In the spirit of keeping travel affordable we have not raised our prices in over two years - even though our operating costs have increased. We’ll never ask you to strip beds, do the laundry, or take out the trash. We pay a generous living wage to our housekeeper and professionally clean the laundry. Located in the heart of Denver, with accessibility to nearly everything. Bike/walk on the Cherry Creek path, just a couple blocks up the street. It's surrounded by so much activity but offers a quiet respite from the outside world. You'll love the clean, warm, contemporary style on the inside with blackout shades in the bedroom. A full kitchen with spices and basics, if you choose to cook. But why would you want to cook when you have sports bars, fine restaurants, Sushi bars, breakfast cafes within a couple minutes walk??? We'll supply you with coffee, tea and a few other niceties.!
If you are flying into Denver, it's an easy light rail ride to Denver's Union Station. You could take a short bus ride from Union Station down to our stop (Broadway and 1st Ave) and have a 5 minute walk to the Logan Street Urban Refuge. Depending on what you plan to do in Denver, it's highly possible you wouldn't need a car. Your hosts are respectful of your privacy but are available to help you navigate the city/state if you have questions, or to talk and enjoy meeting new people. I call my home The Nest. This is a prime location near shops, restaurants, DU, Safeway, and light-rail. You have a separate entrance to a fully remodeled basement apartment including 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, living room, work-space, laundry room and kitchenette.
You have your choice between Marriott pillows, My Pillow pillows, and some temper-pedic pillows. (I take my pillows seriously!) There are 14 restaurants of all ethnicities within 400 yards, and a Starbucks only 100 yards away. Welcome to The Nest!
The space
This is a 1950's home that was fully and lovingly renovated just a couple years ago. I live in the upstairs level, and the garden level is all yours with a separate entrance -- even a separate custom-lit walkway from the street.
While I want to be here to greet you as you arrive, if I'm unable to there is a keypad entrance for easy access. The check-in hours are from 3pm to 8pm, but if you are here outside those hours, just contact me and we'll make it happen.
Guest access
You have a separate, private entrance with motion censored lights that light up your path at night. I will not enter your space during your stay here unless there is an emergency or at your invitation.
2 x bedrooms (The first bedroom has a queen bed, closet and dresser, the second bedroom has a queen bed and closet, and in the living room there is even a futon which can turn into a full-size bed (with two super cozy mattress toppers!)
This price is for 2 people but it will fit up to 6! (But that is cozy, I gotta tell you! I do ask for $10 per person extra for each person over the initial 2. Just let me know how many people and I'll give you a custom quote.
The kitchenette has a sink, refrigerator, coffee maker, LOADS of various coffees, creamers and sugars! Microwave, nutri-bullet blender, toaster, crock-pot, hot-water jug, basic dishware, and basic condiments.
NOTE: We do not have a hot plate -- by design -- and ask that you not bring your own.
The bathroom has a shower (no tub). The bathroom is small, but fresh and new and cleaned thoroughly after each guest.
All of these rooms are yours and won't be shared with anyone else.
Interaction with guests
I am in my portion of the house, but am here for you if you want to chat, get advice on the hot spots, where to eat, shop, directions, etc. If you're up for a walk, I'm always up for a walk through the neighborhood -- just ask! Maybe we'll even end up at the Thai restaurant near by!
Other things to note
I do have three cats, and while they have no access to your apartment you may hear them scurrying about early in the morning. Then, of course, they sleep the rest of the day because, well, they're cats. Note about cat allergies: The cats have never been in your apartment suite, but if you have serious allergies this might not be a good fit for you. I'm sure kitty hair can sneak through vents.
I do work from home too, so am in and out all day. You may hear me walking around. But I ain't dancin' with high heels, so it shouldn't be that loud!
There is street parking, but you'll want to park on the east side. The west side you can park from 6pm to 8am and all day Sunday. (The west side of the street is permitted parking for residents. The east side -- across the street -- has no homes so you have plenty of it!)
NOTE: The rates quoted are for two people, although 4 people can comfortably be here. But there is a $10 per night/per person fee over 2 people. Just mention it when you book and we'll work it out. Thanks.

