A bath bomb was strategically placed on a nearby table. Perfect! What a joy. Really nice cotton towels. The mattress was very comfortable. Lights and outlets strategically placed - very handy. Refrigerator and microwave worked well. Parking was close and felt very safe - away from the traffic on the highway. The grounds are nicely maintained and there is even a little creek with a sweet bridge. I was there one night and regretted that it could not have been longer. There is plenty of highway noise that could annoy a delicate sleeper. Management has placed packets of foam ear-plugs to help block out the noise. "

- "The apartment was cute and well-located for the Night in the Country event, but everything else was a mess. Our room wasn’t ready at check-in, and we never received the promised update. Communication was poor throughout, and we had to leave our key with a stranger because no property manager was available.The second night, the unit smelled strongly of marijuana. The third night, loud furniture moving in the adjacent unit kept us up until 4:30 AM. This stay was stressful, unprofessional, and not what we expected from a VRBO listing managed by Evolve."

Spacious home in a quiet and convenient Dayton neighborhood only 20 minutes from Carson City and 15 minutes from Virginia City. Just under an hour from either Reno or Tahoe, you can enjoy a day of skiing, swimming or sight seeing and retreat to the house after your adventures. The Reno airport is 45 minutes away.

" - "Our extended family loved staying here while visiting family in the area. The house was clean, in a great neighborhood, and had a well stocked kitchen with plenty of storage. The pictures do not do it justice: it’s a very beautiful home with new flooring and tile countertops everywhere! It looks like they are about to build a stone patio in the back, which would be a nice addition with some chairs to sit on. The air works great, the showers were perfect, and the bathrooms were lovely. A couple reviews mention the need for dressers in the rooms, and I would partially agree; however, there is a lot of closet space in each bedroom (especially the master with a walk-in closet), and they all have shelves to put clothes on also. It is 52 minutes from Zephyr Cove (Lake Tahoe), 18 minutes from Virginia City, and a half mile walk to River Park (which has a several mile walk along the river and it's where the wild horses roam). There are also several great disc golf courses nearby if you're into that. The beds were all extremely comfortable and there are tower fans in every room. The only downfall for us was the 6'2" people staying in the guest rooms said the beds were not very long and had metal footboards thet their feet hit. Overall, I'd give this VRBO a 10/10, especially when you consider the price and newness of the property. We have already booked for Christmas time to visit our family again! some chairs to sit on. "

A beautiful large home on the Dayton Valley Golf Course. Also right next to the Dayton Airpark (A34). Drive in, or fly in! Quiet street at the end of a cul-de-sac. Large, mostly private back yard, great for entertaining. Backs up to the airpark, and the Pine Nut Mountains. If you fly in, we can arrange to leave the golf cart at the tie down area for your stay.

- "When we arrived at the Historic West Walker Motel and opened the door to our room we were shocked. The room was extremely small. About 2feet between the bed and the wall. The kitchenette was a counter with a sunk, a coffee pot, and a hot pad. There was a window AC unit. The spaces on each side of the AC unit had cardboard to keep out the outside. We were able to contact the Luxery hitel by phone abd after a lengthy conversation we were moved to a much nicer room. We were told we wouldn't be able to stay both nights. About 1000 pm we were finally told we could stay in the nicer room. It was a frustrating experience, but I am appreciative that they did move us and decided to let us stay. "

This is a boutique road side motel. It's off the 395, if you are a light sleeper this may not be the right place for you.

- "pet friendly" - "Cute and compact, as expected. No barking dogs like last review, but was thankful we brought paper towels and did our shopping prior to arriving in Walker. Coffee shop nearby was great. Didn’t spend a lot of time at property besides sleeping and breakfast. Served as a home base for our sight seeing." - "I’m torn in writing this review, because there were definite positives and it was a cute place. However, we arrived around 7pm and let ourselves in (no on-site office) and quickly saw that our adjacent ‘building’, which was feet away, was a residential camper surrounded by trash and otherwise messy junk. Also, a dog barking incessantly on a chain. Even with the TV on loudly, we could hear it AND the ones inside the RV. There were no paper towels and one roll of toilet paper, no sugar or creamer for coffee, which was provided. And since it’s a tiny town, all the closest gas stations (only stores… no groceries) were already closed. We had to drive into Nevada (about a 30 minute total drive) for these items. I know it seems like ‘first world problems’, but even Holiday Inn has these basics. And you still have to clean your dishes (with what to dry them besides bath towels you’ve used….) and take out your own trash to the dumpster right out front of your view since there’s no onsite management. It was relatively clean, but I use to manage properties, so I’m I bit picky in that regard. It was memorable, but we won’t be staying again."
