Hello Travelers! All are welcome to stay in our guest home in lovely Pacific Palisades, nestled between Malibu and Santa Monica. Our home is a five minute walk from hiking trails leading to the Santa Monica Mountains, a 10 minute walk to the Palisades Village and a 15 minute walk to the beach! Stay and enjoy the California Life!

Guests will have full privacy as they relax in this peaceful space. There is a driveway with both pathway and stairs that leads from the street to the back guest home. The guest home can comfortably accommodate up to Three guests -- 1 queen sized bed (sleeps two) and 1 leather sofa (sleeps one). The bathroom has a stand-up shower, toilet, and sink, along with complimentary shampoo/conditioner, towels, and other accessories with one step to get into bathroom, and another step to access the toilet. The kitchen space has granite and porcelain countertops with island space for work or eating, as well as an electric cooktop with hood vent, stainless steel appliances (toaster oven, kettle, coffee pot, mini-fridge, etc.), and table ware. In addition, the space includes cabinet space, dressers for clothing, USB charging stations, a wall-mounted 4K HDR flat screen TV (DirecTV Satellite, Roku, Amazon FireStick, etc.), and Wi-Fi.

Ample free parking is available on the street. Please do not block driveways. Bus stop just around the corner that can get you all over LA.

We expect all guests to keep the shared spaces clean and tidy. Guests will be able to lock the home to ensure privacy and safety. This space is not suitable for infants and small children. Also, there is a small dog on the premises. The backyard and patio are shared spaces. Absolutely no smoking on the premises.

Please note per LA home sharing ordinance, our guesthouse is for maximum 2 adults and any other guest must be under 18 years old. This guest can sleep in our very comfortable leather couch.

If guests need to borrow anything (power converters, toiletries that were forgotten at home, etc.) please feel free ask, and we may be able to supply you with what you need.

To ensure proper cleaning and preparation of the guesthouse for the next reservation, we have a strict check-out time. Any guest that has not checked out by 11 am PST is subject to a $20 late check-out fee.

For safety and security there are external security cameras around the property, never facing the guesthouse.

The first day we arrived rosy greeted us with a warm welcome and a plethora of snacks and drinks.check in was easy and the instructions are straight forward. Everything was clean. The place is big enough for about 2 people any more than that and it would feel a little crowded. There were plates,cups and utensils for us to use which came in handy. Interaction with Guests

We know that everyone is concerned about safety these days, so we personally cleaned and sanitized the rooms. We keep a pretty tight safety protocol because we visit my elderly parents and our grandchildren regularly. So, our guests don't see much of us during their stay, but they are always free to text us with questions and needs. .
Our guests are given all of the privacy they desire. We will be in the house during their stay to respond to any needs, but we wish our guests a delightfully private experience of the canyon and we enjoy our privacy too! An especially designed guestbook will provide wireless internet access codes, as well as maps and details about local attractions, beaches, restaurants, clubs, art galleries and museums.

The Neighborhood

Our home is situated on five acres so our nearest neighbor is acres away! There are no street lights in Topanga so the nights are filled with the stars, the rising and setting moon. Topanga is well known for its quiet and tranquil beauty. A perfect getaway for city dwellers that need a break!

Getting Around

Guests will need to rent a car to get around our private paradise, but we will provide excellent maps and listings of local attractions, beaches, restaurants, entertainment, and art galleries and museums.

Everything was as described, beautiful room, comfy beds etc. the rooms were very clean, lovely windows and sliders for fresh air. My husband needed to work a bit & there was a desk in one of the rooms and he also worked on the patio, wifi was fantastic! The highlight for us was the private outdoor space that overlooked the canyon. We loved having our coffee on the patio ( which was provided every morning & delicious) and spending our evenings sipping a glass of wine . This incredible two story cabin in the heart of Topanga is for nature lovers. It has a lovely outside covered deck which feels like you are floating in an oak forest. You are fully immersed in nature in this unique home, but with all modern amenities. Enjoy the creek below and hiking trails throughout the property.

This charming wooden cottage with a lovely outside covered deck feels like you are floating in an oak forest. You'd never know you were anywhere near a city. Amenities include: stainless steel sink and counter, refrigerator, butcher block chopping area in the kitchenette as part of an outdoor dining area and an inside living room. The downstairs features a newly installed Brazilian Cumaru hardwood floor which, believe it or not, came from Jennifer Aniston's home! There is a queen size bed downstairs.

