A bath bomb was strategically placed on a nearby table. Perfect! What a joy. Really nice cotton towels. The mattress was very comfortable. Lights and outlets strategically placed - very handy. Refrigerator and microwave worked well. Parking was close and felt very safe - away from the traffic on the highway. The grounds are nicely maintained and there is even a little creek with a sweet bridge. I was there one night and regretted that it could not have been longer. There is plenty of highway noise that could annoy a delicate sleeper. Management has placed packets of foam ear-plugs to help block out the noise. "

- "The apartment was cute and well-located for the Night in the Country event, but everything else was a mess. Our room wasn’t ready at check-in, and we never received the promised update. Communication was poor throughout, and we had to leave our key with a stranger because no property manager was available.The second night, the unit smelled strongly of marijuana. The third night, loud furniture moving in the adjacent unit kept us up until 4:30 AM. This stay was stressful, unprofessional, and not what we expected from a VRBO listing managed by Evolve."

Spacious home in a quiet and convenient Dayton neighborhood only 20 minutes from Carson City and 15 minutes from Virginia City. Just under an hour from either Reno or Tahoe, you can enjoy a day of skiing, swimming or sight seeing and retreat to the house after your adventures. The Reno airport is 45 minutes away.

" - "Our extended family loved staying here while visiting family in the area. The house was clean, in a great neighborhood, and had a well stocked kitchen with plenty of storage. The pictures do not do it justice: it’s a very beautiful home with new flooring and tile countertops everywhere! It looks like they are about to build a stone patio in the back, which would be a nice addition with some chairs to sit on. The air works great, the showers were perfect, and the bathrooms were lovely. A couple reviews mention the need for dressers in the rooms, and I would partially agree; however, there is a lot of closet space in each bedroom (especially the master with a walk-in closet), and they all have shelves to put clothes on also. It is 52 minutes from Zephyr Cove (Lake Tahoe), 18 minutes from Virginia City, and a half mile walk to River Park (which has a several mile walk along the river and it's where the wild horses roam). There are also several great disc golf courses nearby if you're into that. The beds were all extremely comfortable and there are tower fans in every room. The only downfall for us was the 6'2" people staying in the guest rooms said the beds were not very long and had metal footboards thet their feet hit. Overall, I'd give this VRBO a 10/10, especially when you consider the price and newness of the property. We have already booked for Christmas time to visit our family again! some chairs to sit on. "

A beautiful large home on the Dayton Valley Golf Course. Also right next to the Dayton Airpark (A34). Drive in, or fly in! Quiet street at the end of a cul-de-sac. Large, mostly private back yard, great for entertaining. Backs up to the airpark, and the Pine Nut Mountains. If you fly in, we can arrange to leave the golf cart at the tie down area for your stay.

- "When we arrived at the Historic West Walker Motel and opened the door to our room we were shocked. The room was extremely small. About 2feet between the bed and the wall. The kitchenette was a counter with a sunk, a coffee pot, and a hot pad. There was a window AC unit. The spaces on each side of the AC unit had cardboard to keep out the outside. We were able to contact the Luxery hitel by phone abd after a lengthy conversation we were moved to a much nicer room. We were told we wouldn't be able to stay both nights. About 1000 pm we were finally told we could stay in the nicer room. It was a frustrating experience, but I am appreciative that they did move us and decided to let us stay. "

Coffee shop nearby was great. Didn’t spend a lot of time at property besides sleeping and breakfast. However, we arrived around 7pm and let ourselves in (no on-site office) and quickly saw that our adjacent ‘building’, which was feet away, was a residential camper surrounded by trash and otherwise messy junk. There were no paper towels and one roll of toilet paper, no sugar or creamer for coffee, which was provided. And since it’s a tiny town, all the closest gas stations (only stores… no groceries) were already closed. We had to drive into Nevada (about a 30 minute total drive) for these items. I know it seems like ‘first world problems’, but even Holiday Inn has these basics. And you still have to clean your dishes (with what to dry them besides bath towels you’ve used….) and take out your own trash to the dumpster right out front of your view since there’s no onsite management. It was relatively clean, but I use to manage properties, so I’m I bit picky in that regard. It was memorable, but we won’t be staying again."

For winter and summer outdoor adventuring, you can be at Heavenly Valley Ski Resort in 30 minutes, or Kirkwood Ski Resort in 45. Hundreds of miles of open trails on public land are minutes away as well.

