The apartment building was very quiet and we loved the rooftop area to wind down after a long day of universal studios and exploring the area. I loved that the apartment was fully furnished so we were able to feel at home. We have already decided when we come back to LA we will be booking again! The room we stayed in had a victorian feel in the breakfast nook, and nice homey touches like small photos and hanging lamps and decorations that you don't find in most hotels. I wasn't expecting a full suite when I booked, but it looks like all rooms come with a separate bedroom and living room area and a mini kitchen (full kitchen in some rooms). The photos don't do this hotel justice, and I was pleasantly surprised after checking in. The owner Candace was super accommodating and you can tell she really cares about her guests. She really went out of her way to make more convenient arrangements for myself and some other guests. She was at the hotel day and night working and taking care of anything that needed to be done. I was a little hesitant to book initially because the area seemed slightly run down, but it was quiet at night, and only about a 15 min walk from the downtown convention center area. We really enjoyed staying here and will definitely book again in the future!"

Welcome to my beautiful home in "Historic" View Park. Stay in our Master Bedroom on the 1st floor with its own private entrance and gorgeous view of Downtown LA and the Hollywood Sign. The master bedroom is closed off from the main house, so you will have complete privacy along with your own bathroom with shower. With access to the pool through your own private walk way, its an amazing experience. We are a friendly family of 3.

As you continue in, you’ll enjoy one of my favorite games of all time: foosball! My friends and family said it couldn’t fit and wasn’t necessary given the pool table but I was obsessed and had to make it fit for you all! There are two balls in the slots for use! ⚽️

Downstairs is also where you’ll find the guest restroom + laundry room. The storage closet nearest the laundry room is fully stocked with additional cleaning products and soaps for you as needed during your stay. Beneath the washer in its drawer, you’ll find some extra laundry necessities to also use during your stay. 🧺

As you make your way upstairs, to your right is the Suede Master Bedroom I where you’ll have a wealth of space and walk-in closet along with additional storage as needed. There is a remote working station that can be used in this suite as well. 💻

Step into Woodsy Bedroom II where you’ll be even more cozy! The distressed wood look has always been one of my favorite designs. 💎

Each bedroom is equipped with mounted 43” smart televisions where you can sign onto your streaming service or provider although, you will have access to my Netflix account during your stay! You can also screen mirror from your phone onto the television, if desired. 📺🪞

The first full bathroom upstairs (nearest the master) features the bath tub & additional storage space with extra toiletries, if needed. The second bathroom features a luxurious walk-in spa for you & maybe a +1. ❤️

Some extras available during your stay are downstairs within the doors nearest the entryway. The first door to the left of the mirror is a utility closet for my housekeepers’ supplies and will be locked during your stay. The other door to the right of the entry door, you’ll find a foldable rollaway bed (aka. floor mattress since Vrbo didn’t have an option to select for foldable rollaway bed) along with additional sheets, pillows, pillow cases and a blanket (if needed). Additional foldable table and set of 4-chairs are available inside here as needed along with a broom. 🧻🪥🪒

Guest access
There is free street parking and more importantly, private parking exclusive to my guests. You can fit up to 3 cars comfortably. The driveway is a bit narrow so, please check both sides when pulling in or backing in for ease when entering along with exiting.

The driveway gate is AUTOMATIC & is always locked. You will need to use the gate remote control to lock and unlock gates when entering and exiting.

Please review street signs for street cleaning limitations and ensure your car is not parked on the wrong side of the street during street cleaning days. Of course, I highly recommend parking in the driveway as much as possible!

There is absolutely NO smoking inside of my home & any slight detection of vaping or smoking of any kind in any parts of the home is subject to a $500 penalty. This is on top of any other accommodation or cleaning fee charged initially at booking. The listing specifies NO SMOKING as do the signs in my home & as outlined on photos. Smoking should happen outside with all windows and doors closed to avoid smoke from entering the home.

The driveway gate is AUTOMATIC & is always locked. You will need to use the gate remote control to lock and unlock gates when entering and exiting.