DISCLAIMER: This is quite different from staying in an ordinary hotel. We are really in NATURE here - these are older cottages hand-built by artists in the forest. They are very rustic! It's like living in a mountain village, with other cottages nearby. While we work very hard to keep our places pristine and spotless - if anyone in your party will faint if they see a bug or lizard or little frog inside - then this probably isn't the place for you. Please be very careful booking cottages for someone else - like your parents just arriving from another continent - they might prefer something more conventional.

Some folks describe our places as a luxurious form of camping. We make our cottages very comfortable - they have all the basics - electricity - wifi - most have kitchens, bath or shower and comfy clean beds. But they are not like a hotel with perfect walls and a sterile atmosphere. Please look at all the pictures and read all the reviews. We can't offer refunds just because we don't meet the standards of a normal hotel. Most people are charmed by this idyllic and bohemian lifestyle - but it's not for everyone.

You can hike, mountain bike, do horseback riding or sit at a outside fire in the evening. The landscape is amazing and you will not believe that this is part of Los Angeles. We drive to work every day to Santa Monica, driving along the beaches on the PCH the famous Pacific Coast Highway passing the ocean, seeing dolphins & seals and fish hunting pelicans.

TOPANGA - the place of the people - is an amazing place to be in this world. This little bohemian town is nestled in the Santa Monica Mountains and was muse to many famous artists and musician and writers ( some still living here ). Elysium fields and Rodeo grounds were in a less than a 3 mile radius from here.

Space:
The guesthouse is like a Studio apartment (this is part of our house , but there are no joining walls to any living areas )and accommodates 2 comfortably.The guesthouse is located on the lower level of our property and has its one entrance from the driveway via a ' grand staircase' ( 10 wide long steps) to the lower yard. It is partly located under the end of on of our decks in the main house. It is one room with a huge California King bed ( Organic futon & bedding), it has a kitchenette with refridgerator, 4 burner stove top, Microwave with integrated oven. Table and chairs inside and outside. The bathroom is small but a has a beautiful pebble shower with stones from the beach. There is lots of outdoors space as well.It is very private. If you travel with kids we could provide a baby-crib or a roll away.

Pets are ok as long as they are kids friendly.We do have 2 very friendly black Labradors in the main house.

This charming cabin is decorated in French style. In the living space, there is an open plan vaulted ceiling living room with piano, fireplace and full kitchen with all amenities. The Historic 1914 Stone Cabin is a lovely mix of antique and modern, nestled in the mountains with surrounding lush woodlands, creeks, and nearby hiking trails.

There is a beautiful view of the canyon in the daytime and an abundance of stars at night. A fire is permitted ONLY in the LIVING ROOM - please bring your own supplies. **Please note that using the fireplace in the BEDROOM is NOT PERMITTED as it's not functional.

The unit is completely self contained and private but please note there are two other apartments surrounding the cabin which have their own private entrances and amenities.

We have a brand new wireless router with extremely fast WIFI at 150mb per sec. We also have a new, very reliable tankless hot water heater that never runs out of hot water for the bath/shower..

We provide all basic needs except toiletries.

You will be nestled in a 13 acre mountain village with other cottages, forests and mountain views. You’d never know you were anywhere near a city!

Visiting this property is a very unique experience, some describe it as “glamorous camping”. No extensive photo taking, NO PARTIES, NO LOUD MUSIC, quiet time after 9pm, Dogs are welcome for a $18 fee per pet, per night. Cats are not okay for their own safety and allergy restrictions. This unique Mermaid themed suite has 2 beds, and 1 full bathroom. Downstairs, you'll find spacious living quarters with a queen-sized bed and living room that includes dining room seating. Venture up the spiral staircase to the loft to find the 2nd bedroom nook (bed is queen sized). Additionally, there are lovely private trails and creeks on the property for you to explore the lush land. We're a short distance from public hikes, nature reserves and Topanga town, only 2 minutes down the road.

