Take a step back into time, and stay in our 1920s Art Deco speakeasy-themed loft. The Prohibition Era was such an interesting time in our history, and we have tried to capture this snapshot in time at The Gatsby. Upon arrival, you must ascend 27 stairs (there is no elevator).

The Location:
When staying at The Gatsby, you will find yourself in the heart of Downtown Tuscaloosa overlooking the magnificent and bustling University Blvd and Greensboro Ave. Intersection. Walk to bars, restaurants, convenience stores, shopping, and more! Just 1 mile from Bryant Denny stadium!

Parking:
There is no designated parking, as you are in a loft space in Downtown, facing University Blvd. After 5PM, you are able to park anywhere on University Blvd, but during the day, you will get towed after 2 hrs. You are nearby to a public parking garage that you are able to utilize, or we recommend an Uber/Lyft. Once you arrive, you should not need a car as you are walking distance to everything, or could get a golf cart shuttle.

We could easily walk to all the restaurants and bars in the downtown area. There’s plenty of room to spread out so you don’t feel crowded like most hotel rooms. I was a little concerned we might have noise from nearby businesses but not at all. The only negative is you have to climb quite a few stairs to get in the unit but that wasn’t an issue for us. Also, we were lucky enough to find parking close by since it was a weekend. During the week, you would need to park in parking garage a block away. Overall, we loved the convenience, amenities and uniqueness of the property plus the ease of booking and communication. Highly recommend!"