The home can be a bit chilly in the colder seasons so, I generally have the heat set to keep the house at or around 67-70 degrees or even warmer during the evening times. Feel free to adjust as you feel it best. The central A/C and heating system is controlled by the thermostat in the upstairs hallway.

The upstairs Bathroom III & Spa needs some patience with the water getting hot so, I recommend turning it on a few minutes before you’re getting in to allow it time to get hot & steamy!

Also, there is a small lemon tree in the front yard and you’re more than welcome to help yourself to some lemons as long as you leave some for others, please! We are watering the tree so more fresh lemons can grow. 🍋

The bungalow is two miles from the convention center -- just a quick and inexpensive Uber/Lyft each morning and evening. One evening I walked the distance and it is doable for active folks. The ride is quicker, of course. Jessica has appointed her bungalow with thoughtfulness and care, and it truly felt like it was designed especially for me. It is immaculately clean and fresh, yet still has the charm of historical Los Angeles. The friendly neighborhood added to the pleasure of my stay here. Each day, my Uber driver dropped me a short walk away, and as I walked to and from my bungalow, neighbors on their porches greeted me with pleasant, good-humored banter. Jessica has addressed every detail in making this sweet bungalow feel like home to guests. I loved the elephant theme in the living room! The bedroom was perfect and the bed was even more perfect. In fact, the bungalow is so comfortable that just being there was restful, even when I wasn't sleeping. The bathroom, like the entire bungalow, was sparkling clean, with personal supplies guests might need. Very thankful for the nice hair dryer. Plenty of shampoo and conditioner for people who don't have their own. Crisp, clean bathroom linens seemed brand new. The kitchen is always important to me, as I have food issues and must prepare much of my own food. Jessica has provided all the utensils someone like me needs, with none of those toxic "non-stick" pans. I had all the pans I needed for my daily meals. In addition, there are snack items and food staples, including coffee, tea, cocoa, olive oil, etc. -- things that can be difficult to pack and get through TSA. While I had never met Jessica before, she went to considerable efforts to contact me at my LAX arrival time to see that I was able to connect with a shared-ride. I had some trouble with that, but her suggestions helped me with that. Before I arrived at the bungalow, she sent a perfectly-timed message with bungalow access code and WiFi access information. Finally, Jessica went far beyond what I would have expected as she actually took me shopping for food. I have considerable and profound food difficulties and Jessica was familiar with where I would need to shop to get what I needed. Having Jessica was like having a caring relative seeing to my needs. Staying in Jessica's bungalow is reason enough to return to LA."

- "This eclectically-furnished side-by-side duplex property has windows on 3 sides, and yet is utterly concealed from the outside world. It has lush, dense plantings in the front; if you expect to return after dark, leave the porch light on when you go out so that you can find the front door! The house does include a parking pad, but there is plenty of parking on the street, too. Be aware: early Monday morning is garbage pickup, so on Sunday night, neighbors' trash cans occupy a lot of the parking spaces! There are 4 small steps to get into the house. Once inside, the room is wide open and the floor is continuous, without thresholds, which makes it easily navigable for people with physical handicaps. (The hallway is too narrow to allow a wheelchair to turn into the bathroom or bedroom, but a person using a cane or walker would have no problem.) The kitchen area is large, with a new refrigerator, and every imaginable appliance -- coffeemaker, microwave, toaster, slow cooker, etc. Lighting is good throughout. The window air conditioners -- main room and bedroom -- were noisy cycling on and off, but they kept the place cool and were easy to adjust with the remote control. Seating is comfortable, particularly the glider / rocker by the front window. The bedroom has a large closet with plenty of hangers, and the queen-size bed is so comfortable, it was hard to get up in the morning. Furnishings such as draperies, chair covers, towels and washcloths, are casually mix-and-match, like a real home rather than a hotel. Everything was clean and thoughtfully laid out. We were visiting family a few miles away and did not travel to LA attractions, but the house is conveniently located to nearby freeways, and the owner provides an assortment of maps and guidebooks for those who do want to see the sights. When we make another trip to Los Angeles, we would stay here again. "