This artistic space features hand drawn fantasy murals and a colorfully tiled shower and bath from the original owners of this historic Topanga property. A generous downstairs living/sleeping room is topped off by a gold spiral staircase which leads up to a small extra loft bedroom. Enjoy the A/C unit located in the loft on hot summer days. There is a mini fridge and kitchenette, featuring a microwave, toaster oven, hot water kettle and a Keurig coffee maker in the hallway. This area is private. It is not shared. Just outside is a table and chair set for taking in the stunning mountain view and soaking up the sun.

WARNING the entrance corridor to the Mermaid Suite is an artistic rendering of a deep sea mermaid’s lair. Do not be alarmed- the main room is through the door to the left. The Creekside Trailer is your perfect escape. This is a truly "Topangan" guest house that uses hippie inspired creativity that made the 1960’s the magical era that they were.

Part 1950's Pontiac vintage trailer, part "tree house". We’re situated on a seasonal creek making this home a one of a kind getaway experience.
The magical space is a climate controlled tiny home which includes a great room with a twin sized day bed that boasts floor to ceiling windows overlooking the seasonal creek , a compact full functioning kitchen with a built in dining area, a cozy sleeping cabin with a full size memory foam bed, and finally a full sized bathroom with plenty of hot water for a shower/tub and a bidet toilet.

The Creekside Trailer is centrally located to the heart of Topanga with dining local favorites like The Inn of the Seventh Ray and Canyon Bistro just a quick walk away.

We’re also steps away from the Topanga State Park trailheads making your getaway activities such as hiking or mountain biking so much easier since you can leave your car parked next to the house and enjoy all that Topanga Canyon has to offer.

Finally, the Creekside Trailer is extremely private but on a shared property with the main house. The dedicated entry path leads you to the trailer and once you're settled in; fences, landscaping, trellises and the seasonal creek will make you feel as if you're the only people here.

Nestled in the hills of Topanga State Park, this magical cabin is the perfect escape. Originally used at the turn of the last century as a lodge, the cabin offers a cozy charm with modern, inviting decor and energy. The perfect spot for a romantic weekend or a writers retreat.
The cabin backs up to the park, and is a jumping off point to endless hikes and stunning views of the canyon and the Pacific Ocean, which is just a ten minute drive down the hill.
This is a much loved home away from home.

This original Topanga cabin has been reimagined to welcome you in to a truly special retreat. Much love has gone in to all of the details, and we hope you find it the ideal getaway.

**Please note at the moment the lower section of Topanga Canyon Blvd is blocked and there is no direct access from PCH driving north on Topanga Canyon Blvd to the house. There are 3 routes still available to reach our property:
1. From the 101 driving south onto Topanga Canyon Blvd
2. From PCH you can go north on Los Flores Canyon Blvd to where it meets up with Topanga Canyon Blvd
3. (Only from our house to PCH) Take Topanga Canyon Blvd south to Tuna Canyon Rd to PCH

Enjoy a cozy studio unit newly remodeled and furnished as of 2019. Please note, this cabin and the surrounding outdoor area is surrounded by fencing, but there are 2 other cabins on the property.

Enjoy the full kitchen with everything you need to cook at home. Bar seating for two at the kitchen counter plus a cozy corner nook with custom bench seating. Or enjoy the yard or patio under the oak trees with views of the Topanga hillside.

Guests have private access to all spaces shown in the photos. The Crystal Cabin is enclosed by a fence, so the outdoor seating, hammock, front of the building, and all indoor spaces are exclusively for you. The washer/dryer is shared with the "Chime House" next door.

Our manager Sara is always available for any questions, and eager to provide the best stay possible.

Topanga is perfectly located just far enough outside of LA to feel like you're in a different world than the bustling city, but close enough that you can drive to Santa Monica in twenty minutes, or Universal Studios in under thirty minutes.
The house is just off of the main road, so a quick trip to any of the charming coffee shops and breakfast/lunch/dinner spots nearby, as well as the town center. And if you don't want to leave because you're so cozy, you can now even order delivery from Postmates.
The beach is just down the hill, and is a surfer's destination, so if that's your thing, this is a great spot.
And of course, the miles and miles of hikes just out the back door make this spot an ideal destination for the adventurous.

