This carriage house apartment is located in a very quiet residential area of York Harbor. It is very comfortably furnished with a king-sized bed in the bedroom and two single beds in the loft suitable for younger more agile guests. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a washer and dryer too. There is a spectacular view of the ocean from either the living room or from the spacious deck.

It is just steps away from the water. Watch the sunrise over the horizon interrupted only by the silhouette of the famed Boon Island Light seven miles off shore. The Nubble Light is to the north and its flashing beacon is mesmerizing after dark. If there is a foggy day you may hear the distant fog horns from up to three lighthouses. Roaring Rock, a large crevasse which makes a thunderous noise when the seas are running from the northeast, is only a couple hundred feet away along the rocky shore and accessible to those nimble on foot.

Unit is located on the first level of home - Entrance to unit is accessed from the back of house. **Please be advised that our family lives upstairs during the summer. As this is an older home, some sound from upstairs can be heard below. During the week it is extremely quiet upstairs, but on weekends there’s a bit more activity. We do our best to minimize the disruptions.

This is great if you have a rainy day or you just want to chill and watch some tv. This is our third year coming to Maine for a girls getaway and this rental is simply the best. We rented a different one the first year and would never, ever, ever go back. Julie knows what renters need and want. Check this rental out, you will not be disappointed."

This is a cozy and quiet studio, just steps from Long Sands Beach in beautiful York, ME. Our studio is located at the end of a 5 unit condo- part of the Courtesy Condominium Association.

You can sit right outside the unit and enjoy sun or shade and ocean views.

Our clean and cozy condo is perfectly located with everything you need. There's a 3 piece bathroom and a full kitchen.

There is parking for 2 cars-one in front of the unit and the other in the back.

- "We packed more then we needed to (of course) but had a great time. It is a lovely small condo that is perfect for 2 adults (no kids with us) but with the pullout Im sure it could fit a couple of kids. They had beach chairs available (which we didnt use because we brought our own (but didnt use)), very cushiony twin beds, a box with local menus and things to do maps, toaster oven, microwave and stove, k-cup coffeemaker and frig. We didnt have any cell service at the condo but they have wifi which was perfect. We have T-MOBILE service. Other places in York were spotty, one minute you had cell and internet and then nothing which wasnt a big deal but it takes a lot to get used to not using phone these days. Anyway, we had a great week, friendly neighbors and not too far from little local markets or a short ride to the grocery store. This condo is at the south York beach area and to get to the beach you have to go over rocks once down the stairs which is a pain. Also, this beach area does not have any ramps for wheelchairs or walkers. Very disappointed in York for this issue but hopefully they will eventually add one without rocks for people to use. The sand is packed down (not fluffy sand at all) which I love! The cold water invigorates and we love it! Hopefully we will be back next year."

The Main(e) cottage has 2 Bedrooms, (1 Queen and 1 twin over full bunk bed) It also includes off-street parking for 2 cars ( front to back) in a shared driveway, cable TV, WIFI, DVD, books, board games, puzzles, movies, enclosed outdoor shower ( hot/cold water), gas grill and lawn games (bocce, checkers, Jenga, connect four) The kitchen is fully equipped with a coffee maker, coffee bean grinder, toaster, microwave, rice cooker, refrigerator, stove, pots ( including lobster) and pans.

Also included, a beach cart, beach chairs (for adults & kids) sand pails, and shovels. Beach games.

The cottage is near the southern end of the beach. It's a 5-minute walk to the water. Once there you can see views of the Nubble and Boon Island off in the distance.

Looking to get to short sands? walk or ride your bikes the beautiful 2 miles along the water

Bring your bikes and explore York Harbor. (1.5 miles away)

Family friendly, this beach offers miles of sand and oftentimes, great waves for boogie boarding and body surfing! There are adorable small restaurants, ice cream shops, tee shirt shacks and penny candy. Yes, it is a bit throw back, but just what your family will love and long remember. The cottage itself is newly renovated with bamboo flooring throughout, Mini splits for cooling, all new furniture, new wall mounted flat screen TV with cable, wifi, new bathroom with 4 foot shower and so much more! This house is perfect for solo adventures, couples, and families! Great views are just 400 steps from your front door where you can literally see for miles over pristine blue ocean water! We provide hand soap, dish soap, dish towels, a bath mat, trash bags, basic cleaning products, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in a shower pump, light weight summer quilts, 2 rolls of toilet paper, and 1 roll of paper towel. All 3 of the mattresses and all of the pillows are covered with pillow and mattress protectors. After renovating the entire interior, in 2021 we added new exterior siding and some new outdoor furniture. For your convenience, we offer beach chairs and a caddy to lug your gear to the beach. The kitchen is stocked with all the basic things you should need during your stay like a toaster, two kinds of coffee machines (see photos for types) pots and pans if you feel like cooking, plates and cups, and naturally...wine glasses! If there is something that you think should be there, or that you are looking for, please don't hesitate to reach out to us and we will make our best attempt to accommodate your needs within 24 hours of the request (within reason). So close to the playgroup and the downtown shops and a few blocks from Long Sands Beach. Walking distance to Nubble Lighthouse. Just walk down the hill to enjoy all of downtown York Beach, with its bandstand, Ellis Park, playground, basketball courts, shops, and Goldenrod taffy!

The Space
Our apartment offers more space, privacy, and amenities than local hotels. It features an open floor plan with a spacious layout, two bathrooms, and a bedroom on the upper level. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for cooking inside or outside. The first floor has a kitchen, living room, and a 1/2 bathroom overlooking one of our many gardens. The house is perfectly set up for a stay at the beach. The house is an easy walk to Cape Neddick, and a short walk or drive from everything in Short Sands. There is ample space for everything you might need at the beach. You can choose to take your morning coffee on the spacious deck, or lounge in a cozy sunroom at the front of the house. A fully appointed kitchen made meals a snap, and then it was off to the beach. Our family flew in for this trip, but we were greeted with a beach buggy to use, along with chairs and a variety of beach games and boards to take with us to the beach. Plenty of space to hang towels and clear off the sand and salt outside, which kept the house free of sand and dirt throughout the week. Karla and Oren were also great to work with. Not only did they provide the perfect house for us, but they provided great recommendations for their favorite places in town. They were quick to communicate back to us when we had a question, and even cut their day at the beach short to help us when we locked ourselves out of the house. K cups, wood for the bonfire, femanine products, soaps, dish soap, laundry soap, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, bath sugar cubes baggies, matches, extra foam cushion for the sofa sleeper were a bunch of extras that we found extremely thoughtful. Also there were 2 AC conditioners to keep the whole place cool and not just a bedroom. And no way to wash glasses and cups. No dish towel. But there was a wine opener. The check in process was far too long and complicated.
