The Candelore Family is happy to offer a studio apartment with Boardwalk Patio privileges. The studio has a full kitchen area with table and chairs. The bathroom has a shower/tub combination. Note that the apartment is not directly on the beach and does not have a direct view to the ocean. With the front door open, there is an oblique view to the boardwalk, and the main living area side window has a distant view to the ocean. The shared patio is on the boardwalk, but not the unit itself. The unit is upstairs towards the rear of the property. The upstairs is light and bright and the window blinds may be left open as it is difficult for people to see in.

PLEASE READ AND AGREE BEFORE INQUIRING: The unit is suitable for 2 adults (a couple possibly with one infant or small child - 5 years old or younger). There is no access to the patio for non-guests. Due to the small shared area of the patio available to the studio, no one can be invited to come to the patio. For the health of our guests, no smoking of any kind is allowed inside the unit. We are serious: offenders will be fined and reported to the platform.

• GUEST REQUIREMENTS | Per certain regulations & HOA requirements, guests must be at least 30 years of age to book with us. If your group is all adults, then all guests must meet our minimum age of 30.
• OCCUPANCY | Our maximum occupancy refers to the number of people allowed in the home at any given time (ie includes both guests & visitors), some of which may be mandated by certain regulations. Exceptions towards the maximum number of people allowed may be made for children under the age of 2. Guest(s) agrees that more than the number of people stated on the reservation shall not occupy the premises. The number of guests includes visitors, even if they are not staying overnight.
• NOISE | Our homes are intended for relaxing getaways, not rowdy beach parties. Music and other noise is to be kept at an appropriate level and in a manner that is mindful to neighbors. Noise that can be heard 50 feet away from the home is prohibited. Parties are not allowed. If there is excessive noise or music, any illegal activity, or evidence of violation of these policies, you may be asked to vacate the premise without any refund and additional charges may be assessed.

I am located between beach and bay, 15 minutes to downtown, 15 minutes to the airport, 25 minutes to the Mexican border. 5 minutes to the Pacific Beach entertainment center and 5 minutes to Belmont Park and the roller Coaster on the ocean side Boardwalk. I have a parrot by the name of Sam. He is very people friendly.
I am happy to provide you with tips about what to see and do in San Diego.

Riding bikes along the boardwalk is usually the most scenic way to get around and take in the atmosphere. We supply communal bikes for the guests in our complex. This tiny cottage apartment is only 400 square feet and is great for 1 or 2 adults. (Or maybe 2 adults and 1 or 2 small kids). For guests with infants or toddlers, we can supply you with a pack and play and high chair upon request.

This unit comes with access to 2 bikes for cruising down the boardwalk. Should you want to rent more bikes there is a bike rental shop a couple blocks away. (They also rent kid-sized bikes and baby seats if you need those too.) We do not supply bike helmets. By law, only minors are required to wear bike helmets. You may bring your own bike helmets or you may rent them at the rental shop.

You have access to a coin operated washer/dryer that is shared by the other 5 units of the complex. Tenant access time is daily after 3 pm or before 10 am. (They are reserved for the housekeepers during the hours of 10 am-3 pm for the turnovers.)

If you'd rather have your laundry done for you there is a laundromat within walking distance that offers drop-off service at an affordable weight based fee. You can just drop it off in the morning and they will have it ready and neatly folded for you by the end of the day.

The best thing about the neighborhood is there is so much within walking distance you may not need a car. You could just take a taxi from the airport (6 miles away), get dropped off here and you're at the beach! We have local restaurants, trendy beach bars, excellent coffee spots, and breakfasts cafes all within a few short blocks. Sea World is just 3 miles away.

The location is the best spot of all of Mission Beach. It is on the south side of Santa Clara Place (the only traffic light in North Mission Beach), which means a non commercial area. It is far enough (1 mile) north of the roller coaster area so it's very removed from the tourist noise. It is off of the main boulevard with friendly neighbors and a quiet homey atmosphere.