I really enjoyed relaxing on the hammock, looking up at the majestic trees surrounding the cabin. Sara, the property manager, is wonderful. She provided excellent directions, including a heads up about the steep driveway. She was very responsive and even offered a great recommendation for sunset viewing areas. The location is perfect, very close to the beach. The main entrance to Topanga State Park is just down the road, or you can hike up behind the cabin if you like. Would definitely stay here again!"

The Unique Treehouse Oasis is nestled in an old oak tree overlooking a seasonal waterfall. The Treehouse is build in the tree but also resting on the ground so you have easy access from the ground over a little bridge. It sits on top of the seasonal waterfall cliff. It is a rustic bohemian tiny house with an outdoor bathroom, a deck and an outside BBQ area giving you a unique out of this world experience while still being in Los Angeles. It invites you to unplug and get inspired by nature.

I appreciated her preparation emails sent in advance, advising me on how to get there, where to park, and how things worked. This is a perfect location to unplug and enjoy a nature experience!"

Guests enjoy one bedroom with queen-size bed of luxurious memory foam mattress and a second bedroom with a full-size quality Sealy Pillow-Top mattress; large fully furnished private patio; and bathroom with extra-large shower. double sinks, and skylight. One room includes a 39" HD television and DVD player with choice of hundreds of films from our library, and a mini fridge, wine glasses and bottle opener for your favorite bottle of wine. We do not provide kitchen access to our guests but I personally present coffee and tea service each morning. A stunning and comfortable get-away in the quiet beauty of the Canyon! El matador is a gorgeous beach with natural arches for a timeless California beach day, as well as Leo Carillo state beach.

in Topanga we recommend the Inn of the Seventh Ray, Hidden Treasures (super funky vintage shop) and the lovely waterfall @ Jalan Jalan imports, all only a few minutes drive.

Amazingly it's less than a twenty minute drive to Santa Monica (10 fwy), Malibu or Calabasas (101 fwy), and half hour to Hollywood & downtown la.

Topanga means "above the clouds". High up in the heavenly SM mountains! Friendly dogs are most welcome! Enjoy your morning coffee/tea, or a glass of wine at dusk with spectacular mountain views from your own private deck just outside your room, a separate small apt. 1 block from the trailhead or a 10 min drive to Topanga St. Pk. (no dogs allowed in TSP!) NOTE: We are at the northern side of the canyon and were not impacted by the January 2025 wildfires. It is green & lovely up here right now!

Our studio apartment is clean, neat, tidy, colorful, rustic and comfortable. This is Topanga....we are outside in the country and our doors are wide open most of the time, so if you are looking for a bit of paradise hiding in the middle of LA County, this may be the perfect place for you! Wake up to the roosters crowing and the birds chirping! Go to sleep listening to the owls hooting and the frogs croaking! Maybe even hear the coyotes howling during the night!!!
NOTE: There is no maid service during your stay however extra sheets and towels are provided for guest's use.

All common areas of yard on first floor level adjacent to unit. There are four stairs up to the entrance of the space. There are two stairs from the parking level down to the pathway to the space.

Other things to note
The Highway #27 between the village and PCH is recently reopened (sometimes with restrictions during certain nighttime hours - this is constantly changing so be sure to check updated road conditions) after recent long-time closures due to mudslides after the Jan. wildfires. (Fires did not reach our area, nor come close to us). There is also easy direct access to our place and all the businesses in the canyon from the valley (North) side of the mountain, off the #101 freeway. Cell phone usage is sketchy at best up here when you are driving around. Once you are here however, we do have a verizon booster so if you are on verizon, you will be fine and of course we have good WIFI. Also, there are NO STREET LIGHTS up here at all, so if it is your first time in Topanga Canyon and you plan to arrive after dark, just know it may take you a bit longer as you navigate our curving roads. This space is underneath the main house which is on the second floor so you will sometimes hear both canine and human activity, smell our cooking or hear our music/TV. NOTE: GUEST'S DOGS MAY NEVER BE LEFT IN THE UNIT OR THE YARD/GARDEN UNATTENDED. Be sure to enter and exit driveway to eastern side of the driveway (closest to the mailbox) as the curb is higher on the western side and we want to protect the undercarriage of your vehicle. NOTE: There are no windows in the unit, only glass doors. There is central air and heat and a portable fan and space heater. IF you do use the fan or heater please be sure to unplug other appliances first otherwise you may flip the circuit breakers. Should this happens, just let us know and will flip them for you after you unplug the extra items.
It gets bright and light in the mornings in this unit which is east and south facing even with the shade down and curtains drawn, so if you are someone who likes a darker room in the morning, we recommend you bring a sleep mask with you.
Note: We are way up in the mountains and are not walking distance to the Village so you likely will need a car or at least a bicycle.

