Detailed Description
In this apartment, you'll have a private entrance and easy-to-find street parking. There are 2 bedrooms. The master has a queen bed, an easy chair with footstool, and a stand-alone closet. The other bedroom has a full bed and a stand-alone closet. There is also a pull-out couch in the living area for larger groups.

The unit was newly built at the end of 2015, and has hardly been lived in since, so everything is up-to-date. The apartment has high ceilings, which are quite uncommon in the Congress Park neighborhood, and lots of natural light.

A newly purchased washer and dryer allow you to keep your vacation wardrobe tidy and clean, while the home also comes stocked with fresh linens and towels. The pristine, full bathroom features a shower/tub combo for your morning prep. If needed, there are a clothes iron, ironing board and hair dryer all available.

The living area has a brand new large flat-screen Smart TV with Roku streaming (no cable though) and magazines.

The kitchenette has a full-sized fridge, sink, large toaster oven, microwave, blender (NutriBullet), cutting boards, coffee maker (with complementary coffee), kettle (with lots of complementary tea from our travels around the world), utensils, and more. No oven or hotpad though! If you aren’t in the mood to eat in, we've provided menus for the very long list of walkable restaurants and bars nearby.

The space is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, & families. If you are here for work, there is a desk, a kitchen table and a couch, all of which make nice places to work from. Our internet is very reliable and fast (maximum speed of 1000 mbps), so it can handle all of your needs. The unit is easily accessible with a digital keypad that we will send you the code for so no worries if you need a late check-in - there's no need to coordinate schedules to get a key from us.

The apartment is nice & cool in the hot summer months and warm & cozy when it's cold out.

You have sole access to the entire apartment throughout your stay. We reserve the backyard and front yard, however, for our family's use.
Other things to note
Our house is 112 years old, which adds to its charm but also means that there is noise transfer between levels given that we live above the unit. This includes when someone is walking up and down the stairs, or when the kids are running around on the main level. We keep quiet hours between 10pm and 7am, and are very conscious to make sure that things are quiet during those hours. After 7am we'll be up and about on the main level. If you are a light morning sleeper and plan to sleep-in, we provide sound machines to block out the morning noises before we leave for work and school. However, if you need absolute silence, that isn't something that we can guarantee during the times that we're around!

Check-in time is after 3pm, while check out time is 10am. However, we are happy to be flexible when no one else is departing/arriving on the same day.

We don't allow smoking. When you are booking please note the correct number who will be staying as the price may vary. If the number of guests who stay varies from the number who are listed, we will ask the booking be updated.

There is street parking. During certain periods of the day/year it may be limited. There is a farmers market on Saturday mornings during the summer. During the weekdays, traffic picks up due to the nearby high school.

Please note, the entrance to the unit is via the home's original side entrance. The door height is 6 feet and the stairs into the unit are steep.

Located in Denver’s Congress Park neighborhood, this cozy three-bedroom garden level unit is perfect for anyone who wants ease of access to the Red Rocks, the Rocky Mountains, downtown Denver, or to stay in a quaint historic neighborhood. You will be walking distance to multiple parks, coffee shops, the Bluebird Theater for concerts, and numerous restaurants.

Sleeps up to 5 people. There are three bedrooms (2 queen beds and a twin daybed) as well as a pullout couch in the living room, and one small bathroom. Includes an additional floor and wall mirror. The beds are all foam mattresses, and the pullout couch is formed from couch cushions rather than a thin mattress. Each bedroom also has a closet and hangers to organize and hang any clothes.

The living room area has a sectional couch that can easily sit 4-5 people, with extra blankets and pillows. There is a reading nook in the back corner to enjoy your morning coffee next to the exposed brick wall.

You are in a garden unit with lower ceilings (if you are over 6'4" make a note of this!), but this creates a cozy, comfortable feeling. Each bedroom also has a window or two with window coverings to provide plenty of light...or to keep it out!

PLEASE NOTE FOR HEATING & AC: There is one AC unit which is portable, but since it is a basement unit it stays relatively cool and there are 2 portable floor fans. You may also open windows in the unit for air flow. The unit is heated, but there is no control for the heat - it is managed by the upstairs units. Space heaters are also provided. You can also open or close vents in the unit to control the heat.

This unit is located only 40 minutes away from Denver International Airport and 10-15 minutes from other popular Denver neighborhoods like the Highlands, LoDo, RiNo, and Wash Park. Popular mountain resorts such as Vail or Breckenridge are about 1.5 hours away, and Colorado Springs is just over an hour. This area is popular, and any ride share apps such as Uber or Lyft work well. There is also a bike lane right outside of the unit that stretches across the city.