With immediate access to Highway 395, it's a 10 minute drive or less to essential shopping including Trader Joe's, Target, Starbucks, Costco and Walmart.

The quaint Minden/Gardnerville is 10 minutes to the south. And Reno is about 30 minutes away, with Reno-Tahoe International Airport only a 40 minute drive door-to-door.

Perfect furnished rental in the best neighborhood in town. 30 day minimum. Walking distance to large, beautiful park, grocery stores, restaurants and pubs, community center and a great gym, skate park, tennis courts. A slightly longer Uber ride home from the fantastic Minden Mill Distillery.

This house has a view of the Sierras that will leave you stunned. The triple peaks of Job's, Freel, and Job's Sister are lined up right in front of you. Heavenly Valley is visible and calling your name; it's less than thirty minutes to be standing in a (short) lift line. US 395, "the back road of California" is the main road through town, giving you an easy drive to the south to the areas around Mammoth Lakes, Bridgeport, Bishop, and the high, high Sierra. This is a hiking, biking, camping, backpacking, fishing, hunting, skiing, four-wheeling paradise. Come live your dream! We also have a great library. No dream judging here.

The house is newly purchased and freshly decorated with multiple updates. Some features: large kitchen with an amazing window over the sink to watch the world go by, an extra large one-car garage with an opener and remote, an even larger carport for the car(s) that lost out to the one in the garage, two large bedrooms with great windows and light, but with blackout curtains for when you don't want that beautiful Nevada light, a separate dining room, and a comfy living room with a gas stove for ambiance and warmth, all decorated in the mid-century modern style. Everyone loves it. You will, too.

Any lease term must be 30+ days (local law), but can go on for as long as you would like. This house would be ideal for a couple, two couples, a couple with kids, or two professionals sharing the rent. Utilities are included with a $150 limit for gas and electricity. If there is an excess, it will be reconciled the following month after we get the bills. The neighborhood is definitely family-friendly and you will no doubt meet the neighbors because everyone gets their mail from the boxes in front of the house. The back yard is very secluded and nicely landscaped. There is a deck with a patio table and umbrella to enjoy the southern view. There is a shed in the backyard for any gear you may want to store. I would recommend your skis and mountain bikes, kayaks and golf clubs (and book shelves).

So, more location info: south Carson City is 20 minutes, Carson Tahoe Hospital on the north side of Carson City is 27 minutes. South Reno is 40 easy minutes. You get on the freeway in south Carson City and don't have a light until you take an exit in Reno. It's a 70 mph cruise. Heavenly Village at Lake Tahoe is 32 minutes. Carson Valley Medical Center is a five minute drive. Barton Hospital in South Lake Tahoe is 40 minutes of beautiful mountain roads. They really are nice! Kingsbury Grade is curvy but short, Hwy 50 is four lanes, and going around to Meyers is gorgeous. Let's see...getting to the outdoor Mecca of Truckee, CA will take 75 minutes. Want to be in the Great Basin desert? Head east on any road. Deer, pronghorn antelope, elk, desert bighorn sheep, massive basin and range views are there for you for hundreds of miles. Go explore the sagebrush ocean.

- "The bed and pillows were SO comfortable!!!! Awesome place to stay in Walker! " - "When my wife and I stayed it appears that they were in the process of updating and renovating this entire motel. The interior of our room had already been updated with fresh paint, new fixtures, floors, bed, bed stands, flat screen tv and a remodeled bathroom. Now It didn't mention it in the listing but I believe that the bathroom floors were heated which was a pleasant surprise. The area is very lovely if you enjoy natural picturesque views, fishing and scenic drives as we do and we are definitely interested in revisiting this area in the future. Now having said that our stay was not without its issues and there is definitely some room for improvement. My wife found it odd that there was no hair dryer in the bathroom so if you have need of one be prepared to bring your own. But by far the biggest issue we had was a very strong cigarette smell in the room which after 2 days of trying to air out never really left. This room, and everything in it, needs to be professionally deodorized. As a side note, having some sort of ventilation or fan may have helped with the smell but would not have gotten rid of it completely. I did attempt to reach out to the management via email as it was very late when we arrived but still have not received a response. Overall we enjoyed the area and I hope that this information helps them in their efforts to renovate and improve this nostalgic and cute roadside motel for future guests."
