Spacious and charming apartment, overlooking a beautiful garden, tucked away behind craftsman-style house in the heart of historic North Park. Apartment is 600 sqft and has beautiful hardwood floors. It has large windows which provide lots of natural light and allow an air-flow and breeze. The unit also has a portable air conditioner for extra comfort during the warm summer months.
The bedroom has a comfortable queen-size bed and is facing east allowing you to watch the sunrise over the mountains in the morning. The living room is spacious and has a smart TV (access to local channels and Netflix). The kitchen is fully equipped. On the porch/entrance of the apartment is a small sitting area with a view of the courtyard garden and beautiful San Diego sunsets; a great spot to recharge after a day of walking, shopping, golfing, and spending time exploring one of the beautiful beaches or San Diego's many other attractions.

In the historical neighborhood of North Park, our 1920s Casita is close to EVERYTHING. Just minutes to beaches, Balboa Park, Petco Park, SDSU Cox Arena, downtown and the Gaslamp District, Coronado, Mission Beach, Ocean Beach, Pacific Beach, La Jolla, the Convention Center and Comic-Con. A wide array of unique restaurants, breweries and shops are just a few short blocks away. Perfect for an evening stroll.

We have a fully-stocked and updated kitchen, washer and dryer, window air conditioners in the bedroom and living room and a mini-split system in the kitchen (central air is not possible in our 100-year old home), free WiFi, two TVS with DirecTV, NFL network AND the NFL Sunday Ticket on YouTubeTV, including a TV on our outdoor patio.

Enjoy a glass of wine under the stars while you BBQ on our propane grill and watch your favorite show. An electric fireplace in the living room adds that special ambience on cold, winter nights. (As in mid-50s, usually. It is San Diego, after all.)

We welcome housebroken and friendly dogs. And little kids, too. Although we have a limit of two each. There is no separate bed for the kids, but the couch is large and offers plenty of space for two mid-to-small sized kids. *Linens provided for couch sleepers.*

Pets: We do not charge a pet fee — but pets must be disclosed when booking. Undisclosed pets will incur a $100 fee. To keep our pet-friendly policy free for all guests, we ask that you:

Clean up after your pet inside and outside.
Use provided blankets on furniture if pets are allowed up.
Contact us for instructions if an accident occurs on carpets or upholstery.

Security: For your safety, there are four exterior cameras mounted on the roof to monitor property access: two at the front (entry, driveway, sidewalk), one on the south side yard (facing the gate), and one on the north side yard (non-accessible space). Green tea at a Japanese Ryokan; chardonnay infused bath salts at a Mexican posada; pink sugar at California’s Madonna Inn; and more. The house was built in 1946. My family lived in it for 25 years. We added modern day amenities and appliances, but kept the historic integrity of the sweet bungalow. The property has a 1/3-acre park-like, fenced backyard surrounded by citrus, fig, and persimmon trees, whose fruit you’re welcome to enjoy. Adirondack chairs sit nearby for you to relax, sip coffee and watch your children or dog run around the lawn.

A secluded patio extends outside the dining room French doors. Vine covered walls, blooming flower beds, and a Mexican terra-cotta chiminea are the perfect setting for grilling and dinner at the outdoor table.

The kitchen is equipped for all your cooking needs. There are five TVs, including one in the bathroom. Central air conditioning and heat throughout the house. Linens and towels provided. Washer, dryer, and dishwasher, also.

The location is easily accessible to San Diego highlights — the San Diego Zoo, Gaslamp Quarter, Coronado, beaches, Balboa Park museums, Petco Park, Seaworld, and the airport. Yet, it’s away from the hustle and bustle of the city in a quiet, residential neighborhood. Plus, the added benefit of being close to hiking and mountain biking trails.

Our house is a five minute drive to popular La Mesa Village with it’s trendy restaurants and boutique shops. Grocery stores and Starbucks are within walking distance. And, San Diego State University is two miles away, with concert venues and sports stadium.

The space is inspired by our local spa Zen Sanctuary, we wanted to create an space for you to relax, clear your mind and rejuvenate your body so you can make the most out of your experience here in San Diego. We offer high quality mattresses, linens, and towels as well as complimentary coffee and Tea. There are two bedrooms both with natural lighting and closet space. The larger room features a queen size bed. The second room has two full size beds. There is one full bathroom with a walk in shower. The cozy living room is comfortable and clean and our furniture blends our minimalistic and asian inspired style. There are two portable AC units in the house, one is installed in the living room and the second is in the master bedroom. This home is kid friendly and toys and a pack and play are available with advanced request.
The small kitchen is equipped with a full fridge, stove, microwave, and sink (no dishwasher), as well as utensils, pots pans, plate ware and oil salt and pepper for cooking. There is a two person dinette in the kitchen and a full dining table for enjoying a proper meal. The yard is an assortment of plants, dirt and grass and feels great on bare feet. Enjoy your coffee or breakfast on our outdoor patio set in the private, perfectly partially sunny/partially shaded yard.