There is original art throughout, exposed brick walls, hardwood floors, ceramic tiles, and a mix of old and new. It is nice, relaxed and very clean and comfortable.
This is a great place to stay while in Denver, whether for work or play. The idea for our guest house was to create a place that we would want to stay while we are in town!
This ground floor unit is 700 sq. ft. with a private entrance to your home away from home, with free on-street parking, as well as wi-fi, a full kitchen with a dishwasher and microwave, plus a washer/dryer in the unit. The bedroom is very large with a queen bed and a work area with a desk.
There is a shared patio off the bedroom that is situated in a beautiful, mature garden. Our guests really like this feature, they say it's a great place to sit and enjoy their morning coffee.
A three-block walk to unique boutiques, vintage furniture stores, indie movies, bookstores, coffee houses, yoga, pilates, and a great mix of restaurants and nightlife. A couple of distilleries have opened including the locally owned Denver Distillery.
It’s an 8-block walk to light rail, a 3-minute drive to the Santa Fe Arts District with scores of galleries, a 5- to 7-minute drive to downtown, and a 10-minute drive to the Cherry Creek shopping district. You can walk or drive to the Denver Art Museum, the Clyfford Still Museum and the Kirkland Museum of Fine & Decorative Art.
A lot of our guests include travel nurses, who are looking for their home away from home while they work at nearby hospitals for an extended time; grandparents who want to stay in a place of their own while they visit their kids and new grandchildren; digital nomads and couples on vacation. We have many repeat guests who book with us every time they come to Denver!

But at the top, you can see the Rockies through the treetops. * If you are tall or used to sleeping in a king-size bed, you might find the beds small. * The space is an attic apartment, so the ceilings are slanted on the side. Welcome to our very comfortable suite with private bath in our Platt Park home. Hosts have hospitality backgrounds; one is multi-lingual: English, French, German, Dutch & Spanish. House is across the street from a park/library & two blocks to S. Pearl Street.
DU (~ 1 mile away & 1 stop south) is accessible by light rail (about six blocks away). The University of Colorado Denver and Denver International Airport can be reached by light rail as well. The closest RTD bus stop is two blocks east.
The space
Our 3300 s/f home is a townhouse. Stairs to the second floor will bring you to your three-room suite. The 1st bedroom has a king bed with a small desk/study area. The second bedroom has a trundle bed (sleeps two on twin mattresses**), or it can be used as a couch to relax or watch TV. This second bedroom also has a table and chairs, as well as a small refrigerator, microwave and toaster oven. Additionally, the suite provides a coffee maker and a hot pot for tea. The third room is a private bathroom between the two bedrooms for easy access. High speed internet and on-street parking in a quiet & diversified neighborhood.
**THE BOTTOM MATTRESS IS MORE NARROW (35" WIDE, 75" LONG). THIS BOTTOM MATTRESS IS BETTER SUITED FOR A CHILD, ADOLESCENT OR YOUNG ADULT, 5'9" OR UNDER. PLEASE PLAN ACCORDINGLY.

Guest access
In addition to the suite, you will have access to the covered front porch with a sofa and two chairs for quiet enjoyment - and I emphasize quiet enjoyment. The quiet hours for inside apply as well outside (9:00pm - 7:30am). I have neighbors!! The front living room of the house is also available for quiet relaxation. There are no kitchen privileges or laundry privileges, but negotiable depending on length-of-stay.
During your stay
We are fairly busy, but do enjoy meeting and conversing with our guests. That said, we will follow your lead with your desired level of interaction. However, we are always at the end of our cell phones for any questions/concerns.
Other things to note
As we already have a lovely & gentle Labrador retriever, we do not encourage our guests to bring their furry friends. Our boy is not permitted in the guest suite.
Please know that Denver law requires that all of it's short-term lease hosts be primary residents of the property that is being leased. Andre and I live on the property in the second suite on the second floor.
There will be a $20 per hour, or any fraction thereof, for late check-outs. Should an extra guest (more than 2 people) share the suite space with you, please know that you will be charged the extra guest fee of $29.00.
ALL people, including babies, need to be put into your reservation request. Although I don't charge for babies, they need to be included in the reservation for insurance purposes. You will be reimbursed, through Airbnb, if charged for a baby. Message me immediately after you make your reservation so that I can make the adjustment.
I respectfully request that the furniture in the suite not be moved-around without consent, and that long-term guests not use the suite for personal storage. Thank you.

You can let your dog use the fenced in backyard as well. We also have an excellent neighborhood park for dog walks that is very close by.
Other things to note
Please note no smoking is allowed inside or outside on the property. The only smoking that is allowed is vaping while outside.
A fine of $250 will be applied if rules are broken. We do ask you are quiet in the backyard after 10pm as this is a neighborhood.
No firearms of weapons of any kind are allowed on the property.
Two small dogs are allowed for $50 per pet.