Recreational opportunities abound. This beach rental is a few minutes walking distance to Santa Clara point where there are numerous recreation activities and rentals available including: stand up paddle boards, kayaks, jet skis, windsurfing, catamarans, sail boats, water ski boats, and even jet packs. - "I stayed with my husband and teenage son. We wanted to be close to the beach and it is steps away! Pros: Wonderful amount of space and we would book again even if bringing friends/more family. I was very impressed at how clean everything was. When you are steps away from the beach most properties are a bit dirty but this place was GREAT! It is far enough from Belmont Park that it is a bit safer and calmer but close enough to get there in just minutes. Beds are comfortable. My son loved having his own bathroom! Cons: Master bathroom has a long vertical window inside the shower. There is no privacy glass so you could potentially give quite the show to anyone in the alley taking out their trash. You can hide if you stay close to the wall - or there is an additional bathroom. The garage is SMALL - take the reviews seriously. It was a struggle to get my VW Jetta to fit the first time but once I knew it was possible it got easier. I would recommend having a friend stand on the street while parking. There is a bit of foot traffic /bicycles so it is nice to have someone help with that while I squeezed in the garage. As expected for the location - it was louder at night with some beach party people and car noise but that is going to happen if you want to stay INCHES from the ocean on Mission Beach. Don't let the cons hold you back - this place was AWESOME!"

I loved the location, access to bikes, and clear directions/instructions. I ended up looking for street parking the next day. The place was slightly shabbier than I expected based on the photos, though it was clean. The best thing about the neighborhood is that there is so much within walking distance that you may not need a car. You could just take a taxi from the airport (6 miles away), get dropped off here and you're at the beach! We have local restaurants, trendy beach bars, excellent coffee spots, and breakfasts cafes all within a few short blocks. Sea World is just 3 miles away.

The location is the best spot of all of Mission Beach. It is on the south side of Santa Clara Place (the only traffic light in North Mission Beach), which means a non commercial area. It is far enough (1 mile) north of the roller coaster area so it's very removed from the tourist noise. It is off of the main boulevard with friendly neighbors and a quiet homey atmosphere.

Recreational opportunities abound. This beach rental is a few minutes walking distance to Santa Clara point where there are numerous recreation activities and rentals available including: stand up paddle boards, kayaks, jet skis, windsurfing, catamarans, sail boats, water ski boats, and even jet packs. There are group classes and private lessons available in all of these activities. What's more there are free yoga classes each day on the beach just two courts north.

It is equally centered between Belmont Park (the roller coaster area) and Crystal Pier in Pacific Beach, which are both 1 mile away, making this location accessible to the action if that's what you want.

There is a fantastic surf spot at the beach for beginner to advanced surfers and great for spectators as well. Walk in either direction (West or East) and you'll encounter pristine white beaches. Both sides have wide boardwalks for bicycling or walking. On the bay-side you'll enjoy a relaxing sail bay with a calm atmosphere, while on the ocean-side you'll enjoy ocean waves for surfing and a lively beach scene. Either way, you'll call it paradise. There is a queen size bed in the bedroom. It offers one bathroom and a fully supplied kitchen.

We include a window AC unit in the bedroom for comfortable sleeping. Both the bedroom and living rooms have ceiling fans. The fastest way to cool off the apartment is to open the windows and the front door and run the ceiling fans to push the hot air out. With the windows open there is a nice seabreeze that will usually keeps the place pretty cool.

The kitchen includes a stove, refrigerator, microwave, blender, and a coffee maker. We supply you with all the cooking pans, dishes, and utensils you might need. There are the usual kitchen gadgets such as bottle openers and cork screws.

The television is equipped with Internet TV with Roku, which includes live local TV & Netflix. It also offers Amazon Prime, Hulu, and many other channels that you can use with your login credentials. What's more, there is free WIFI and plenty of outlets to keep you plugged in.

There is also a bus stop a few yards away that travels down Mission Blvd and will take you to Old Town in minutes. At Old Town there is a major transportation hub where you can transfer to any other bus line or transfer to the Trolley (San Diego's metro line) which will take you downtown.

Car Rental vs. Uber - The cost to Uber to downtown is way less expensive then to rent a daily car then pay $30+ to park not to mention spend 15+ minutes trying to find that parking spot which usually winds up being a 5 to 10 minute walk from your downtown destination. • GUEST REQUIREMENTS | Per certain regulations & HOA requirements, guests must be at least 30 years of age to book with us. If your group is all adults, then all guests must meet our minimum age of 30.
• OCCUPANCY | Our maximum occupancy refers to the number of people allowed in the home at any given time (ie includes both guests & visitors), some of which may be mandated by certain regulations. Exceptions towards the maximum number of people allowed may be made for children under the age of 2. Guest(s) agrees that more than the number of people stated on the reservation shall not occupy the premises. The number of guests includes visitors, even if they are not staying overnight.
• NOISE | Our homes are intended for relaxing getaways, not rowdy beach parties. Music and other noise is to be kept at an appropriate level and in a manner that is mindful to neighbors. The Mission beach apartment is located just steps from the beach and bay. It’s old and not fancy but I love it. If u want the to be steps from the beach this is a perfect place! The beach house is located near restaurants, shops, bike rentals, and on the main bus route. Also, Belmont Park is just a few blocks away. There is free parking on the bay side. If you're looking for a relaxing beach getaway look no further! This cozy little beach studio is perfect for 2 people

