Our home is a five minute walk from hiking trails leading to the Santa Monica Mountains, a 10 minute walk to the Palisades Village and a 15 minute walk to the beach! Guests will have full privacy as they relax in this peaceful space. There is a driveway with both pathway and stairs that leads from the street to the back guest home. The guest home can comfortably accommodate up to Three guests -- 1 queen sized bed (sleeps two) and 1 leather sofa (sleeps one). The bathroom has a stand-up shower, toilet, and sink, along with complimentary shampoo/conditioner, towels, and other accessories with one step to get into bathroom, and another step to access the toilet. The kitchen space has granite and porcelain countertops with island space for work or eating, as well as an electric cooktop with hood vent, stainless steel appliances (toaster oven, kettle, coffee pot, mini-fridge, etc.), and table ware. In addition, the space includes cabinet space, dressers for clothing, USB charging stations, a wall-mounted 4K HDR flat screen TV (DirecTV Satellite, Roku, Amazon FireStick, etc.), and Wi-Fi.

Ample free parking is available on the street. Please do not block driveways. Bus stop just around the corner that can get you all over LA.

We expect all guests to keep the shared spaces clean and tidy. Guests will be able to lock the home to ensure privacy and safety. This space is not suitable for infants and small children. Also, there is a small dog on the premises. The backyard and patio are shared spaces. Absolutely no smoking on the premises.

Please note per LA home sharing ordinance, our guesthouse is for maximum 2 adults and any other guest must be under 18 years old. This guest can sleep in our very comfortable leather couch.

If guests need to borrow anything (power converters, toiletries that were forgotten at home, etc.) please feel free ask, and we may be able to supply you with what you need.

To ensure proper cleaning and preparation of the guesthouse for the next reservation, we have a strict check-out time. Any guest that has not checked out by 11 am PST is subject to a $20 late check-out fee.

Heart House is located in Santa Monica Canyon. A stunning area at the north end of Santa Monica. Our house is just a block to the beach and only a 4 minute walk to the world famous Will Rogers Beach, also known as “Bay Watch Beach". We are excited to announce that Will Rogers State Beach just received an A rating for water quality from Heal the Bay. This charming bungalow is perfect for couples or families with 2 children. Two Bedrooms, two bathrooms, a King size bed in the Master Bedroom and two twins in the 2nd Bedroom. We are happy to accommodate 5 people as long as one is a small child that can use a pack and play. House features include complete privacy behind beautiful Redwood Fence and Gate. There is a spacious Indoor/Outdoor Room for entertaining and relaxing. Other features include Free Wi-Fi High Speed Internet connectivity, DirectTV, all new Stainless Steel appliances, 50' LED Flat screen HD television, beautiful floor to ceiling brick gas Fireplace in the Living Room, a four person Jacuzzi Hot Tub and mini ping pong table for the kids. Parking is provided for one car on the property as well as ample street parking.

The Heart House does not have central air conditioning. We do have a portable unit that we can set up for you. It will cool the master bedroom down but not the whole house. Because we are located so close to the beach we rarely even need it. All the rooms are equipped with ceiling fans that do a wonderful job cooling the rooms.
Seven restaurants are easily accessible within a 2 minute walk, as well as a small market and liquor store.
No keys to deal with or lose during your stay. Both the Front Gate and Front Door to the house is controlled by an Electronic Door lock and both use the same pass-code, for your convenience! You simply get a 4 digit code to make your stay that much easier.

The balcony was a bit tight for 4 people, but we made it work and still managed to squeeze our group of 4 adults out there plus a dog, as it is sooo beautiful and peaceful! ...Its very cozy and again, the views at night are amazing...Important to note, like any cool hillside beach retreat in area, there are LOTS of stairs to get to beach and back ...So if you have "beach stuff" you plan to bring to beach, it's a lot. We ended up driving a couple times, which was quick, easy and no issues with parking at beach at all, as its all right there...Overall, this is super cute, clean, cozy retreat, really close to ocean with stunning views...would stay here again...Thanks Anna for a great stay, we really enjoyed our time here, and wished we were able to stay longer..."

