At this price range there is nothing to complaint even though the house is a bit old. We think host can improve by asking their cleaner to mob the floor better, its very dusty and switch to newer comforter. Host is very attentive and thoughtful. We came during the storm and he gave us 2 umbrella. Each room has 2 set of bath towels. Bathroom is clean, bed is clean, AC run cold. Parking on the street is first come first serve, this street is pack alll the time so you better park at the closest cross street then walk to the house. Take roughly 20-25m to reach downtown. rules may result in fines and/or termination of your reservation without a

1. No parties or unapproved guests - Only registered guests may access the property. Parties, gatherings, and group events are strictly prohibited.

2. No additional visitors - Only those listed on the reservation may enter the property. Any additional visitors must be declared and pre-approved.

3. Respect quiet hours - Keep noise levels down, especially between 10:00 PM - 8:00 AM. Failure to respect quiet hours or disturbances from an unauthorized gathering will result in termination of the reservation without refund and may result in additional fines to pay city tickets or HOA fines for violations.

4. Check-out on time - Please vacate the unit and return any issued keys by the agreed check-out time. Late check-outs will incur a $250 fee.

5. No smoking - Smoking of any kind is prohibited inside the unit and on the building premises. Evidence of smoking, including odor, will result in a $500 remediation charge. Local laws also prohibit smoking within 15 feet of any entrance.

6. Lockouts & lost keys - A $150 lockout fee applies per occurrence. Lost keys or remotes will incur a $50 replacement fee each.

7. Lost & found - We are not responsible for lost items. If something is left behind, we will attempt to locate it and ship it at your expense. Please check all drawers and closets before departure.

This apartment is in the the lower level of a 1920s Chicago bungalow. It was renovated in a more modern look, but we are new owners and have decided to slowly decorate it and experiment. We like to do decorative wall designs and will be changing the space gradually over time. If you'd like to see this process, check in once a month and see if we've updated the pictures!

There is a private entrance in the lower level that will have a code locked door and your room will have its own separate code lock door.

During your stay
During your stay, there may be another guest in the other room and sometimes we may come down to use the laundry facilities. But other than that the lower level basement unit is not occupied.

Parking – Street parking may be available but is not guaranteed. Read all posted signs to avoid tickets or towing. To secure a spot, use parking apps like SpotHero or ParkWhiz.

City Noise – Some ambient noise is part of city living.

Please respect our home and neighbors. Violations of ANY of the following rules may result in fines and/or termination of your reservation without a refund.

* No parties or unapproved guests – Only registered guests may access the property. Parties, gatherings, and group events are strictly prohibited.
* No additional visitors – Only those listed on the reservation may enter the property. Any additional visitors must be declared and pre-approved.
* Respect quiet hours – Keep noise levels down, especially between 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM. Failure to respect quiet hours or disturbances from an unauthorized gathering will result in termination of the reservation without refund and may result in additional fines to pay city tickets or HOA fines for violations.
* Check-out on time – Please vacate the unit and return any issued keys by the agreed check-out time. Late check-outs will incur a $250 fee.
* No smoking – Smoking of any kind is prohibited inside the unit and on the building premises. Evidence of smoking, including odor, will result in a $500 remediation charge. Local laws also prohibit smoking within 15 feet of any entrance.
* Lockouts & lost keys – A $150 lockout fee applies per occurrence. Lost keys or remotes will incur a $50 replacement fee each.
* Lost & found – We are not responsible for lost items. If something is left behind, we will attempt to locate it and ship it at your expense. Please check all drawers and closets before departure.

* Guest verification – To comply with legal and security requirements, you may need to sign a rental agreement, provide a government-issued photo ID, confirm your contact details, and submit a selfie matching your ID.

This apartment is in the the lower level of a 1920s Chicago bungalow. It was renovated in a more modern look, but we are new owners have decided to slowly decorate it and experiment. we like to do decorative wall designs and will be changing the space gradually over time. Guest access
Guests can use any part except the other bedrooms because they are private rooms. The living room, dining room and kitchen and bathroom are community areas and longer term stays get access to washer and dryer.

During your stay
We let you take the lead. We will say hello if we run into each other in the yard or if we need to do laundry because the laundry is located in the lower level. We live in the top two floors and will not come down much.

Other things to note
If one room is booked already by one gender we will only rent that other room to the same gender as there are shared spaces.

May be different pets on the premises. We love animals so we often have our friends various pets at our house when they're out of town.

We also TRYING to grow a garden and we are beginners at this. If you have knowledge we would love to hear it. Please do not disrupt anything. If you do want anything, if it's ripe, please ask first before you take anything.

we share our front rooms, backyard, and basement laundry room. you are nestled very safely in our attic. you walk from the entry to the second floor landing to a lockable door. we have a sound/ privacy barrier so that our two family bedrooms are private. you will see us often in the kitchen if you need to use the rear entrance. I try not to talk your ear off, but I will usually say hi. my husband is home less frequently and he might tell you a silly dad joke, but he tends to keep quiet.

please watch carefully for our escape artist cat who wishes to live in the backyard, but we don't want eaten by the owls and coyotes.

Other things to note
there are a lot of stairs. it has been difficult for some older guests and dogs.

we live in the home. we are quite global and environment minded. it is a divisive time in the nation, so we discourage divisive talk. if you need a sounding board for such discussions, please consider another place.

we tolerate smoking outside on the front porch, and some discreet Marijuana use. we ask you to be thoughtful about neighbor's children and their exposure. our front porch is a comfortable, quiet place to sit and reflect at night. please enjoy a drink or smoke there.

have a drinks and late night in the living room with guests. it is more sound proofed.

if you are young or unfamiliar with the area, let us know if you might be out all night. we just like to watch for your safety. call us 24 hours a day for help.

Check out our garden apartment on the border of Logan Square & Humboldt Park! It's right off the 606 Trail (which will lead you east to Bucktown & Wicker Park). Also, it is a short walk to either Humboldt Park or Logan Square. The layout - 1 spacious bedroom, full kitchen, private entrance, dining area and more. We're close to the Blue Line, so it's convenient to get here from O'Hare, & to the Loop!

Between the entrance and the garden apartment is a laundry room that is accessible during stay. Upon opening the apartment door, you'll walk into the living room, with a Smart TV and an open concept that connects the space to the kitchen and the bathroom. The space
The apartment was completely renovated within the last few years and is located on the second floor of a four story century old vintage brick building, locally known as a four flat. Redone in the style of a "soft loft" the unit has 10 foot ceilings, spiral duct work, newly refinished hardwood maple floors and an exposed brick wall in the kitchen. This bedroom is one of three in the apartment and has a extra long twin bed, a desk, a closet and additional storage in a small dresser. The apartment is shared- at a maximum - with two others. Each guest has their own bedroom. Each bedroom door has a keyed lock. The bedrooms are small but the apartment is large, open and bright. The storage in the bedroom is not cluttered with other people's belongings. It's empty and entirely available for your use.
