This rustic lake cabin is located just North of Co. Rd. 82 on the Big Tallapoosa River. This is a great lake retreat that offers 3 bedrooms and 2 baths that sleeps 10 comfortably with 2 living areas that would make a perfect getaway. On the main level is 2 bedrooms and a full bath with a family room for the kids or guests and a covered patio. On the upper level is a master bedroom and bathroom with an open kitchen and family room with exposed beams. The family room has plenty of room for everyone to enjoy the lake. When you walk out onto the covered deck you can enjoy nature with awesome lake views. You are just a few steps to the water with a year round floating dock with a jet ski port. You even have a cemented golf car path to the dock.

Triple Creek Farm is on the banks of Talladega Creek overlooking the historic Waldo Covered Bridge and old grist mill. Gold used to be mined in the local area and many modern day prospectors come from far and wide to pan Talladega Creek for gold. The farm is 20 acres of oaks, dogwoods, pines and wildflowers surrounded by the Talladega National Forest, with no neighbors in sight! It is nestled in the foothills of the Appalachians at the base of Cheaha Mountain.

You may want to spend your days fishing or tubing the creek or exploring the incredible spring display of wildflowers such as trillium, wild geranium and red buckeye. Perhaps you would enjoy mountain biking the miles of Talladega National Forest roads or the Chief Ladiga Rail Trial near by. Love hiking and backpacking, the Pinhoti Trail, the longest trail in Alabama, is just 2 miles away. Maybe you are a road biker and want to climb from Waldo up to the highest point in Alabama, Mt Cheaha. You can ride your bike out of the Triple Creek Farm drive way and do this.

Just a few miles away is Majestic Caverns Park, where you can explore a deep underground cave, and spend the day enjoying their many family fun activities.

Waldo is just outside the Talladega city limits. Talladega is home to the historic Ritz Theater and the annual April in Talladega pilgrimage of homes. So much fun to choose from... but, perhaps you just look forward to relaxing on the big front screened porch watching birds. Go for a walk and watch the lazy creek roll by.

Many folks tell me of the nostalgia of the old train that passes by several times a day. And kids get excited to see it. If you are a light sleeper and not a fan of trains, I provide earplugs and sound machines in the bedrooms.

Then, of course, if you are a Nascar fan... Waldo is just down the road (about 20 miles) from the Talladega Superspeedway! Planning to come to Dega to drive a race car on the fastest track in all the land? After a fast paced day of racing, come stay in the country and relax!

- "This is our second stay here, we love it! It’s so quiet and easy to unplug from our electronics and enjoy the peace and quiet. The creek is great and the kids enjoyed playing and exploring in it. It’s great that they provide everything! Games, movies, fire pit, grill, pictures of what you’ll see around the area and so much more! There is a train that goes past that may turn some people off but ear plugs and noise machines are provided in all the bedrooms so we were not bothered by them. The cabin has two bedrooms, one and a half bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen. It is located by a small creek and borders the Talladega National Forest. The porches at night siting and listening to the sounds of nature and the creek was breath taking. Out of all the vacation rentals we have used this is by far the best we have had. The space
The Merrimac house is a 3br/2ba brick rancher that has completely updated With a new metal roof, all new windows, all new flooring and all new oil rubbed bronze lighting and plumbing fixtures. It has a nice living room with a couch, loveseat and recliner with a 55” smart Tv And is open to the kitchen with bright white cabinets, comes with all kitchen appliances including refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, microwave and coffee pot. It also has a nice pantry and a table with up to six chairs with the leaf put in and a nice size laundry room with washer, dryer, ironing board and iron.
All three bedrooms have fresh paint and carpet and the master bedroom has a queen bed with nightstand, a nice TV stand with an electric fireplace with a 40 inch smart TV and has its own private bathroom with a completely tiled walk-in shower, new vanity, and new toilet. The second bedroom features a queen size poster bed with two nightstands and a chest with a 40 inch smart TV and the third bedroom features a full over twin trundle bed with a 40 inch smart TV and the chest inside the closet. It has a really nice and level fenced in backyard with plenty of room for the children to play.

Mr. Lagarde owned a concrete company, and used his company's materials to build these solid, everlasting apartment buildings. The Neighborhood:
Being located in historic East Anniston you are near shopping and restaurants. You are within minutes of Noble St. where you will find bars and upscale eateries and 5-10 minutes from the Oxford exchange and the Quintard Mall. You are also just minutes away from the Regional Medical Center.

The complex is safe and there is a designated parking space for you. The building is historic and our unit has been outfitted with more modern appliances but still has most of the original characteristics of its time period.

There is a dedicated parking space for apartment C8. Visitor parking is available if you need more than one space.

The TV in the apartment is a Smart TV with a Roku device. Feel free to use the free Roku app to watch movies and shows or login to your personal Netflix, Hulu, etc. to watch your favorite shows. There is no cable access.

This is a 3rd floor apartment in an apartment complex. The building was built in the 40's. There is no elevator.

Interaction with Guests:
Although you'll have complete privacy while you're here, Chris and Cameron are available by Airbnb message, should any issues come up. There are two full-time maintenance workers who will promptly take care of any issues in the apartment.

Cheaha is located on the southernmost tip of the Appalachian Mountains and may just be one of the most unique parks in US. It contains 2,799 acres of granite boulders along with wind-warped trees, 2,407 feet above sea level. You can literally keep your head in the clouds and explore all the land has to offer, including the 392,567 acres of the Talladega National Forest, as well as 7,245 acres of Cheaha Wilderness.

- "We stayed in a Timberline glamping tent for the first time overnight and it was absolutely perfect. We brought six kids and several activities. We grilled hamburgers and hot dogs. A pop up cloud came and it came a downpour. The tent didn’t budge an inch. The bath houses were only a short walk away. The AC and fans worked perfectly. It felt just like we were in a normal climate controlled room (and it was 90 degrees outside). No bugs came in at all. Absolutely amazing experience that the kids will remember for a long time. This was one of the kids first ever spend the night away from home also. We look forward to spending several nights at the Timberline Orange Beach location in a couple of weeks. Need a Place to unwind and relax? Disconnect. No houses in sight of our Waldo Cabin. Walk down a shady lane to Talladega Creek where you can enjoy wading or fishing. The historic Waldo Covered Bridge is just below the cabin spanning the creek. Prospectors pan for gold in the creek.
The farm is 20 acres of trees and wildflowers surrounded by the Talladega National Forest. Mt. Cheaha, the highest point in AL is just up the road. Pinhoti Trail is 2 miles away. Chief Ladiga biking trail is nearby.

The space
Maggie lived here while teaching at the Alabama School for the Deaf and raised her daughter riding horses, milking goats, and gathering eggs! Come enjoy a few days of disconnecting from the craziness of the world and step back into country life! We do have wifi now!
Waldo is just outside the Talladega city limits. Talladega is home to the historic Ritz Theater and the annual April in Talladega pilgrimage of homes. So much fun to choose from... but, perhaps you just look forward to relaxing on the big front screened porch watching birds. Go for a walk and watch the lazy creek roll by. Many folks tell me of the nostalgia of the old train that passes by occasionally. And kids get excited to see it.

Then, of course, if you are a Nascar fan... Waldo is just down the road (about 20 miles) from the Talladega Superspeedway! Planning to come to Dega to drive a race car on the fastest track in all the land? After a fast paced day of racing, come stay in the country and relax!
There is a full kitchen, but if you'd rather not cook, hop in the car and run to Talladega, 6 miles or Oxford, 20 miles, for a selections of restaurants, shops and movie theaters.