The space
This charming wooden cottage with a lovely outside covered wooden deck feels like you are floating in an oak forest. Two creeks meet down below. This unique cottage was actually taken from a Japanese Gardens, and re-constructed here. The upstairs has a large bed and is very spacious, with the lovely rafters nearby overhead. There is a second bed downstairs which accompanies a wrap around couch and table.

Amenities included: highspeed WIFI, separate private bath with a tankless water heater that never runs out of hot water, full kitchen, 2 x queen beds, large sofa and many windows!

We provide all basic needs except toiletries. There is a French press and hot water kettle inside the unit.


Although very private, this cottage is located in a retreat type property minutes from the center of Topanga, CA. Here you'll have plenty of privacy, peace and quiet to enjoy nature- you'd never know you were anywhere near Los Angeles. The downstairs features a Brazilian Cumuru hardwood floor which, believe it or not, came from Jennifer Aniston's home!

While we work very hard to keep our places pristine and spotless - if anyone in your party will faint if they see a bug or lizard, mouse or little frog inside, some dust or a spider web - then this probably isn't the place for you. Please be very careful booking cottages for someone else - like your parents just arriving from another continent - they might prefer something more conventional.

Some folks describe our places as a luxurious form of camping. We make our cottages very comfortable - they have all the basics - electricity - wifi - most have kitchens, bath or shower and comfy clean beds. But they are not like a hotel with perfect walls and a sterile atmosphere. Please look at all the pictures and read all the reviews. We can't offer refunds just because we don't meet the standards of a normal hotel. Most people are charmed by this idyllic and bohemian lifestyle - but it's not for everyone.

It is highly recommended that you have a car to get around. We are nestled in the middle of Old Topanga Canyon.
Los Angeles and it’s surrounding areas have great public transportation and Uber and Lyft do come in and out of the canyon but a car is a must given our proximity to outside areas.

Public transportation within 1 min walk, will get you anywhere in town in no time.

Basic essentials (shampoo, paper towels, toilet papers, etc.) are supplied for the first week of your stay. You must replenish them if you are staying for a longer time period.

Clean towels and sheets are provided. We can provide a total cleaning of your unit, including new sheets, towels, and the essentials, for a fee equal to the original cleaning fee. Let us know if you wish to use that option please.

We can do this weekly, biweekly or anytime you wish. You must request this service in writing and pay the fee before it is done.

The space
In our guesthouse, you will be centrally located to many outdoor activities and local attractions. Take a hike down the Topanga State park that starts right at the doorsteps of the house. Take a short drive and hike to Labyrinth at Tuna Canyon, go horseback riding at Old Topanga 5mins away, bike along the Topanga Canyon blvd, grab lunch at Topanga's signature Cafe Mimosa or Cafe 27, or dine at the elegant Inn of the Seventh Ray - all only a couple of minutes away from the house. The infamous Topanga Beach is only 6 minutes away drive, and Saturday Farmer's market at Calabasas is 12 mins away.

We are in the midst of State Park and wildlife happens right outside of the house: read bobcats, coyotes, deers, snakes, spiders, mice, and ants. If you leave doors open the wildlife may sneak into the house.

Guesthouse parking is located on a private road - you will have to drive 0.1 mi uphill on an unpaved road and park your car. If you're uncomfortable with driving and parking on such a road - please don't book our place.

We don't have a sewage system in Topanga and we kindly ask our guests to throw used toilet paper in the designated trash bins (which we empty into compost as they fill up during your stay).

The guesthouse has two levels: a bedroom on the second floor and a Kitchenette with the bathroom - on the first. They get connected via a treehouse-like ladder, that you have to climb quite often during your stay. If you're uncomfortable about climbing pretty steep stair, please don't book our place.