Or just chill out and watch TV in your room or living room. 4 min close to shore and easy access to the coast. Baby car seat available. I have a dog named, "Whiskey". A nice easy 1 mile hike is at the Temescal Canyon Gateway Park:
Take Sunset to Temescal Canyon Blvd. Turn left into the park. Then turn into the parking lot on your left and go to the very end. You will find a trail head that runs along the creek. Take it to the railroad tie stairs and turn right. Stay along the other side of the creek and down past the big oak tree and back to the parking lot. You can go straight at the rail road tie stairs for more exploration and a more challenging hike into the Santa Monica mountains. 1 mi to the waterfall. All day to Topanga Canyon. From there get a ride back home from a friend or Uber.

Caution! Obey all stop signs in the park with a 3 sec. full stop. They are camera enforced and will fine a rolling stop with a $100 ticket.

Public transportation within 1 min walk, will get you anywhere in town in no time. Basic essentials (shampoo, paper towels, toilet papers, etc.) are supplied for the first week of your stay. You must replenish them if you are staying for a longer time period.

Clean towels and sheets are provided. We can provide a total cleaning of your unit, including new sheets, towels, and the essentials, for a fee equal to the original cleaning fee.

Let us know if you wish to use that option please. We can do this weekly, biweekly or anytime you wish. You must request this service in writing and pay the fee before it is rendered.

Non emergency repair requests during off hours will be attended to on the 1st business day, thereafter. NO PETS, NO SMOKING PLEASE.

The space
Guests will have full privacy as they relax in this peaceful space. There is a driveway with both ramp and stairs that leads from the street to the back guest home. The guest home can comfortably accommodate up to four guests -- 1 queen sized bed (sleeps two) and 1 leather sofa (sleeps one). The bathroom has a stand-up shower, toilet, and sink, along with complimentary shampoo/conditioner, towels, and other accessories with one step to get into bathroom, and another step to access the toilet. The kitchen space has granite and porcelain countertops with island space for work or eating, as well as an electric cooktop with hood vent, stainless steel appliances (toaster oven, kettle, coffee pot, mini-fridge, etc.), and table ware. In addition, the space includes cabinet space, dressers for clothing, USB charging stations, a wall-mounted 4K HDR flat screen TV (DirecTV Satellite, Roku, Amazon FireStick, etc.), and Wi-Fi.

Ample free parking is available on the street. Please do not block driveways. Bus stop just around the corner that can get you all over LA.

Guest access
We expect all guests to keep the shared spaces clean and tidy. Guests will be able to lock the home ensure privacy and safety. This space is not suitable for infants and small children. Also, there is a small dog on the premises. The backyard and patio are shared spaces. Absolutely no smoking on the premises.

Please note per LA home sharing ordinace, our guesthouse is for maximum 2 adults and any other guest need to be under 18 years old.

Other things to note
If guests need to borrow anything (power converters, toiletries that were forgotten at home, etc.) please feel free ask, and we may be able to supply you with what you need.

To ensure proper cleaning and preparation of the guesthouse for the next reservation, we have a strict check-out time. Any guest that has not checked out by 11 am PST is subject to a $20 late check-out fee.

Your private room and bath sleeps 3 comfortably. Two in a new king-size bed, one in the twin sofa bed, and access to a floor cot for a 4th person. Better value than a hotel. The bonus kitchen and living room is common space to use at your convenience. I have 1 Belgian Malinois Dog that stays in my room and backyard. He may bark a little at first until I introduce you, but does not bite. I can keep him in my room if you like.

Enjoy many hiking trails or Los Liones trail 2 miles away with 180 views of the ocean. My dog "Whiskey" doesn't have access to the inside of the house. He stays in my room & backyard. He barks for a few minutes when he hears the door but quickly stops. Introduction if you like. If you have a pet: the fee is 20 per day & must upgrade to the bigger private entrance, fully equipped, laundry, and tiled king-size room for another 20 per day.

Stairs to climb- from street to unit, and within unit, from main level, there are stairs up to master bedroom.

