This 1 bedroom apartment is quite large, boasting 1000 square feet of living space. The upscale, 1/4 acre gated property has extensive landscaping with many retreat spaces to drink your coffee, take in the views and enjoy spectacular sunsets. Guest have access to the private, stainless steel hot tub spa that is located on the upper patio; with amazing views of the San Diego Harbor. Guests also enjoy the gas firepit area located on the lower level of the property; just steps from the apartment entrance. A Viking gas grill is available for grilling should guests wish to barbeque during their stay.

The living room / bedroom space has a queen size bed and an additional daybed that can be used as two twin beds or made into a king bed. Plenty of high quality pillows and linens are provided for your stay. The kitchen has all baking and cooking essentials; a Keurig coffee maker with coffee pods, traditional drip coffee maker, full size refrigerator / freezer, blender, kitchen aid mixer and all the essential kitchenware you could need: plates, bowls, glassware, utensils and so much more. - "My husband and I stayed for a whole month with our dog, cat and bunny. We had a great time and really enjoyed the house a lot. Joan is an absolute delight and anything that comes up she is quick to respond and help. The house is cute and well equipped. We really loved the yard too. There is some street noise but it’s located right in the heart of Old Town so that’s to be expected. Really enjoyed having our own washer & dryer and sharing the driveway was fine too but the smaller the car you have the better. But that goes for all of San Diego really as parking is tough in a lot of places. Lots of great spots to walk a dog but really enjoyed going up the hill to Presidio Park. If you have the time there’s lot of fun trails up in there. Fav Old Town restaurants are El Agave and El Sueño and if you like good tequila go to Barra Barra because they have the best prices for the good stuff. My husband enjoyed Garden Coffee across the street and also the pizza is really good at Pizza Bella. Oh and I toured the other cottage behind ours and it was really cute too but only one bedroom. Maybe a little more quiet but a much smaller outdoor space. If you’re lucky enough to find this place available you’ll be glad you booked here."

Our beautiful & spacious studio suite is attached to our home in the wonderful and quiet neighborhood of Bay Park in Tecolote Canyon. You will enjoy your own private entrance off of a small and private patio. The room is equipped with air conditioning. You will have your own kitchenette with a coffee maker, single burner stove-top, microwave, and full-sized convection toaster oven.
You will have direct access to the (shared with owner) laundry room. Note: Your kitchenette and laundry room is the dividing room that separates your suite from our home.
The bathroom was built to accommodate a wheelchair. Shampoo and conditioner are provided. There are two ceiling fans. A mini-split a/c and heater. Two operable skylights are located above the sofa and also in the laundry room.
We are a smoke-free and drug-free home.

About our community: Bay Park is a wonderful and quiet family neighborhood that is centrally located to everything (trails, beaches, restaurants, bars, downtown, Coronado, La Jolla, Sea World, San Diego Zoo, Legoland - the list goes on)! You can walk through the canyon to the Tecolote Nature Center and Tecolote Recreation Center.
More specifically, our studio suite is located in Tecolote Canyon where you can enjoy a hike/nature walk or even a mountain bike ride.

- "Excellent location, off street parking, quiet, newer appliances, and furniture, comfortable bed, upgraded bathroom, large TV on the wall in living room, excellent communication with owner, and the heater inside works well. There is a large deck with chairs, dining table and grill. We did not use it because of the weather. It was mostly overcast, rainy and cooler while we were there in January. It is a loft with many steps and if you have heavy luggage, it might be a challenge bringing it up and down the stairs. You might want to bring extra coffee, and Kleenex. There is an excellent grocery nearby called Sprouts Farmers market, it has just about everything at reasonable prices, including ready-made food."

This upstairs unit has a sunny living room with a 65" smart TV with Apple TV, and lots of games to enjoy with family and friends. The dining area can seat 8 comfortably. In the kitchen every convenience is at your fingertips; Kitchen-Aid range, convection microwave, Bosch dishwasher, and a Kitchen-Aid full size refrigerator with filtered water and ice-maker.
The king bedroom features a Casper mattress and the 2nd bedroom is a queen mattress.
In addition to the king and queen beds there is a self-inflating queen air mattress and a twin cot that can be set up in the family room. Linens are a high thread count with fluffy down/alternative comforters.

We have air conditioning but we enjoy a mild climate that is usually just right so open the skylight in the bathroom (crank handle & fan in hall utility closet) and set up the window fan in the dining room window and it will cool the whole house with fresh air! The bedroom has a ceiling fan and for blissful sleep enjoy the queen size pillow top bed and a full sized closet. If you brought the kids* (*kids allowed with your assurance of control- we've had some "free range" kids cause damage & mayhem which we charge for) or if you are with another couple, there is a queen sofa sleeper in the Living Room. *(fee for additional people) If you do have a car, there's a standard sized off street parking spot reserved for you inside the gate for a small to mid-sized car but please, no big trucks or vans unless you can work with the neighbor to move whenever they need to get in or out or just use the easy free street parking wherever you can find it. The easy overnight street parking is good for a few days before you have to move it but it's limited availability unless you come early or late. There are paid lots too. If you walk across the street you'll find Old Town San Diego State Historic Park. You'll want to settle in quick, get rested, and then go see San Diego!! This is where California first began back in 1769! The theme/era of the park is set in the 1870's. During the day, you can step into the courtyard of the "Albert Seeley Stable" and watch the blacksmith demonstrations, tour the Seeley Stable Museum. If you listen carefully you'll hear the donkeys braying from their corals as a reminder from when they were used to bring the first U.S. Mail from the Arizona territory! Also the faint sound of train whistles blow as they arrive at the Old Town Transit Center en route to New Town San Diego or Los Angeles heading north! Enjoy the 11 stop, 25 mile, 2 hour loop (or more if you want to get on & off), It's a fully narrated entertaining tour of San Diego and Coronado Island! *begins at 9am almost every day. You'll see; Seaport Village, the historic Gaslamp District, or get off and go see the World Famous San Diego Zoo in Balboa Park, and Little Italy before it returns to Old Town.