The guesthouse shares a wall with the main house on the first floor (where the kitchenette and bathroom are). We have small kids in the main house that may occasionally and uncontrollably produce noise. If this may bother you please don't book our place.

You’ll have full, private access to the guesthouse during your stay. This includes the bedroom, kitchenette, bathroom, and a secluded back porch where you can relax and enjoy the canyon views. The guesthouse has its own private entrance, so you can come and go as you please. The lower floor has a full bathroom with a clawfoot bathtub facing a large alcove window overlooking the oak trees. The walls of the bathroom are lined with cedar. It's a heavenly experience.

There are stairs to climb between the 3 floors! If you aren't comfortable climbing stairs this isn't the place for you.

Visiting this property is a very unique experience, some describe it as “glamorous camping”. NO CANDLES, SAGE, INCENSE, or other BURN MATERIALS, we are in a FIRE ZONE. No photoshoots or parties allowed without prior arrangement. Dogs are allowed for a $18 fee per night, per pet. Cats are NOT permitted for their own safety and allergy restrictions. Dogs are not permitted to be left unattended during your stay. If it causes a disturbance, a $25 fine will be implemented.

The Dragonfly House is the newest and most refined of our places. However, this is quite different from staying in an ordinary hotel. We are really in NATURE here - these cottages are hand-built by artists in the forest. They are very rustic! It's like living in a mountain village, with other cottages nearby. While we work very hard to keep our places pristine and spotless - if anyone in your party will faint if they see a bug or lizard, mouse or little frog inside, some dust or a spider web - then this probably isn't the place for you. Please be very careful booking cottages for someone else - like your parents just arriving from another continent - they might prefer something more conventional.

Some folks describe our places as a luxurious form of camping. We make our cottages very comfortable - they have all the basics - electricity - WIFI - most have kitchens, bath or shower and comfy clean beds. But they are different from hotel.

Gorgeous place in the hills, had a very relaxing stay here after a busy two weeks around California! We could hear the frogs and the birds late at night, the stars were amazing and yet we were only 20 minutes away from the beach. Highly recommend!

This place is super cute! Very peaceful, in the midst of the most beautiful trees. Amazing sound of the birds chirping and frogs from the creek! The layout is super cute and the bathroom is amazing. The kitchen wasn’t super equipped and you do need to go outside to get access the bedroom and shower from the living room but the surroundings made it more than worth it. Everything was clean and cute!

A lovely escape from the hustle and bustle of LA! The cabin is incredibly unique, peaceful, and was spotlessly clean. Given that the cabin is right next to a creek, we got to fall asleep to the sounds of frogs croaking at night. Overall a wonderful experience and would stay at this location again.

I had the most magical time at the Dragonfly house. I booked it for a solo-getaway to do some writing and find inspiration and it was perfect. I loved the bathroom and taking a bath with such a gorgeous view. It is so quiet, and truly peaceful sitting on the balcony hearing nothing but the creek and frogs in the evenings.

Communication with Fallon was seamless and he was super helpful and responsive. Instructions for arrival and finding the place were super clear.
Topanga is a dream, and I will definitely be back. I hadn't clocked that you need to step outside to reach the different elements of the house so bring slippers :)

I loved the overall vibe, the design, and the bedroom is just gorgeous. Super comfy bed from which you can see the stars. The heaters were great during the chilly nights in early March. I will most definitely be back here - one of a kind experience, wish I'd had more time. 11/10 !

Nature lovers, stay here! This space is in the middle of the canyon among so many trees and a creek runs nearby. Falling asleep and waking up to the sounds of birds, frogs, and nature made me feel like I was in a Disney movie. Expect more than what you see in the pictures. It's hard to capture the beauty of the outdoor deck and bathroom in photos. The clawfoot bath + bathroom views alone were worth the stay. It wasn't as rustic as I was expecting, which was a good thing! Everything was clean and well maintained. While there are other airbnbs on the property, the space does feel very private. Proximity to the shops and restaurants was good, and Fallon was super easy to stay in touch with. This was a great place to rest, relax, and recharge. We will definitely be back!

Kitchen has a fridge, microwave, 4 burner stove and oven, pots and pans and utensils. Everything you need to cook a good meal.

The building is on Haverford Ave., just west of Via De Lapaz (1 min walk).