It is positioned in the ♡ of Mission Beach, a gorgeous beach community on a super narrow strip of land between the Pacific Ocean and Mission Bay. Walk in either direction (West or East) and you'll encounter pristine white beaches. Both sides have wide boardwalks for bicycle riding or walking. On the bay-side you'll enjoy a relaxing sail bay with a calm atmosphere, while on the ocean-side you'll enjoy ocean waves for surfing and a lively beach scene. Either way, you'll call it paradise. We simply call it home!

The studio is 350 square feet so it's about the size of an average U.S. hotel room. It features a Queen bed, love seat couch, bathroom, and a tiny fully stocked kitchen. The kitchen includes a stove, refrigerator, microwave, blender, and a coffee maker. We supply you with all the cooking pans, dishes, and utensils you might need. There are the usual kitchen gadgets such as bottle openers and cork screws.

The studio is supplied with a window AC unit. With the bathroom door open and the bedroom ceiling fan turned on for circulation the AC should keep the whole place nice and cool.

The television is a Roku TV, which includes live local TV, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and many other channels. What's more, there is free WIFI and plenty of outlets to keep you plugged in.

The vacation rental comes supplied with all the basics you'd expect at any hotel like a hair dryer and iron. And don't forget that we even supply you with bikes for cruising down the boardwalk. We think of everything you might need and even stock you with beach towels so you don't need to pack those in your suitcase. Why stay at a hotel when you can stay in the comfort of your own studio in a friendly neighborhood? Vacation like a local.

Included with the rental is the use of beach cruiser bikes, boogie boards, beach towels, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, and sand toys for the kids. Plus there is a rental shop just a 3 minute walk away that rents surfboards, wetsuits, stand up paddle boards, kayaks, etc. They have very affordable rates, plus we give you a 15% discount on all the rentals they have to offer after booking with us.

Warning: This unit does not offer a designated parking spot. If you are bringing a car, keep in mind that finding a street parking space could be very challenging, especially on weekends and during the summer months since this unit is across the street from the beach. Other times of year street parking is very doable. If needed there are two nearby free recreation parking lots a few blocks away at Santa Clara Point or El Carmel Point.

Other things to note
Due to insurance reasons, the person booking must be at least 25 years old to book and must upload a photo of government ID to the host within 24 hours of booking.

This property does NOT include a dedicated parking space and therefore this unit is mainly recommended for people traveling without a car. Due to its location across from the beach, street parking can be very challenging, especially during the summer months, late at night, or sunny weekends the rest of the year. Most guests arrive via Uber/Lyft. Once you get here there is no need for a car. The beach is just across the street and there are plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance.

The space is quite small and compact and is only suitable for 1 or 2 people. (The sofa is a loveseat and not long enough for anyone, including a child, to sleep on.)

For guests with infants, we can supply you with a pack and play and high chair upon request. However, keep in mind you will have very little floor space remaining with the pack & play set up.

We supply you with up to 2 beach cruiser bicycles for cruising down the boardwalk. Should you need additional bikes or helmets there is a bike rental shop a couple blocks away. (They also rent kid-sized bikes and baby seats if you need those too.)

You will have access to a patio and BBQ that is shared with the 5 other units of the complex. The other units are vacation rentals so feel free to say hello and make friends with your fellow travelers if you encounter them!

You have access to a coin operated washer/dryer that is shared by the other 5 units of the complex. Tenant access time is daily after 3 pm or before 10 am.

If you'd rather have your laundry done for you there is a laundromat within walking distance that offers drop-off service at an affordable weight based fee. You can just drop it off in the morning and they will have it ready and neatly folded for you by the end of the day.

Want a private bonfire on the beach? We can connect you with a service that offers set up and take down, portable steel fire drum, roasting sticks, hot dogs, and s'mores.

Are you into yoga? There is free beach yoga daily just a 5 minute walk from the property. No yoga mats are required. Just bring beach towels and water and you are all set. (It's donation based so maybe bring some cash for the instructor. )

We can help arrange for an affordable local portrait photographer to do a photo session of your family or group on the beach. Let us know in advance if you're interested and we can make connect you with the photographer during your stay.