Quintessential Cheeseman Park is a few blocks away and is a popular spot for Denverites in the summer, and a half mile walk to Colfax Avenue will get you to concert venues, bars, breweries, and other shops. The Botanical Gardens is also only half a mile away and is just as beautiful in the winter during the Blossom of Lights as it is in the spring.

NO parties and NO smoking in the unit. If you're looking for a late night spot to party in Denver, please look elsewhere. Quiet hours are 10PM to 7AM to respect your upstairs neighbors. If you are smoking inside or close to the house so it drifts in the upstairs units, you will be charged a $150 cleaning fee.

Your pets are welcome! This is a $75 flat fee. You can add them to your booking or message me.

EARLY CHECKIN / LATE CHECKOUT: we try and be as accommodating to our guests as possible. If it allows with our cleaners schedules and you have reached out to me via a message, you may be able to check in or out an hour early/late for no additional fee, or for an additional $10 dollars per hour if checking in before 3 PM or checking out after 11 AM.

The host was helpful the next morning - but not apologetic. We had to ask for a one night refund. Nothing was offered. When we asked for a one night credit they did grant it. In the winter months the tv room (living room) is dang cold. It seems there is no way to regulate the heat in the unit. I believe it is all regulated from the upstairs units in the building. There were no extras - coffee, tea, or anything of the like. It is a lovely neighborhood, nice location, albeit on a very busy street. "

The space
Wood floors, 9’ ceilings and incandescent lighting throughout lower level highlight spacious rooms. Great windows that let the light in. Nice cabinetry in the kitchen with gas stove, elegant lighting, granite countertops and a breakfast bar are open to dining area. Custom built Elfa closet systems throughout the bedrooms. All upper bedrooms have great character with the unique ceiling. Spacious master with en suite 5-pc bath. Lower level family room with more wood floors, natural light and is another great room for relaxing.

Repair took place the afternoon of day 3 and we were told by host that home would be cooled down by the evening. Temperatures were triple digits and we could not have been in the house that day. it was 84 degrees inside at 6:30 that morning. This is a 4200 foot home with one AC unit. Host decided to book XFinity repair for the day that we checked back in. Too little too late as we had already rented office space. We wanted to settle back in after 3 days gone and asked for her to do repair after we checked out. She committed to me that she would cancel repair then immediately went to my husband to tell him that she would not be cancelling repair appointment. At this point we felt that we had no choice but to make a claim with VRBO. They spoke with her and appointment was cancelled. We will never be made whole for this but those who book moving forward should know that this home is well worn, not well maintained and on a busy street."

The 36 takes you to Boulder and eventually the Rocky Mountain National Park gateway towns of Lyons and Estes Park.

The space
Bright and welcoming, this one bedroom-one bath suite is a comfortable and peaceful retreat after a day of traveling, sight-seeing, or working in the Denver area. The private entrance to your space is on the north side of our home where you'll find a stairway that will take you down to the suite.

Guest access
In addition to your suite, you are welcome to relax on our traditional front porch, admiring the tall trees lining the street, and watching the neighborhood happenings in Congress Park. If you need to do laundry, we can provide access to our washer and dryer.

Other things to note
As this is a basement suite and we are a family with two kids, we recognize that sounds can travel from the first floor to the basement. We recently added new insulation in the ceiling to help dampen noise. Please be aware though, that this is a 1908 home, and some noise will travel, mainly footsteps. The active hours in our home are mainly between 7:30 am to 9:00 pm during the week and from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm on the weekends.

We are a great fit for those who are out-and-about during the day enjoying some of Denver's premier attractions and Colorado's beauty. If you are a light sleeper and like to sleep in, you may want to pack earplugs just in case. If you plan to hang out in the suite for a good part of the day or evening, depending on your tolerance for noise, we may not be the best choice for you. We want to accommodate our guests as much as we can, but this is a family home with all of the energy that entails.

Finally, please note that the basement ceiling is about 7 feet high.

Lovely garden level basement apartment, newly remodeled in a 1904 historic home located in the Wyman Historic District. Walking distance to 3 major parks, dining, coffee shops, Denver Botanic Gardens, or take a Lyft 10 min to Downtown or even closer to the Cherry Creek district. Buses are also half a block away. We would be happy to tell you more about the surrounding areas and our favorite hangouts. We used as much reclaimed material as possible to craft this speakeasy-style space.

