Designed in the 1960s by modernist architect Andrew Geller, this just-renovated house is a well-designed combination of original mid-century accents and modern amenities. Boasting huge windows, cathedral ceilings and new hardwood floors throughout, the house has 2.5 bedrooms, 1.5 baths, a wonderful outdoor shower, a year-round fireplace, a large deck, a twinkly al fresco dining area—and a resident bunny rabbit who comes out at dusk and dawn. The owners made us feel welcome, clearly thought through a lot of the details one would want to feel at home when on vacation. The house has a breezy open feel, with plenty of space for us to all cook and hang out together. (And an amazing kitchen!) We loved how quiet and full of nature the block was, with the pond across the street and a beach just down the road. We weren’t that familiar with the Culloden area and ended up really liking it. Didn’t really have to use the car much as we could walk or bike to the beach and the restaurants by the docks. Can’t wait to come back in the summer and take full advantage of the deck and grill. The location was remote enough to give us a peaceful relaxing environment but close enough to town that we could zip in and out . The access to the beach pass was key so we could access most beaches with no problem . Sitting by the lake at night was serene . If it was a family of four with two small children it would be okay; I wouldn’t recommend it for four adults unless you want close quarters. But, this was one of the better apartments I’ve stayed in. I really appreciated the beachy vibe and how great the owner was with us. Contacted me several times to make sure there was nothing we needed. A definite YES from me! Don’t hesitate to book this room! Everything was clean and well appointed."

Spend your summer at South Lake. This one bedroom, one bath cottage has everything you need for an incredible summer getaway. It's location cannot be beat. South Lake beach is right out your door. A popular place for Stand Up Paddle boarding, incredible sunsets over the lake & a great beach for small children, you won't find yourself fighting over a parking spot because you are just steps away.

Walk over to the Crow's Nest for drinks or dinner. Ride your bike or drive to Ditch Plains. It's only a three minute bike ride. An outside shower offers options for cleaning off after the beach and a pergola sits in the yard with a dining table underneath. There's even a patio with a ping pong table.

Inside, the decor is simple & classic. The whole cottage was refurnished with brand new organic modern furnishings in November of 2021. Wide plank hardwood floors throughout, with white wainscoting & a tranquil grey on the walls. The kitchen is fully stocked & you will find a washer and dryer hidden away in the living room closet. The bedroom has a queen gel memory foam bed & closet, with a dresser and desk with chair. The couch in the living room folds down to become a queen bed, so the house can sleep four guests. This is the perfect getaway for a couple, small family, or a group of friends to enjoy Montauk. There's also plenty of storage if you're spending the entire summer or for an extended winter stay.

Owner Noel Arikian is a local craftsman and artist who can give you excellent advice on restaurants & things to do. He is a wealth of knowledge about Montauk and everything wonderful it has to offer.

Everything you need is offered at sea gulls nest: coffee maker, toaster, blender, hair dryer, iron and linens. All you need is your bathing suit and flip-flops!

The complex offers a swimming pool, hot tub, 5 tennis courts and a private beach on the bay. Or if you prefer, the ocean is only minutes away along with all that montauk has to offer.