Minutes drive to UCLA, Century City, Down Town LA, beaches and freeways.

Neighborhood is very safe, very cozy Mediterranean style near ocean village, near all.

Your laundry can be taken care of by a phone call. Details will be provided in the move in instructions.

Public transportation within 1 min walk, will get you anywhere in town in no time.

Basic essentials (paper towels, toilet papers, etc.) are supplied for the first week of your stay. You must replenish them if you are staying for a longer time period.

Clean towels and sheets are provided. We can provide a total cleaning of your unit, including new sheets, towels, and the essentials, for a fee equal to the original cleaning fee. Let us know if you wish to use that option please.

We can do this weekly, biweekly or anytime you wish. You must request this service in writing and pay the fee before it is done.

Once contacted, we are open to children traveling with parents, although there is only one bed. Dogs will be considered so long as they are not aggressive to our cats.

Although the property is on a residential street, it is very much part of the wild land, intermixed with deer, coyotes, and bobcats as well as migrating birds and butterflies.

We provide one designated parking space. A car is somewhat necessary in the mountains. There is a seasonal beach bus which travels along State Route 27, Topanga Canyon Boulevard.
Uber and Lyft are spotted more commonly of late. Buses run along Pacific Coast Highway from Malibu to downtown. The new EXPO train is available is Santa Monica, connecting travelers to many city locations.

Once here, endless hiking and walking possibilities under the oaks and into the chaparral and coastal sage is available on foot. The hosts are well versed in the native habitat here and can advise travelers.

(Feb 2025- The Topanga village and homes were spared from the Palisades fire.) Topanga is a quiet village in the Santa Monica Mountains. Its name means “Where the mountains meet the sea”. We are in an ancient oak forest in beautiful nature just walking distance to Topanga State Park and its hiking trails. It’s only 10 min to the beach/Malibu and 20 min to Santa Monica/Venice or Woodland Hills. The town center with restaurants, grocery stores, gift shops and our library are close.

The space
The house is nestled among oak trees in scenic and historic Topanga Canyon. You will be in the 700+ sqft downstairs of the house. I live upstairs away from the Airbnb space in an attached part of the house. Not above the AirBnb space. Your space including the deck is private and I have my own entrance behind the house. There are two moderate sized bedrooms, with one queen and one California king bed, both with pleasant views and plenty of light. There is one bathroom, a roomy dining/living area, and small but clean and well-lit kitchen. The living/dining area has a couch with a fold out queen bed for additional guests, comfy chairs, a TV, and a dining table with seating for four that can be expanded to 6. The room opens out to a large (1200 sqft), private deck perfect for sunbathing and enjoying wine on a starry night. One of the bedrooms and another entry into the house open out to a brick patio with a table set and greenery. In other words: There are plenty of places to enjoy the surrounding nature!
The kitchen is well stocked and there’s a complimentary bottle of wine and crackers for your arrival. The house is peaceful and meditative, and is a reflection of my life. I lived in Asia for years and the house has a zen, craftsman feel. I've traveled to many other countries, and the house is full of ethnic art I have collected on my travels. My photography is also around the house, as well as music related art, animation cells (I wrote music for the shows including Rugrats, Catdog, Recess, Beakman's World etc...).

Guests have the 700 + sqft. downstairs, which consists of two comfortable bedrooms, a peaceful and airy living/dining area, a galley kitchen and a spacious 1200 sqft. deck and garden patio. I will be in the upstairs which is private and has a separate entrance.

There are a dozen good restaurants, each unique in the food they serve, very reasonable prices, within 1 minute walking distance, in the immediate neighborhood. You will not run out of choices for what you want to eat.

Kitchen has a full size fridge, microwave, 4 burner stove and oven, pots and pans and utensils. Everything you need to cook a good meal.

The building is on Haverford Ave., just west of Via De Lapaz (1 min walk).

Minutes drive to UCLA, Century City, Down Town LA, beaches and freeways.

Neighborhood is very safe, very cozy Mediterranean style near ocean village, near all.

Public transportation within 1 min walk, will get you anywhere in town in no time.

Basic essentials (shampoo, paper towels, toilet papers, etc.) are supplied for the first week of your stay. You must replenish them if you are staying for a longer time period.

