This place is made to give you a luxurious long stay while making you feel right at home. This studio has an open floor plan and was just remodeled in 2024. The filly stocked kitchen opens up to the living room and comes equipped with a breakfast bar. And don’t forget about the high-speed internet, smart TV, mini split with A/C , dedicated work space, washer and dryer on site, black-out shades, premium linens , and premium towels provided. 2. Check in time is 4 pm. Check-out time is anytime before 11 am. You are welcome to request an early check in or late checkout. We are unable to confirm availability until 24 hours prior to arrival or departure.

3. Parties, events, or excessive noise are not allowed. Please be respectful of the neighbors. Quiet hours are from 9PM-9AM. Violations may result in removal from the property.

4. No smoking of any kind anywhere on the premises including the use of e-cigarettes and marijuana. Those found in violation will incur an additional cleaning fee of at least $250.00 per incident and may result in removal from the property.

5. Guests are fully responsible for accidents, injuries, or illnesses that occur while on the premises. Acceptance of this reservation means that it is agreed that all guests are assuming any and all risk of any harm that may come from their use of the premise.

6. Firearm is prohibited at all times from property grounds

7. Only guests that are part of the reservation are allowed to occupy the premises. Any additional guests or visitors must be approved by the host.

For the past two decades my career as a travel journalist has taken me around the globe. I’ve stayed at thousands of accommodations, where I learned personal touches create a comfortable home away from home. Certain places I visited offered extra special amenities. Green tea at a Japanese Ryokan; chardonnay infused bath salts at a Mexican posada; pink sugar at California’s Madonna Inn; and more. I’ve collected many goodies on my travels for you to enjoy at this vacation rental.

The house was built in 1946. My family lived in it for 25 years. We added modern day amenities and appliances, but kept the historic integrity of the sweet bungalow. The property has a 1/3-acre park-like, fenced backyard surrounded by citrus, fig, and persimmon trees, whose fruit you’re welcome to enjoy. Adirondack chairs sit nearby for you to relax, sip coffee and watch your children or dog run around the lawn.

A secluded patio extends outside the dining room French doors. Vine covered walls, blooming flower beds, and a Mexican terra-cotta chiminea are the perfect setting for grilling and dinner at the outdoor table.

The kitchen is equipped for all your cooking needs. There are five TVs, including one in the bathroom. Central air conditioning and heat throughout the house. Linens and towels provided. Washer, dryer, and dishwasher, also.

The location is easily accessible to San Diego highlights — the San Diego Zoo, Gaslamp Quarter, Coronado, beaches, Balboa Park museums, Petco Park, Seaworld, and the airport. Yet, it’s away from the hustle and bustle of the city in a quiet, residential neighborhood. Plus, the added benefit of being close to hiking and mountain biking trails.

Our house is a five minute drive to popular La Mesa Village with it’s trendy restaurants and boutique shops. Grocery stores and Starbucks are within walking distance. And, San Diego State University is two miles away, with concert venues and sports stadium.

The Kitchenette:
Our kitchenette is a perfect fit for a couple or a small family with modern appliances such as refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and blender. Our kitchenette doesn`t offer a stove unfortunately. And the essential kitchenware includes plates, bowls, cups and mugs, pots and cooking utensils. FREE coffee and tea, sugar, creamer, and much more. We also provide a high chair.

The Bathroom:
Our newly renovated bathroom is stocked with all the essentials, a hair dryer, and toiletries.

Laundry:
Your laundry includes both washer and dryer. Iron and ironing board are also available inside the house. And we always provide FREE laundry detergent.

Parking:
We offer FREE parking right next to your entrance and there is lots of FREE additional street parking in our neighborhood as well.

Our beautiful home is hidden in a peaceful suburban neighborhood of San Diego, only a 10-15 minutes drive or Uber ride to the San Diego Zoo, Downtown and Gaslamp District. It is 15-20 minutes to Petco Park, the Convention Center, Little Italy, Seaport Village, Coronado, and SeaWorld; and about 20-25 minutes to all San Diego beaches and the La Jolla cliffs.
Please review our House Rules before booking. We hope that these guidelines are reasonable and fair, as they help us protect our property, respect our neighbors, and ensure a comfortable stay for future guests who may arrive shortly after you. Check-In and Check-Out

Check-in is any time after 4:00 PM.
Check-out is by 11:00 AM.
Early check-in or late check-out may be requested through your personal online Ethos Home Portal, available immediately after your reservation is confirmed. We will do our best to accommodate such requests; however, occasionally we may only be able to confirm same-day or 24 hours in advance based on turnover schedules.

We keep check-out tasks to a minimum. We only ask that you wash your dishes and remove your trash from inside the home. These two small steps help us pay our cleaning teams a fair wage while keeping our overall cleaning fees reasonable. If you leave something behind, we are happy to mail lost and found items back to you for a $35 Handling Fee plus the cost of shipping.

