We were the only guests on the ground floor of the three available rooms that share the common space. This is a guest house and not a full service hotel. Look at the amenities that are provided so you have no surprises. Be sure you bring your own personal items such as shampoo, conditioner and lotion. Very tidy and clean. There is no front desk but the self check in is easy. Be sure to know the procedure before you arrive. I forgot to contact them 24 hrs before arrival to be prepared for the checkin. They were very accommodating and got me all the information I needed via email and text in a very short time. Very easy to access your own personal entrance. Great value for the budget conscious. "

Our family lives upstairs with our small children, due to the age of the home you can sometimes hear their footsteps particularly in the hallway. I will definitely be back to show my littles the city. The apartment is located on the third floor. However the elevator is out of service. So if you’re handicapped I would not recommend this place. We however didn’t mind the haul upstairs three flights. It was very short and very few steps. We had packed light as we only stayed a weekend. Uber rides took only 10-20mins to the city and anyway we needed to go. I will most definitely be booking again. We had a blast for our anniversary! "

- "We loved the location of the house. It was perfect for our stay in Chicago. Minutes away from a trendy Hyde Park with its restaurants and bars, and a shorth drive to Chicago downtown and all it has to offer. The whole house is beautifully furnished and decorated, hardwood floor through entire house gives that feeling of luxury on every step. Our bedroom was spacious with a comfortable bed and a big screen TV. We had our privite full size bathroom with a large tub and her and his sinks. Large kitchen with high end appliances has everything you need if you decide to prepare your meal. This 2200 sq ft, 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath, rehabbed CONDO in the historic Bronzeville/Hyde Park community is the perfect spot for all adult travelers.

My home includes: two outdoor spaces, a cozy living room with gas fireplace, a sun-drenched den off the living room, in unit laundry room, separate dining room, and a modern gourmet kitchen with stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops, and counter stools.

Your private guest suite is a beautifully decorated light filled bedroom with private bath, ample clothing space and artwork by locally renowned artists. The private bath includes a relaxing whirlpool tub, and shower. All towels, linens and emergency toiletries are provided.

My home is one of sixteen units in a quiet condo community on a tree-lined street. It's within walking distance of DuSable Museum, University of Chicago Arts Incubator, Ronald McDonald House, as well as the U of Chicago campus and hospitals, and a 5 minutes drive (15-20 minute bike) to Lake Michigan beach & bike trail. The FUTURE site of the Obama Presidential Library is less that 3 miles away. This is a safe urban community - owner occupied, gated, buzzer and intercom entry. A police officer lives directly below me.

Lots of free street parking is available, safe and easy. One space in a gated parking lot, accessible by remote opener may be available for an ADDITIONAL FEE based on availability.




McCormick Place Convention Center, the Hyde Park community, Illinois Institute of Technology, U.S. Cellular Field (White Sox) stadium, and the Chicago home of President Barack Obama are all close by.

You are welcomed to enjoy the common areas of during your stay, including the gourmet kitchen, in unit laundry, sun filled den, extensive book and music collections, front balcony, and rear deck. Just be sure to clean up after yourself in the common areas. I'm happy to answer any questions you have about restaurants, entertainment, art and culture, or anything else you need. As I work from home, I am generally very accessible.