North Park is a vibrant and eclectic neighborhood in central San Diego, bordered by Hillcrest, University Heights, Normal Heights, and Balboa Park. Once a residential suburb, it has evolved into a trendy and artistic community, known for its historic homes, diverse culture, and lively arts scene.

Getting Around:
The home has a private 2-3 car driveway as well as an abundant amount of street parking. Walking and/or biking is the best way to get around central North Park & South Park, as well as other neighborhoods like Normal Heights, University Heights, South Park, and Golden Hill. Ubers and Lyfts are readily available for pick-ups and its quick 10-minute drive to the Airport making traveling a breeze.

Other Things to Note:
- San Diego's mild climate means A/C is rarely needed except for a few weeks at the end of summer. We’ve installed portable A/C units in each bedroom, while the central unit is for heating only.

- The home features a full bathroom and a half bathroom indoors, plus a relaxing zen outdoor shower (no sink) in the backyard.

Pet Policy:
- Approval Required: All pets must be approved by the host. Add them to your reservation and include their weight and breed in a message.
- Allowed: 1 hypoallergenic or low-shedding dog up to 30 pounds per reservation.
- Fee: $150; guests staying over two weeks must schedule a mid-stay cleaning.
- Unapproved Pets: $500 fee or more for unapproved pets. Additional fees may apply for damages caused by pets.
- Pets must have their own bed, cannot be on furniture or beds, and must be walked for bathroom needs. Guests are responsible for cleaning up after pets.

- We’ve created a beautiful, welcoming space for friends and family to relax and enjoy time together. To respect our home and our neighborhood, only guests on the booked reservation are permitted on the property, and no additional visitors are allowed without prior approval. We kindly remind guests that our home is not a party house.

- Guests must observe quiet hours from 9 PM to 8 AM. Please keep noise to a minimum and move conversations indoors after 9 PM to respect neighbors. If you plan to make excessive noise, this property may not be suitable for you.

- To maintain a peaceful and enjoyable environment for everyone, we ask that guests refrain from playing loud outdoor music or using portable speakers. This freshly updated 1920's Craftsman home is right in the heart of San Diego. Situated in the east side of North Park, right by the bustling (and rapidly growing!) University Avenue. Literally minutes away from some of the best tourist attractions, restaurants, bars, breweries, music venue, etc. that San Diego has to offer. We integrated a seamless check-in/check-out process and minimal interaction for your privacy and convenience.

The space:
Upon booking, you will receive a code to unlock the front door. Once inside, you will find a gate FOB on the kitchen counter that would allow you to access the parking at the back of the property. Access to parking is through the alley. One vehicle would fit in our designated parking. On cold nights, get cozy in front of our gas fireplace, an additional space heater is also provided and could be found in the Master's Bedroom. San Diego is known for its perfect weather year round. For that reason, we only have air conditioning in the Master's Bedroom, but there are ceiling fans through out the house. Our TV's are equipped with streaming services such as Hulu and Netflix. High speed WiFi is also available within the property. An iron, ironing board, and hair dryer are also provided for your convenience which are all located in the Master's Bedroom.

While we love all animals, we do not allow cats at this rental to keep it friendly for guests with cat allergies. Unfortunately, they are not allowed unless they are a service or therapy pet. An EV charging outlet (240V, adapter is not provided) is on the shed by the parking space and is available to use for a one-time fee of $20 for the duration of your stay.

One bedroom with shared bathroom in a cozy, quite house with an enchanted backyard and a canyon view. Close to SDSU and 20 min away from other important destinations in San Diego. Female guests preferred.

The house has been renovated and has a brand new kitchen and bathroom. The bedroom comes with a comfortable queen size Murphy bed, closet, dresser, desk and chair . You can also use my beautiful terrace that has nice outdoor furniture including outlets for your computer. No smoking inside.

Cozy and private 2 beds/1 bath peaceful non-smoking house with a beautiful backyard and terrace.

You will be sharing the house with myself, a professional woman in her 40’s. I speak Russian, Ukrainian, and German. I would prefer a female guest, no pets, no smoking inside the house. I work partially from home and I tend to go out of the house very often. I am very active, clean, responsible, respectful, and organized.

The house has a brand, and well equipped new kitchen with stainless steel appliances (including dishwasher) , a brand new bathroom, well maintained hardwood floors, internet throughout the house, the terrace and backyard, central heat and central A/C.
The bedroom comes with a comfortable Queen size Murphy bed. In addition, it has a closet, a solid desk and a chair. The advantage of the Murphy bed is that you can easily pull it up to have more space (yoga, stretching, etc). There are 2 windows facing west that provide the room with a lot of lighting.

You will share the bathroom with myself. The shared bathroom has a modern bathtub/shower combo.

One of the many perks of my house is that I have a big terrace with outlets, outdoor furniture, and an amazing view of the canyon. You are welcome to use this extra space.

You are welcome to use the washing machine if you stay for a long period of time.

Therefore I expect the same from my guest. I go to bed around 11 pm, and wake up around 8 am. Occasionally my boyfriend stays over.