Overstaying beyond the designated check-out time may result in additional charges of up to 150% of the effective daily rate of your stay for each day (full or partial) that you overstay, as well as any other related damages, fees, costs or expenses incurred by us, such as our loss of a subsequent guest reservation or booking alternative accommodations for them. We reserve the right to enter the accommodation, remove any belongings, change the locks or lock codes to the space and take further action as may be necessary or appropriate.

Prohibited Conduct and Excessive Cleaning

Illegal substances, drugs, and smoking of any kind are strictly prohibited anywhere on the premises, including but not limited to tobacco, marijuana, cigars, cigarettes, and pipes, as well as hookah, e-cigarettes, and vapes. Illegal drugs or smoking any substances may result in immediate cancellation of the reservation and a Smoke Cleaning Fee of up to $750 to deep clean and deodorize the home. Please note that recreational smoke detection sensors protect all our properties.

Unauthorized guests or occupants. Please observe the maximum occupancy allowed on your reservation at all times. If you would like more than 4 guests, including daytime visitors, to occupy the home at any time during the reservation, please confirm it with us before check-in. Unauthorized occupants will be charged $75 per person per night for the entire reservation period, and if we find it necessary, we may revoke or terminate the reservation if occupancy limits are violated.

Pets are not permitted anywhere on the premises, unless explicitly approved in writing before arrival. Evidence of a pet may result in a Pet Cleaning Fee of up to $200 to deep clean, deodorize, and disinfect the home. If you are assisted by a service animal, please contact us before booking. Service animals may not be left unattended at any time anywhere on the premises.

Children under 14 years old may not be left unattended in the home at any time for safety reasons.

Unsanitary conditions such as excessive trash, spills, or strong odors that may attract pests are not permitted. Guests are responsible for keeping the home tidy during their stay. Major spills or stains on rugs, sofas, beds, or linens may result in an Excessive Cleaning Fee of up to $150. Permanently stained sheets or towels that can’t be restored will be charged at $18 each. Cleaning involving bodily fluids such as urine, blood, or vomit may result in a Biohazard Cleaning Fee of up to $250.

Modifying or altering the home and its contents is not permitted. Furniture, appliances, wall décor, and fixtures must not be moved or adjusted. Event decorations such as birthday signs, balloons, glitter and confetti removal may result in an Excessive Cleaning Fee of up to $150.

Tampering with security cameras is prohibited. Ethos properties and guests are protected with outdoor-only security cameras at entry doors. Unplugging, covering, disabling, or obstructing cameras may result in liability for damages, equipment replacement, and licensed reinstallation fees.

Firearms, weapons–real or replica, hazardous items, and open flames are prohibited, including candles, charcoal grills, fireworks, and any equipment that may increase risk of fire.

Commercial photography, videography, or film production is only permitted with explicit written approval from Ethos Vacation Homes.

There is an Einstein Bagel, community grocery store and a gas station nearby. The home is up on a hill and has a beautiful view of the canyon below and a beautiful sunset view. There are many amenities that we did not get to enjoy due to our schedule. There is a fire pit and outdoor grill. The house has everything you need and more. It is very spacious yet inviting. It is beautifully decorated. It’s the perfect place to stay if you want a home in the SDSU area. We will definitely book again in the future!"

Enjoy a smooth arrival with our easy self check-in process. Simply use the keypad on the front gate and front door, and we’ll provide you with the access code on the day of your arrival.

All guest will enter through your private entrance located to the left side of the white garage door. You will be given a 4 digit code once booked ( enter the 4 digit code and press the unlock key symbol ). Once you enter, you will see the ADU to the left. There are two Suits ( The Letter A & B, is located next to the door below the light. Enter the same code to gain entry to your assigned suit.

Parties, events, or excessive noise are not allowed. Please be respectful of our neighbors and observe quiet hours from 11PM-8AM. Violations after our initial warning may result in your removal from the property.

We are located in a residential community and, although this is a vacation destination, it's home to many people. As such we ask that you respect their privacy and peaceful environment.

We do not allow smoking of any kind anywhere on the premises; including the use of e-cigarettes and marijuana. Those found in violation will incur a $350 cleaning fee.

We understand accidents happen, so if there is any accidental or intentional damage caused to the home, please let us know prior to your departure.

This property has video surveillance in outdoor public spaces only to ensure the safety and security of all guests. There are no cameras inside the home. Noise meters may also be present in and around the property to ensure quiet hours are followed.

We will only receive a notification of a noise event if the noise decibel threshold is exceeded. Please try to keep the fun at a respectful decibel level at all times, but at night we ask for no loud noises after 10 pm — if this sounds like something that will not work for your group, our property might not be the right fit for you.