Clean towels and sheets are provided. We can provide a total cleaning of your unit, including new sheets, towels, and the essentials, for a fee equal to the original cleaning fee. Let us know if you wish to use that option please.

We can do this weekly, biweekly or anytime you wish. You must request this service in writing and pay the fee before it is done.

Non emergency repair requests during off hours will be attended to on the 1st business day, thereafter.

Walk down the block to sandy beaches of Pacific Plisades, or walk 2 minutes and enjoy the local live theater at Pierson Playhouse. Visit us on July 4th with our quaint parade and enjoy the fireworks at the Palisades High School from your private patio, without getting in your car. Take a drive to Santa Monica's famous Third Street Promenade just 7 minutes away and watch the street performers or see a film. If you want a work out rent a bike and ride from the Palisades all the way to Venice Beach and watch the athletes at Muscle Beach. Go sailing off the coast of Marina Del Rey and catch a glimpse of a dolphin or a whale. Go to Will Rogers for a horse back riding trip or or catch a polo match. Come to the Riviera Country Club for the world famous Northern Trust Open. Spend the day among the rich in Beverly Hills famous Rodeo Drive and pick up a bobble at Cartier to take home as a souvenir.

Drive to Will Rogers Beach and read a book or catch a wave in our beautiful Pacific Ocean. Visit the stunning Getty Villa Museum and catch a show in their beautiful amphitheater. Spend the day at the Getty Museum and drink up the art and have a bite to eat. Go downtown to the Mark Taper, Ahmanson or Dorothy Chandler Pavillion for a wonderful show. Go to Culver City and enjoy a show at the Kirk Douglas Theater. Disneyland and Universal are about 45 minutes to one hour away.

Here you can walk down Temescal Canyon Rd 1 mile to Will Rogers Beach & the PCH. You can walk up Temescal Canyon a few blocks and be at the entrance to one of the top hiking trails / canyons in Los Angeles. The Pacific Palisades village is safe and beautiful and has EVERYTHING you could possibly need. Ralph's Grocery store is close, Gelsons is even closer and there is a CVS right there as well. All of the old tall windows surrounding this place really gave it a "cottage" feel -- so bright and airy! The French Doors to the huge balcony were my favorite feature! ... even got to listen to a football game at Pali High School just a block + away as well as watch sunsets over the Santa Monica Mountains. Lunch at Matthew's Garden Cafè was SUPER yummy -- the place is beyond adorable! I felt like I was lunching in an award winning garden space with all of the trellises and flowers. Being from Minnesota, I am honestly JEALOUS of all the people who live in this PP neighborhood. They are beyond lucky! I felt fancy! The new touristy-y things I tried this year were awesome : Venice Canals (1 of my fave fab surprises in life!!!), Rivas Canyon hiking, Will Rogers State Park (Inspiration Point has an amazing 360 degree view at just 754 feet up!), a day trip to Santa Barbara + some time in Marina Beach! It was a super HOT week on the coast so some time in the Air conditioned rental car was welcomed! Communication at this airbnb with both Amir & Roni was perfect.

The Dream Suite is a glorious space in which to relax in nature. Nestled in Topanga Canyon, with the back drop of the Santa Monica Mountains, this is the perfect place to heal body and soul, and realign with nature. Birdsong is the ambient music you'll hear as you soak in the luxurious copper bathtub, read a book in the comfy loft, or recline in the all-natural, king size bed with organic latex mattress. Pamper yourself in this restorative retreat. Truly a blissful getaway.

The space
We provide an all natural environment, both indoors and out. Our bedding and linens are cotton, and our comforters are natural feather-fill. Our King-sized bed is made from untreated wood, with an organic, 100% natural latex mattress on top. Our rugs are woven cotton. Even the building materials we use are selected from eco-friendly manufacturers. In addition, we use unscented cleaning products made by companies committed to sustainable materials and practices. We also disinfect between guests, using 7th generation, essential oil based disinfection spray, guaranteed to be 99.9% effective.

Please note, our home is situated in a beautiful forest, so we get to enjoy the spectacle of majestic flora and fauna in our surroundings. On the very rare occasion, there could be a spider or other wee woodland friend, indoors. If this happens, they are easily escorted back out, and we are happy to assist if requested. (It is uncommon, but our home is in the woods :)
