 min away from Amsterdam. So if your looking for more centralized Amsterdam and need the train station as your transportation, you need to pick a closer location in Amsterdam. We had to Uber on many occasions or figure out the bus schedule. No restaurant on site but there is a small market with snacks and drinks. No real food so you would either have to go to a 25-30 min walk to their nearest grocery or bring back food from the city. There is a microwave and fridge and hair dryer. Bed was comfortable and sheets clean. Laundry on site is free but you have to wait for others to finish laundry. I would contact true front desk if you waited more than 10 min on laundry that has been sitting in the machine. Otherwise, Ms. Patty and the Manager was very friendly and professional. They assisted us with our chaotic check-in and throughout our stay. We do appreciate you both! Thank you so much!"

At an ideal location in relation to Amsterdam (10 min) a great house for rent: Spacious, sunny and complete! On the ground floor there is a complete kitchen with all necessary kitchen appliances. It said it had a market with food etc but it has very little. No dairy, no fruit, no cheese , no bread just candy and you have to buy coffee tea and waters. The space
The Montana is an 8 metre fully equipped cosy boat. There is water, electricity and gas on board. There are two sleeping places at the front of the boat. In the living area, you can find a small kitchenette (including a sink, hobs, and basic kitchen accessories). The boat is fully carpeted for extra comfort.
Please note: There are NO SHOWER facilities onboard.
There is a possibility of showering at a gym near by.
It is a 15min walk to the gym and allows you to purchase a daily gym pass for 10euro with the use of the gym and shower.
There is a portable chemical toilet onboard, and there is a sink with running water for washing.
IMPORTANT this boat is not suitable for very tall people as you will not be able to stand up straight if you are very tall.
The bed has recently been updated so it foes sleep 2 people comfortable.

During your stay, the boat will remain stationary. The boat is not available for guests to drive.
I would kindly ask all guests to read carefully before booking during the winter season.
During the colder seasons it is very important to us that all our guests stay warm, for this reason we have a gas heater and a lot of extra thick blankets.
To guests who have not stayed on a boat before please be aware that when you are staying on a boat and you are mixing hot air from the gas heater with cold air from the boat, you are likely to get some condensation on the windows.
This can easily be wiped with a towel, which we also provide.
And this is also the reason why our prices are lower in the winter than in the summer.
In the winter season, the price of the boat can be as low as 50euro per night. This price is only the price of the boat.
If you wish to have the boat with heating then it's an extra 5euro per night so it is important that you let us know on arrival so we will arrange the gas bottle and extra service of the heating through the app.
It is very important that you respect the area and are aware of the rules.
This is NOT a party boat, and if you wish to get high or party, then you must do this away from the boat.
In the evening, we expect our guests to keep the noise down and respect the neighbourhood.
All in all, this boat is a unique camping experience with a few extras.
Those who have committed to it have certainly enjoyed their time, and it is very nice to see people enjoying themselves so close to Amsterdam centre.
As most of Amsterdam is built on the water, it deafenatly can not get any more real than this.

Very important The boat is no longer at the location of the listing as we have moved to zaandam in order to make it easier to access Amsterdam by public transport.
The new place offers free parking close to the boat.
Also a gym 15minutes walk from the boat where you can buy a daily gym pass which offers you the use of a shower.

Other things to note
Please note: Electricity to the boat is via solar power. You will have electricity for the duration of your stay. However, you must follow the instructions given to you on arrival to ensure this. Please do not expect to be able to run multiple electronical devices all day and night.
It is important to bring Usb cable in case you need to charge phones, etc.


On arrival, we ask at least one of the guests to provide a copy of their I.D. Refusal to do so will result in immediate cancellation.
We start check in at 4 pm til 7pm.
We will ask you to arrange an exact time with us during these hours so we can hand over the keys and give you thorough instructions about how everything works on the boat, giving you enough time to answer all your questions.
Any arrival after 7pm will be charged at 10euro for every hour past 7pm.

Really important if you are travelling with you dog please be aware that he must be small enough for you to carry him onto the boat as the boat is parked with the back end to the dock making it impossible for a dog to jump on by himself.

Our little wooden cottage, studioappartment is approx 20 m2 connected to our home and garden. It has a private entrance, as well as a door to the garden, a very comfortable 160x200cm bed, kitchenette and cosy dining table annex desk and central heating. There is also a small functional private bathroom with shower, comfortable sink and toilet. For a third person will be there a folded floor mattrass.
Fresh towels and bed linnen, coffee, tea are included!

Are you're looking for a cozy and comfortabel stay near Schiphol and Amsterdam? Our cottage is an ideal place to stay overnight for a transfer of the airport, a weekend of few days out to explore Amsterdam or a holiday home for a longer stay to explore more of the Netherlands such as Haarlem, Rotterdam, The Hague, Utrecht etc. If you want to come with a third person I provide on request a simple floor mattrass with bedlinnen.

Our friendly neighbourhood is quiet and safe. There is free and easy parking on the available red spots in our streets across from our house or surroundingstreets.

Our place is only 10 car minutes away from Schiphol Airport and it will take you about 15 minutes to get to Amsterdam city center by car.
Badhoevedorp is right between Schiphol airport and Amsterdam city center. Nearby facilities, within a half kilometer a small town shopping center with supermarket, pubs, other shops, restaurants (Italian, French, Chinese and Dutch).

Free and easy parking in front of the house and on the driveway if available, 20 car-minutes to Amsterdam Leidseplein.

Tiny homestudio is NOT in Amsterdam but 5 minutes walk to the city limits. You have to travel to get to the centre.
To get to Central Station in Amsterdam by public transport count on approx 45 minutes. Realise this please! In case of other expectations and give a bad review for this.
Coming with 2 persons I presume you want the double bed. If want a separate mattrass there will be extra costs € 10,- for preparing and extra bedlinnen.