The space
Street parking can be tricky, but no problem during the day and always a spot available within a couple of blocks. The entrance is on the side of the house and dedicated to your space. PLEASE watch your head coming down the stairs, it's low clearance! We have tea, coffee beans, and sweeteners available to you, along with a thin neck electric kettle, coffee grinder, French press, and pour over options. At times there will be creamer from previous guests, but we leave it to you to stock milk options. There will be some ramen if you need a quick meal after your journey. If you want to cook outdoors with our BBQ grill and dine on the backyard deck we simply need to coordinate ahead of time.

You can access the entire space except the mechanical room which is the blue door inside of the laundry room.

We currently don't have a freezer, only a restaurant quality small fridge.
We have two small children and although we do what we can to minimize the noise they create, you will hear them during the day - playing, crying and running around. Evenings are fairly quiet after 8pm - we generally don't play music or watch movies after dinnertime, and rarely have houseguests late in the evening. We take the kids down to the 1st floor as early as 6:30am on school days. On occasion there will be noise earlier than 6:30am when my wife and I have to prepare for work or if one of our kids has a bad morning, but we do our best to minimize this. If you are a light sleeper and like to sleep in, or simply don't like the sounds of children, this may not be the place for you.

Located on the first floor of a three story home in historic Congress Park, the apartment has two entrances (one that is shared with upstairs and a private entrance from the back yard). Clean, bright, and chock full of character, this space never fails to charm the people who visit. Minutes from City Park and Cherry Creek. 5 minutes from Downtown Denver (very affordable Uber or Lyft!)

We made sure to take care of the important things! You will have central AC, great linens, a cozy couch, wireless internet (300 mbs), flat screen TV, and two bicycles for guest use.

The kitchen is fully outfitted with a gas stove, pans, pots, dishes, cooking utensils, microwave, toaster, electric tea kettle and a lot of spices! (if you need anything else contact me you are more than welcome to borrow stuff from me!).

There is complimentary coffee and creamers - make as much as you want! (also a french press for the coffee aficionados!

The king bed is super comfortable! New Nectar mattress!!! Lots of rave reviews!

A porch is off the kitchen door for guest access only - enjoy your coffee or a conversation there! We also have a great back yard - paved with flagstone, you can access two separate tables underneath a beautiful tree for shade, outdoor restaurant lighting and a fully functional gas grill!

Off street Parking spot also and laundry always available!!!

This is a private room with en-suite bathroom in our finished basement. Our home is a modernized Denver bungalow reflecting the charm of the East 7th Avenue Historic District. The neighborhood is safe, clean and centrally located.

Walk 3 blocks to Cherry Creek North, with it's many restaurants, bars, art galleries, fashion boutiques, home furnishings stores, spas, salons and fitness studios.

Downtown is a 10 minute drive or 25 minute bike ride. Bus options are also only a few blocks away.

The space
There is 700+ sq. ft. of space for your stay. We have luxury furniture & a luxury memory foam mattress for you. Our ethos is to provide a clean space and a jumping off point for you to explore Denver.

We live upstairs with our two young children and sweet but energetic middle-aged Labrador Retriever - River. She loves our guests. You will hear us and all the things life with children and a dog entails: laughing, crying, and pitter patter. We provide a noise machine for your comfort. You can expect noise similar to apartment-living.

During your stay
We both work from home so are available to solve any problem that may arise during your stay. Please send us an app message for the quickest response.

Outside of working hours (M-F, 9am-5pm), we are also available in person to give recommendations for fun things to do in Denver.

Other things to note
This is a family friendly rental. Our space is smoke-free (vaping included) and drug-free, both inside and outside the property.

No pets allowed.

Our spot is perfect if you want to walk, scooter, bike or take RTD (mass transit) around the city. You can walk to the red rocks bus (about 15 mins to the pickup on Colfax), the numerous music venues on Colfax, the botanic gardens or the Cherry Creek business district. Lime/Lyft scooters & e-bikes are often within 3-5 blocks of our house to explore as well - then hop on the cherry creek bike trail or 7th avenue bikeway.

Also note, because our neighborhood has larger homes and all homes have garages, free on-street lighted parking is never a problem if you want to explore by vehicle.

We're also a great place if you just want a comfortable, clean and central location. We don't much like the cleaning fees and the nickel and diming that often happens - we try to keep our place affordable. Hope to see you in the suite!

