Named for the famous WWII flying boat, Catalina has the distinction of being the first beach cottage purchased by the Harris family in 1983. This arrangement is ideal for large groups of friends or family members that all want to enjoy each other's company without feeling confined to sharing a single house together.

The two bedrooms each have their own full bathroom. The east bedroom is set up as a guest room and has sleeping for 2 with a queen bed. The west bedroom is the master and features captivating beachfront views with sleeping for 4 with a king bed and a bunk bed. Linens are provided, but guests are advised to bring their own beach towels. The home is nice but could use a little TLC from normal wear and tear. The kitchen was sufficient for cooking. I brought a griddle, spatula, and whisk and was glad that I did so. If you are planning to have a shrimp boil, you would need to bring your own large pot. There is no grill - I didn't notice this in the amenities and brought steaks to grill. This is the only home we have ever rented that did not have a grill available, but it doesn't include this in the amenities list. Home is nicely decorated and furnished. Lots of interesting details. Hard to beat this location and the convenience of the beach."