We have hardwood flooring. House is furnished with newer furniture, 3 flat screen HDTV, free high speed WIFI, 2 queen beds, and 2 sofa beds (can sleep 6 comfortably), with all new and clean bedding, clean sheets, pillows with cover, and blanket, night stands, and dresser.
Free parking in front of the house, and ample street parking in addition to your private parking.

Kitchen has a fridge, microwave, stove and oven, pots and pans and utensils. Everything you need to cook a good meal.

Basic essentials (shampoo, paper towels, toilet papers, etc.) are supplied for the first week of your stay. You must replenish them if you are staying for a longer time period.

Clean towels and sheets are provided, and you can wash them yourself, for a longer stay, using the washer dryer at the outside storage. We can provide a total cleaning of your unit, including new sheets, towels, and the essentials, for a fee equal to the original cleaning fee.

We can do this weekly, biweekly or anytime you wish. You must request this service in writing and pay the fee before it is done.

Please do not ask to inspect the unit, before you book it. We are fully occupied at all times, and never disturb our guests to show their home to others. We respect our guests' privacy, diligently. The space
When you step inside you’ll find large picture windows and french doors that access the private back patio abundant with plants native to Southern California. Beautifully curated open living and dining areas include a large couch, 65” Frame TV, and a dining table with seating for seven. Skylights add to the natural light of the space that is artfully decorated and thoughtfully stocked with games, books, and knick knacks.

The chef’s kitchen offers a Wolf oven and range, toaster oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator with filtered water, freezer, as well as dishes, cookware, serving platters, chef’s knives, and utensils for all of your cooking and baking needs. There is a drip coffee maker, coffee, and an assortment of tea provided, along with a full barware setup.

The east side of the house offers two queen bedrooms each with ample closet space. Bedroom #1 has a split AC/Heater, french doors leading to the outside patio, and privacy shades. Bedroom #2 has a heater and fan as well as shutters for darkening the windows, which open to the outside. The bedrooms share a full bathroom that has a bathtub, shower, and a Toto washlet bidet.

The west side of the house has a king sized bedroom with a TV, closet, and split AC/heater. An ensuite bathroom offers a shower and Toto bidet.

Outside in the back you will find a spacious patio with flourishing plants, a seating area as well as dining table, BBQ, and twinkle lights for enjoying peaceful gatherings outside with loved ones.

A set of stairs leads from the patio down to a lower section of the backyard where you will find the detached office studio space, and a back gate that offers even easier access when walking to the beach or into town.

The office studio is equipped with a large desk and desk chair, loveseat sofa, and split ac/heater. In both the main house and the studio there is a 1 GB fiber hardwire connection, as well as wifi, which makes this a perfect place to do remote work. This studio is also well suited to use as a music room or private yoga studio.

The garage is attached to the main house, and is where you will find the washer and dryer as well as beach essentials such as beach towels, coolers, a foam surfboard, boogie boards, beach chairs, and a beach umbrella. Yoga mats, yoga blocks, foam rollers, and other miscellaneous workout gear are also available for guest use.

The front of the property has parking for two large vehicles and an electronic gate for added privacy and security. There is additional unregulated parking directly across the street.

THINGS TO NOTE:

1- After the Palisades fire in January 2025, the house was fully remediated for smoke damage in March 2025 by a state Certified Restorer that holds over 20 certifications from institutions including the RIA, IICRC, and the EPA. The post remediation testing confirmed that there are no toxins present in the home.

2- The upper back patio area has no railing with a small drop off into a slope of plants. The stairs leading to the lower patio, gate & detached office studio space do not have railings either and the brick floor is uneven in some spots. We have marked each stair as well as uneven areas with reflective tape. Please use caution, especially with children in these areas. Hosts & owners assume no liability for injury.

3- Queen Bedroom #2 does not have AC but does have windows that open as well as a fan & heater. Temperatures tend to stay mild, especially at night.

4- The fireplace is not currently working, please do not attempt to have a fire in it. You are welcome to light the candles inside of it for ambience if you wish.