This one bedroom one bathroom apartment is on the lower level of our home. There is a private entrance and a free parking space in the driveway. There is also ample free street parking. The apartment was completely renovated in 2020. The kitchen has a refrigerator/freezer with ice/filtered water, dishwasher, built-in convection oven and microwave oven and 2 induction plate burners for cooking on the kitchen island. There is a queen bed, dresser and closet in bedroom. Mattress and pillows have Sleep Safe protectors. Blackout blinds in bedroom. The couch in the living space folds down as a twin bed for an extra guest. It is firm and may not be the most comfortable for everyone. There is a HEPA Air Purifier. We provide Wifi, smart TV, cable and a smart thermostat managed via Alexa.
We live in the home above and work from home on occasion. We are generally early risers and have 2 dogs. We do our best to be quiet in the early hours. The house is over 100 years old and has original wood flooring so it does tend to squeak when we're walking around. Rugs with thick padding helps reduce this noise. The dogs do occasionally bark at passers by and squirrels.
The basement apartment is completely separate with a private entrance in the back yard. We fenced off the area so that the dogs cannot enter the area, and you can sit outside you'd like.
This space is ideal for traveling health care workers. There are 3 major hospitals within 3 miles. Please send me a message for inquiries regarding longer term stays.

This space is completely private and detached. Entry is access through a smart lock deadbolt that guests will have a code to once they book.

We (your hosts) live in the main house. While this is a detached unit, it is above our garage, so you may hear us coming and going. We’ve provided both noise canceling ear plugs as well as a noise machine in your bedroom to help. Of course, if it’s ever too loud - just send us a quick text and we’ll do what we can to make you more comfortable.

It’s so important to us that you have a perfect stay, so do not hesitate to reach out with any concerns or if you need recommendations on what to do (seriously, we can go on forever about how much we adore this city!) We love meeting travelers from all over the world, so if you see us in the yard - feel free to say hello!

☆ There’s plenty of free parking in the area, but no dedicated parking space for this stay.
☆ Please, no smoking (not 420 friendly, sorry!)
☆ The second bed is in a lofted area accessible by a ladder. Be ready to climb!

The space
The home is ideally situated just steps from both Congress Park and Cheesman Park, offering guests easy access to two of Denver’s most beloved green spaces. The main floor features an open-concept living and dining area with gleaming hardwood floors and a cozy fireplace—perfect for relaxing after a day of exploration. The fully equipped kitchen boasts stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, and ample storage space, making it ideal for preparing meals together.​ Bedroom features a king bed and blackout shades and can be locked (key can be requested).

Step outside to your backyard oasis, complete with a deck and fenced yard—perfect for morning coffee or evening cocktails. The home also includes a detached garage and multiple street parking spots, ensuring convenience during your stay.

Nestled in the walkable Congress Park neighborhood, you'll find a plethora of local cafes, restaurants, and boutiques just a short stroll away. Enjoy easy access to downtown Denver, Cherry Creek, and the Denver Botanic Gardens, all within minutes. Whether you're here for a weekend getaway or an extended stay, this home offers the perfect base for your Denver adventures.​

Guest access
You have your own private entrance through the front with a self-check-in experience (Keyless entry code)! Your space is the entire main floor of the house.

I am happy to give as much support or as much extra service as the guest wants. I live on the premises in a separate part of the house and use the back entrance. You may occasionally see me walking out through the backyard. The backyard entrance is on another level down the stairs but part of the overall space, and you may see me entering or exiting occasionally.
There are no pets nor other people on the premises.

Neighbors are great and very quiet.

I provide Shampoo/ Conditioner/ Body wash / Hair Dryer with no extra charge.

No Cleaning Fee.

Keurig and Drip Coffee machines are available along with a coffee grinder!

Free Garage access upon request. Lots of free street parking available.

All are welcome to enjoy a spacious mid-century cottage in Congress Park. Make yourself at home with our full kitchen, private bedroom, sunny reading room, and light filled living/dining room with gas fire place. This older carriage house shares a private yard with an 1890s Victorian home built by Denver's Meininger family.

The space
This is an older home with little quirks. It is comfortable and quaint. Sleeps two comfortably in a queen-size bed, and sleeps a third on a fold out couch.

We are conveniently located 2 blocks from Denver's Botanic Gardens, a short walk to Colfax Ave's shops, restaurants, music venues, and a ten minute drive to Downtown Denver. We are also conveniently close to the Denver Zoo, Museum of Nature and Science, and Cherry Creek Shopping Center, and just a few blocks from City Park, Cheeseman Park, and Congress Park. There is quick and easy access to the Colfax bus line and the Denver Botanic Gardens B-Cycle. There is also a laundromat 2 blocks away.

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire carriage house and shared yard. There is also a side patio.

Other things to note
The carriage house is the unit behind an old Victorian rental house. There are other renters on the property, so it’s a shared front and back yard. You will have the back house to yourself and a side patio if you want privacy.