The house is located 2 miles to San Diego State University, and less than 15 miles to every important place in San Diego ( 12 miles Mission Valley Mall, 16 miles to La Jolla Shore, and 11 miles to Downtown). Also there is a convinient public transportation towards downtown. The bus station is 10 minutes walking distance from my house.

The studio is spacious, we just remodeled it completely and bought brand new furniture. It's more like a very nice hotel suite. It sits above our garage. Allowing great privacy.
**Street Parking only** There is always street parking available, the street can be busy every once in awhile, but you will find parking ,Follow parking rules: cramp your wheels to the curb if you're on downhill and fold your mirrors inward.
The space is perfect for couples who would love to see San Diego. Or a student at SDSU, traveling Nurse or Navy personnel looking for place to stay for couple of months . .The queen bed is comfortable and the couch turns into a futon as well for extra person. There is a small kitchen and a bathroom. You will have your own private entrance. The laundry is shared with us in the garage so is main patio in the back and yard.
If you love coffee! You’re lucky. We especially bought a coffee roaster for the studio and the guests .it is located in the garage. We freshly roast coffee for guests who stay 4 weeks. For stays more than 4 weeks we provide the coffee for sale at a very deeply discounted price. Please ask if you need more. Additionally happy to provide a class in coffee roasting for guests who are interested. We have chickens in the backyard - fresh eggs are also available for purchase at discounted price( only when available egg production is sporadic).-kayak is available to borrow but have to have your own transportation-currently .

You will have access to shared laundry in the garage. from a separate entrance. but it will be shared with us . We don't mind if you have an extra guest , just keep in mind there is only ONE BED. there is a very small sleeper sofa/futon as well. Please ensure to provide the exact number of guests staying with you. Please follow the noise rules (No Noise after 9:30 PM). We want to continue to have Airbnber's in our neighborhood, so please be quiet. 2 guests are included , 3rd guest fees will apply unless it’s a child.

** No Pets** We love pets, we even have a lovely cat. however, we want our place to be clean for every guests. It is very difficult to clean up after pets as their fur/hair can be difficult to remove. Please adhere to the rule, no pets of any kinds.

***No Cable TV**
Please note there is no CABLE T.V. (there is a small TV with local Antenna Channels.)

**Strict NO Smoking Policy or Vaping, no drugs allowed**: Please Don't smoke on premises or inside and no vaping at all.
**Strict No Drugs**: Please don't bring drugs of any kind to premises. Even if it's Marijuana- we know it's legal in the State of California,however want to maintain a clean and healthy living quarters. if we find residues of any drugs, we will charge the full DEPOSIT and a cancellation of the booking.
**No Noise after 9:30 PM or any parties of any kind or any gatherings.
*** Street Parking: Park on the street only. follow rules of parking. The city of San Diego can be strict if you don't follow the rules you will get a ticket. Cramp your wheels to the curb if you park downhill. our streets is considered downhill so cramp the wheels onto the curb . Also always lock
your car don't leave valuables and fold your mirrors.
**** Street Parking at your own risk: our street is tight and , it is critical that you fold your car mirrors inward to prevent fast car from hitting your car. Multiple neighbors had their cars hit. We advise should you park on the street to be cognizant of the risk, you can alternatively park it down the street where it’s less riskier to be hit. We are not responsible for damage or any accidents on the property or city streets. We advise against parking in front of the house , but if you do you accept the risk . and you can fold your car mirror inward.

*Cleaning*
While we charge a very small cleaning fee , it only covers the cost of changing sheets, blankets,etc, and deep sanitizing. It is expected that the guests keep the place very clean and neat. Please clean the place prior to leaving as it will help us keep our costs down. We do appreciate guests who leave the place clean and treat it as their own. so Please be a good guest and clean up after yourself.

Long Term stay (1+ week)
we will provide clean sheets and basic needs for the first week only (7 days) after that you will have access to the shared laundry in the garage. so you may use the laundry in the garage to clean your bed sheets, and your expected to buy your own toiletries if you stay longer than a week as it becomes a lease. Which include toilet paper, shampoo, soap and detergent,paper towel, trash bags, any other toiletries you must provide on your own.

Laundry: please let us know when you want to do laundry, as it is located in the garage. access to laundry from back entrance to the patio. access to laundry only from 10 AM- 8 PM.

Patio, backyard, gazebo: Please be courteous to us and our neighbors, no loud noises you may use the backyard,patio and gazebo. 10 AM-8PM.

Safety : don’t leave valuables in the car ! Always lock your car always lock your studio we cannot be held responsible for damage or theft to anything stolen both in your or studio.

Freshly roasted Coffee: we bought a coffee roaster especially for our guests to provide freshest coffee possible for our guests -we roast coffee couple of times a week. Coffee is usually stocked in the studio for short term stays ( up to 4weeks). For long term stays , Coffee is available for sale at a deeply discounted rate. Please ask and we can provide coffee prices differ based on availability. I am happy to custom roast coffee for special orders . Additionally I am happy to give a class in coffee roasting free as part of the stay at the studio Please ask in advance.
