The property looked really great in the photos. It was absolutely non functional. It was all esthetics and nothing you can really use. 1. There are 2 bedrooms on the first floor. The one which has slight darkening paper "curtains,", has a bed which you can use. This was given to my baby since she sleeps in a darkened room. The other bedroom has an absolutely unusable bed. It creaks every time you even breathe. We even tried switching mattress but the base was ridiculous. We didn't have the time and energy to switch the base. This left us sleeping on the couch. 2. The bar stools on the counter are non-functional. You might be able to sit on them for 2 minutes before you start sliding down. So I didn't really have any place to work except for the small dining table. 3. BASEMENT: This was in caps because this was the worst part of it all. The stench. As soon as you enter the basement, there is a stench where you are technically supposed to be sleeping in. The laundry was unusable because of the severe sewer smell. All in all this property, is a renovated cheaply property. You would feel it would fall off even if you breathed too hard. I would pay couple extra hundreds for a better "sturdy" property. "

- "Very close to convention center" - "We were remodeling our home and had to move out for 2 week while our floor were being done and with 2 cats and 2 dogs we were limited on a short term rental. We were excited to find this place so close to the airport since I work there. On the day we checked in we were give the wrong code for the lock box and were unable to stay that 1st night because we were unable to get a hold of anyone. The next day we were given another code and we were able to enter the property. We were never refunded for the 1st night. We asked 5 times and were called liars incredibly rude and unprofessional. The whole building reeks of cigarette smoke, the apartment smelled it was sickening. The tenant up stair would stomp around upstairs for HOURS on end. You could not connect to Netflix or any other streaming service on the TV and there was never enough hot water to take a shower. I presumed it was on some kind of timer. If it were not for our predicament I would NEVER continued to stay there. Luxury apartment, not even close! "

The Space:

You’ll have access to the entire 1st floor duplex apartment which includes the first floor and the garden level. This is a private apartment in a two unit home, with shared common spaces (back yard & laundry room).

To ensure everyone who stays feel like they are at home and can settle right in, the following amenities are provided to all guests!

Very simply, please respect my home and my neighbors. Please read these rules carefully and take them seriously, failure to comply will result in forfeiture of your deposit and/or termination of your reservation without a refund.

1.) No parties or additional overnight guests without prior approval. Noise disturbances reported by neighbors or police are unacceptable.

2.) Additional visitors are not permitted at the property. Only registered guests may access the property for the entire duration of your stay. There will be a $50.00 charge per guest, per day for each additional unauthorized guest and/or additional guest will removed from the property for trespassing.

3.) No eating or drinking in the bedrooms.

4.) No outside shoes on any carpeted area, specifically the lower level.

5.) Absolutely no smoking (of anything) inside the unit. Please feel free to smoke in backyard and on porch. If there is evidence of smoking, including odor, there will be a $1,000 smoke remediation charge. “Smoking” means inhaling, exhaling, breathing, carrying, or possessing any lighted or electronic cigar, cigarette, pipe, vaporizer, joint, or other tobacco or marijuana product in any manner or in any form. No marijuana, medical or otherwise, may be used, grown, stored or consumed inside the home.

6.) Please be respectful of my neighbors and be mindful of noise and loud music. Please observe quiet hours from 10:00 PM-8:00 AM daily.

7.) Pets are not allowed at the property unless previously approved and pet fee paid. You will be charged $500 if you bring an unauthorized animal.

8.) Lockouts will result in a $50 fee per occurrence. Additionally, lost keys will incur a $50 per key fee.

9.) Please ensure you have left the premises and returned any keys issued to the designated location by the agreed upon check-out time. Any check out (2) hours beyond the agreed upon check out time will result in a charge for an additional day. This does not award you possession for an additional day. This is a penalty.

10.) I acknowledge that as the primary guest on the reservation that I am staying at the property for the entire duration of the stay and responsible for the actions of all guests. If you are NOT staying at the property and booking on behalf of others, please contact us as limited exceptions are permitted to this rule.

11.) Local guests are permitted to book on an exception basis only. Please contact host. Local groups looking to use the property for a party, gathering or other group event are expressly prohibited and your reservation may be canceled.

12.) Lost and Found: We are not responsible for any personal items left behind. If you let us know what personal items you are missing we will make an attempt to locate those in our lost and found and have them shipped to you at your own expense. Please be sure to check the home (including all drawers and closets) before you depart to ensure you have all of your personal belongings.

13) Any complaints received by host or through VRBO will be addressed immediately. By placing the complaint, guest are authorizing host to enter the apartment home to remedy the situation.

The house was well kept, generally clean, welcoming/warm and homely. I liked the fact that there were amenities available that catered to our every need. The beds were exceptionally COMFORTABLE. The host had everything ready for us-some water, snacks, beds made, towels.This was helpful. The location was good because it is not far from O'hare airport and stores. It was mostly clean but we found some dirty spots in the rooms and bathrooms and also some of the utensils were dirty so we had to clean and rewash. The basement has a room but there is only 1 window but not much ventilation.Not sure how ventilation can be improved there.It gets quite stuffy. We were 11 people so we ran out of supplies quickly like paper towels and garbage bags which we had to buy because the host only gives a certain amount.Maybe this can be looked into based on the number of people and the number of days they will stay. I am not sure if it is because of the timezone but my check in information was not on the website when I needed it and I had to call the host and was helped immediately. THANK YOU SARAH for opening up this beautiful space to my family and I.It was such a wonderful stay."

- "We stayed at this property in Morton Grove for almost two months while we were house hunting in Chicago. We really enjoyed our stay! It was the perfect space for my husband and I and our two pets.Pros: Huge fenced yard, which is great for pets to run around. The location is great with easy access to highways, as well as a grocery store (Amazon Fresh) and multiple food options near by. King sized bed in the primary bedroom is very comfortable. Ample closet space in the primary bedroom. Very large kitchen stocked with necessary items, like a coffee maker, dishes, utensils, etc. Property manager was very easy to reach through the app. The neighbors on both sides of the home are very nice.Cons: Main bathroom is on the smaller side and is the only bathroom for the upstairs and main floor. The other bathroom is located in the basement. Property required some cleaning at start of stay - seems cleaning crew did not clean thoroughly, as we discovered things like food (half drank juices and donut holes) behind couch and TV and a lot of dust throughout home.Overall, I would definitely recommend this property for long term rental and would be happy to stay here again if needed!