Occupancy is limited to the number of guests you indicate on your reservation. Any additional guests or visitors must be approved by your host.

Guests take full responsibility for any accidents, injuries, or illnesses that occur while on the premises, by accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests assume the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises.

We could get everywhere we needed to be within 20 (if we checked the traffic ...it IS San Diego after all) had our pick of good restaurants close by but on off nights/mornings we could cook at "home base" and chill or sleep in and have coffee and toast on the porch. An immaculate remodeled home at the end of a quiet cul de sac in Rolando. With a Modern interior and exterior, no expense has been spared. Upon opening the front door you'll be welcomed by a bright open floor plan. Flowing from living to dining and into the kitchen, equipped with a gas stove and new stainless steel appliances. There are two bedrooms and a full office. The uniquely funky bathroom really pops with character. If you enjoy a large multi level outdoor space, you've hit the jackpot!

The first thing you'll notice when you pull up to the house is how incredibly peaceful the surroundings are. The living room has two couches, the kitchen is stocked with everything you'll need, and it even hasa formal dining room with seating for 4. The third bedroom has been converted into an office which already have a nice chair, desk, and a monitor to plug into. The bedrooms each have queen beds in them. The smart TV in the master bedroom gets all of the major streaming services.

The backyard is spacious and multi leveled. It even has a fenced off area to grow herbs, fruits, and vegetables.

You will have private access to the entire unit.

We will have team members performing scheduled weekly maintenance of the property which may include landscaping, trash, general repairs/upkeep.

The casita is centrally located easy access to I-8 and CA-94 freeway. We are 14 miles from Coronado Beach and 9 miles from Downtown. Enjoy the casual San Diego design with the feel of boutique hotel living.

We have designed this newly constructed home to meet all the expectations of our travelers. Casita is around 400 sqft and will fit 3 guests comfortably, bedroom has a queen-size bed while the sofa folds out to a full-size bed. The casita shares one common wall with the main home has a private entry and an abundance of street parking.

Entertainment: Roku TV with Netflix, Hulu, and other subscriptions. Wi-Fi, and a variety of board games to enjoy.

Amenities: 2 complimentary waters upon arrival. Fully stocked kitchen with all the cooking supplies you need to make a great meal. - "My husband and I were finishing up a remodel on our home nearby but since it wasn't completed on time we were moving around to different vacation rentals. Luckily we found this place and it had pretty much everything we needed. It was a quiet neighborhood and close to the freeway and stores. Looked brand new. Parking was not a hassle. My only suggestion would be to have a few more kitchen tools like can opener, vegetable peeler, etc. Knives were great though! Over all a very nice experience. "

The space
The house has a quaint and comfy beach cottage feel. It has 2 Master Suites, a Kids room with a Full size bunk and a twin trundle. It has a DETACHED bonus room that has 2 couches that fold out to twin beds. We have also provided 2 twin foam movable beds, in case children want to sleep closer to Mom and Dad. There is a Jacuzzi bath tub in the main bathroom. It has a quadruple Reverse Osmosis drinking water system installed in the kitchen, and a 4 Car driveway. Brand new comfortable beds with Down Pillows and Faux Down Pillows. USB permanent outlets are installed in the kitchen. The house will have Corn hole, glow in the dark lawn darts, 4 in a row, Ping Pong, and other grass games. The back yard is strung with lights to create an illuminated evening ambiance with a 6 person table set and a patio furniture set. MISSION: Whether you’re traveling solo, with your partner, or with kids in tow, we strive to make your vacation tranquil, easy and joyful! As frequent Airbnb guests ourselves, we understand the value of having a home away from home. We’ve stocked your house with everything: from the gear you need to relax at the beach to all of the tools you need to prepare meals, including Ziploc bags, sharp kitchen knives, and bakeware, etc. And for the kids we provide books, toys, fun play areas and baby gear to make traveling a little more enjoyable.

OUTDOOR SPACE: You have the large part of the lower level of our property to yourself. The upper back half of our property is where our guesthouse is located, which is also available for booking. Your own rad office pod is located on the covered patio, for adult use. For the kids, we have a playhouse and a flat grassy area.

Dine al fresco at the table for four or enjoy a glass of wine on the sofa under the covered patio, while the little ones are busy preparing wooden food in the playhouse.

LAUNDRY: Feel free to pack light and make use of a full-size LG washer & dryer with laundry detergent provided.

KITCHEN: Dine in, if you’d like! We’ve got everything:

DINING AREA: The open concept kitchen has dining options at either end. The primary rectangular dining table is set up for 6 people, but can be extended to accommodate 8. There is also a round dining/games table at the opposite end (with lots of games provided), and a two-person pub table and chairs.

