- "Very close to convention center" - "We were remodeling our home and had to move out for 2 week while our floor were being done and with 2 cats and 2 dogs we were limited on a short term rental. We were excited to find this place so close to the airport since I work there. On the day we checked in we were give the wrong code for the lock box and were unable to stay that 1st night because we were unable to get a hold of anyone. The next day we were given another code and we were able to enter the property. We were never refunded for the 1st night. We asked 5 times and were called liars incredibly rude and unprofessional. The whole building reeks of cigarette smoke, the apartment smelled it was sickening. The tenant up stair would stomp around upstairs for HOURS on end. You could not connect to Netflix or any other streaming service on the TV and there was never enough hot water to take a shower. I presumed it was on some kind of timer. If it were not for our predicament I would NEVER continued to stay there. Luxury apartment, not even close! "

The house is a 10 minute drive to O'Hare Airport. It is a 25 minute drive without construction. 15 minutes to the train station.

A beautiful neighborhood, the convenience of O'Hare and the highway, and 3 ways to get downtown less than a mile away (blue line and metra). Great food, bars, grocery store, and parks all within walking distance. A great alternative to the hustle and bustle of the city but you can be in some of the best neighborhoods in the city in 15 min (Wicker Park, Lincoln Park, Logan Sq.) and downtown in 25.

In-law private entrance to the basement of a beautiful home. That said, you will hear foot steps upstairs, as my family lives upstairs. You do have your own private entrance but as the space is in our basement, we do have access to the space where our washer and dryer are located. This is an independent space, not to be shared with anyone from outside, or those residing on the floor above. This space is for an exclusive use of those that rented it through the Airbnb. Access inside is through the REAR DOOR from the back yard of the house. Upon entering go down a flight of stairs to get in.

Please enter through the REAR DOOR from the backyard. Access code will be provided upon check in. All you need to do is to punch in the code. The door lock will open and shot on its own, no input is needed once inside. Just close the door, that is all. Same when you are leaving the house, no action needed.

Please use the fan in the bathroom during showering and toilet use.

On street parking and easy access to public transportation. 3 blocks from I 90, 10 minutes from O'hare and 20 minutes from downtown. Lots of on street free parking out front. Enter through the side door entrance and proceed to the second floor where you will find your private space. Laundry is available in the basement for guests who stay over 1 month. 32” tv in BR with Roku, plus TV located in the Kitchen/Dining area has a Smart DVD hook up where you can log into your own NETFLIX.

Basic children’s accessories available upon request. Space is by no means child proof or even child friendly. Children will need supervision. By popular request guests traveling with a child can request a pack and play crib, booster seat and children’s dining set.

Owner lives on the first floor and has a dog, parrot and chickens in the back yard. Animals will not be in your space and you will not encounter them unless you ask to. Questions about urban farming are always welcome and a couple of backyard chicken eggs are always available if you want to give them a try.

Important note : The space has central air but you will be able to manually adjust the temperature in your unit with the added extra air conditioner. In the winter I will keep the temperature between 68-70. There is an added heater located in the bedroom which must stay in its location to avoid blowing fuses and to prevent fires. If you need to plug in anything extra especially hair dryers anywhere else in the unit you absolutely must Unplug the heater before you do. Failure to follow these directions will lead to the power going out in your unit which may take up to an hour to restore if I am not home.

It will be a private space for you during your stay and it will include a small kitchen, dining room table, desk area, full bathroom and large open bedroom which has a Queen bed and a Twin day bed.
