It is full of wonderful art; my personal favorite was the huge, medieval city (?) sketch (watercolor?) in the darling studio. The location truly can’t be beat: on a gorgeous, tree-lined, friendly, PEACEFUL street, with a beautiful view at the bay dock - and yet just steps away from multiple good restaurants, and just around the corner from the main drag, with many more restaurants and shops. The host was very easy to communicate with, as was access to the house. One thing I really loved that isn’t mentioned or obvious from the pictures is that the backyard has really good visual privacy. I always feel weird when I’m sitting on a patio and can be seen by neighbors. Not here! FYI to future guests: the second bedroom (with the full-size bed and the futon) - along with the second bathroom with shower stall - is up the stairs in a beautiful, airy, bright loft with no door or walls fully separating it from downstairs. As such, most of the space has decent visual privacy, but not sound privacy, with the downstairs open common area (kitchen, dining, living, foyer, hallway to downstairs primary bedroom). Didn’t bother us but mentioning for those who may need to know."

The updated Circa 1780 House West Room features a comfortable queen-size bed with plenty of pillows and clean linens. Enjoy the ambience of an electric fireplace, which also provides warmth during cooler months. Fresh linens, blankets, and towels are provided for each new guest, along with toiletries, a hairdryer, and an iron with a board.

The room includes a TV with Netflix access, and you can adjust the temperature to your liking with a programmable A/C or use the window fan for fresh air.

Please note that the shared bathroom is for guest use only, and the hosts reside in a separate part of the house.

Accessibility may be a concern, as the rooms are located on the second floor, accessible only by fairly steep stairs, and are not handicapped accessible.

The train passes by six times a day (including early morning hours), and while the firehouse is across the street, it's not very busy, so you may occasionally hear the siren go off between 7 am and 8 pm.

We have a friendly German Shepherd who is still adjusting to having guests and may bark upon your arrival to let us know someone is here. Please rest assured she does not have access to the guest area.

The house has been completely renovated and everything is brand-new.

We have recently added new amenities to the Airbnb rental that you are occupying. In the backyard, the blue garage has been converted to a cabana, which includes two televisions, lounge area with a wet bar, refrigerator, game area for the kids and a home office work station with a full size convertible bed in the cabana section and a queen size futon in the home office work room. Wifi is available in the cabana and office. As a bonus, there is a 5 person jacuzzi outside with complete privacy. (PLEASE NOTE - That the jacuzzi and outdoor BBQ are only accessible from April to November.)

Discover the allure of our Circa 1780 home on the North Fork, designed with comfort in mind. Easy access to local attractions, including dining spots like Love Lane Kitchen, Tulios NY Wine Bar, NoFo DoCo delicious donuts, and Village Cheese Shop. Public transportation is only a block away. Spend your day at local wineries or relax on the front porch. Your stay includes a private King room and a shared guest only bathroom on the second floor. This is a shared space and not suitable for children.

The space
Our Circa 1780 House North Room offers a comfortable King size bed with lots of pillows, and clean linens. An electric fireplace for ambience and or warmth.
A dresser if you’d like to unpack. Please note: there is no closet in this room.
Fresh linens, blankets, towels are set out for every new guest.
Toiletries, hair dryer, iron, and board also available.
TV with Roku HBO, Showtime and Netflix
Programmable A/C to adjust to your desired temperature in the summer, or use the window fan to bring in the fresh air in the warmer weather!
There is a shared bathroom.
Our rooms are not handicapped
accessible. Rooms are located on the second floor accessed only via stairs. These stairs are fairly steep.
There are possible allergens in our home (i.e.: pet dander) please be aware when booking. No pets are allowed in the guest area. Our pets are kept in the main living area of our home.
This is a non-smoking house. Smoking is permitted outside only.

Guest access
Enjoy a cup of coffee, tea or glass of wine on our front porch and watch the world go by. Snacks and waters always available. Mini fridge. Keurig coffee maker.
The room is located on the second floor, accessed only via stairs. Unfortunately, our rooms are not handicapped accessible.
Rooms are private with a privacy lock (not able to be locked from outside) and a shared bathroom is located down the hallway. The bathroom is shared by all guests.
Off premise parking (municipal lot diagonally across the street). Please do not park in the driveway.
There are possible allergens in our home (i.e.: pet dander) although our pets are never in the guest area.

You’ll have access to the front porch but the backyard is fenced in for our dog and ask that you do not enter the backyard.

During your stay
We are always available via phone, text, or email. We live on-premise but are in our own separate living area.

Other things to note
We are located in the hamlet of Mattituck. The train passes by 6 times per day and the firehouse is across the street, although the firehouse is not too busy there is the potential to have the siren go off between the hours of 7 am and 8 pm.

We have a German Shephard that is still getting used to us having guests. You may hear her barking when you enter the house, she is very friendly but likes to let us know when someone arrives. She is not able to access the guest area.

We also recently found out one of our baby chickens is a rooster. He likes to let everyone know he’s around.

We’re a large family and with that also comes some noise.

Front door will be unlocked, so you can let yourself in and find the studio to your right once inside the entry room. There’s a set of keys in a bowl right next to your door, one for your door, one for front door. Guests love to see our chickens in their fenced in yard! Don’t worry if you see one or two outside - Ethel and Carrie like to wander but know how to get back in ;)

Parking is on the driveway in front of your private entrance. There is a creek down the road so feel free to bring bikes or kayaks.

The space
Your private suite with its own entrance is part of our contemporary home in the heart of Greenport Village. Your personal area of the house is separate from ours and completely your own. It includes a comfortable bedroom, a brand new bathroom with a gorgeous shower and Jolie shower head, a spacious entryway, plus a separate coded entrance to come and go as you please, as well as a private outdoor patio space. The guest suite also features a Keurig coffee machine for that first cup of the day, a kettle if you're a tea-drinker, filtered water, plus a built-in mini fridge to keep your rosé suitably chilled. Freshly-laundered towels, clean linens, high-quality toiletries and toilet paper are also provided. You will also have use of wifi, an iron and a hairdryer.

Guest access
Once you key into your suite using the coded lock, you will have access to a delightfully furnished queen-sized bedroom looking out to a private patio, a brand new bathroom with a gorgeous shower, and a spacious entryway area. Your suite is closed off from the rest of the house, affording you a space that is completely your own.

Cozy Village artist's home!Private bedroom w/adjacent private bath. Very comfortable living room, sun room and large backyard. Just a few blocks from "Downtown" Greenport &bay beach at end of street. Location is perfect...just a few short blocks from the Jitney stop +LIRR. In addition, Suffolk County Comptroller's Office requires I collect a 5.5% per night Occupancy Tax from my guests.