LIVING ROOM: A 120" motorized projector screen with Bose soundbar is at your avail for family movie nights. With the Apple TV, you can log in to your Netflix, Prime, iMovies, Hulu, Disney+ or YouTube accounts. You can also connect to the Bose soundbar to your Spotify account for music via Bluetooth. There is a baby grand piano (please treat it kindly) and an aerial hoop for doing cool tricks on, for use at your own risk. If you'd prefer that this be removed for your stay, just message me before check-in. The Dutch bean bags can be placed underneath for the little ones' safety, and they're also super comfortable for watching movies, when stood up vertically.

BEDROOM 1: The queen-size bed has a 14"-thick mattress and mattress cover, a cotton mattress pad, and comfy sheets. You'll have a fluffy comforter and pillows with zippered, protective pillow covers and pillow cases. Bedroom 1 is large enough to accommodate our Pack-n-Play for infants or a cot for toddlers to sleep in.

BATHROOM 1: This ensuite bathroom is attached to Bedroom 1 and has a large soaking tub and separate shower. Bathe the kids - - we’ve got bath toys! Or even better, treat yourself with some aromatherapy bath salts after your day at the beach or exploring the zoo. We provide shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hair dryer to lighten your suitcases.

BEDROOM 2: A double bed with wall-mounted heaboard and nightstands and integrated drawers faces a 55" smart TV with views to the front courtyard.

BEDROOM 3: A double-over-double bunkbed with an additional twin trundle bed is for the kids. From toddlers to tweens and teens, the space is fresh and fun with curtains to enclose the bottom bunk for a fort-like feel. There is a 55" smart TV and an Xbox One S, upon request, for your kids to log into their account. The TV has Disney+ and access to log in to your Netflix, Prime, Hulu, etc. We've got toys and books, as well.

BATHROOM 2: This chic, serene bathroom has a shower and shampoo, conditioner, body wash and a hair dryer, and is accessed from the main hallway.

BEDROOM 4: Rifle Paper Co.’s Alice in Wonderland artwork is the inspiration for this kids’ bedroom. This room provides a twin bed and a cute matching toddler-size bed. Your little ones will enjoy reading books or having a “tea” in the two kid-sized arm chairs and putting on their very own puppet show in this space.

BEACH GEAR: Explore our world-class San Diego beaches like a local with a couple beach chairs that have integrated coolers, a couple boogie boards, some beach towels, some sand toys, and a beach umbrella. If you stay with us, you won’t have to rent them when you arrive at the beach.

OFFICE POD: Work or vlog from home! This space has been insulated and has soundproofing foam on the walls, a chic background for meetings, and an air conditioning unit. Available by request and for adult use only.

Both the main house and the guesthouse are separate from each other and on two different levels of our property. The driveway and front courtyard (to walk to your respective front doors) are the only shared spaces. The pathway that goes up the right side of the house is for guesthouse guests’ use so they can access their stairs and guesthouse. See aerial view for property layout. Other things to note
We love our sleepy, quiet neighborhood and so do our neighbors. Please no music outside as the sound travels like crazy (and you won’t be able to hear the birds chirp).

Welcome to our modern home in the Del Cerro neighborhood, conveniently located ~15 minutes from the city's main attractions.

This 5 bed/2.5 bath home is newly built and offers plenty of space for you to rest and relax during your stay in our beautiful city. We can comfortably sleep 10 adults and have a crib and pack n' plays for small children. With great views of the sunrise and sunset from the front and back of the property, you can soak in all of the beauty San Diego has to offer from here!

The space
Our home features an open floor plan on the ground floor with cool, concrete flooring to add that modern touch. The large kitchen features quartz countertops and high-end appliances with everything a chef would need. There are three separate dining areas to accommodate your group: a 12-seat dining table, a kitchen island with 6 barstools, and a breakfast nook that seats 6.

The living room features plenty of seating around the 80” tv for your entertainment pleasure. There are also board games available for adults and children to have a fun game night.

The kitchen opens up onto the covered back patio where there is plenty of comfortable seating to relax in under the shade. A newly renovated back yard now includes a BBQ area, turf, a deck with an 8 foot round stock tank plunge pool that can be heated into a hot tub, and fire pit with seating. Plenty of space to relax, play games, or just sit back and enjoy the view!

Four bedrooms are located upstairs along with a laundry room and two full bathrooms. One bedroom currently contains a crib along with two twin beds. The fifth bedroom is located downstairs and has a twin bed with a twin trundle.

For any guests traveling with small children, we have plenty of baby gear, toys, and books available for you to use during your stay (e.g. baby bath, stroller, backpack carrier for hikes, etc) so you can travel a bit lighter! Please ask ahead of time and if we have it, we’ll make sure to leave it for you.

Please note that we take our guest safety very seriously and thoroughly clean and disinfect surfaces prior to each guest stay.
