The main floor of the house has a living room, dining room that sits 6-8, a well appointed library, (read something inspirational!) and a beautiful powder room. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare a gourmet meal, serving ware and glassware for entertaining outside, wine fridge, microwave, food processor, blender and instapot. Upstairs, three private bedrooms with designer bedding, a large bathroom with fantastic shower, clawfoot tub and double sink, with upstairs washer and dryer. WE provide a hair dryer and bubble bath! Large full size mirrors are in 2 of the bedrooms. Perfect for families and larger groups.
The house sleeps a total of 6 people in high-end comfortable mattresses with 500 thread count cotton sheets. For parties of 8 people, we have an inflatable queen-size mattress and bedding that can be installed in the library adjacent to the powder room! (for an additional fee of 100.)
We will have the key available in a lock box so you can check in anytime after 3pm (or by special arrangement if the space is available earlier). Street parking is safe, really easy and free (just check the street cleaning signs).

We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay in this well-stocked home. Cindy and Alex are wonderful hosts who make themselves readily available for questions. On the morning of the wedding we were unable to locate an iron in the house and the hosts made a quick trip to Target, delivering both an iron and a steamer to the door in no time. The neighborhood is wonderfully walkable and we enjoyed the tree lined streets and the local shops and restaurants. All in all a great stay!"

West Highland
West Highland is a popular neighborhood that has been dubbed “The Heart of the Highlands.” This hot spot is nearby Highland Park to the East and the more extensive Sloan’s Lake park to the South - perfect for strolling, picnics, or soaking in mountain views and the city skyline. This property is a mere 5-minute walk to the junction of Lowell & 32nd Ave, the location of many local eateries and Highlands Square, where the Highlands Farmers Market and many neighborhood events are held throughout the year! Downtown Denver is a short 10-minute car ride away.
You will notice that West Highland is an ideal jumping-off point for exploring Denver, Boulder, Rocky Mountain National Park, ski country, mountain towns, Colorado Springs, Garden of the Gods, and much more. One of the perks of staying here is the easy access to grocery stores and local eats.
If you are headed Downtown, get oriented at Union Station, which has been reimagined as a cultural hub with cafes, art, and shopping. From Union Station, Coors Field is within walking distance to the North, while Ball Arena (Nuggets and Avalanche) is to the South. Trendy Larimer Street is also nearby. You can catch a light rail train at Union Station to get to Empower Field at Mile High. The 16th Street Mall offers a free shuttle, which is the best way to get to the Denver Performing Arts Center as well as the State Capitol and Denver Mint.
Further East, it’s a short Uber ride to City Park, Denver Zoo, Denver Museum of Nature & Science, the Botanical Gardens, and other attractions. The new Meow Wolf art experience is worth checking out, as are the Denver Aquarium and Elitch Gardens. All three are near Empower Field and the REI Flagship store.
Here for a concert? Red Rocks is a mere 20 minutes away by car. You may want to check out this area regardless of your itinerary – it’s a unique place, and its gateway town of Morrison is charming. Link up an easygoing riverside hike at Lair O’ The Bear or an afternoon paddle boarding or skating in Evergreen to make a day of it. Further south, you’ll find Roxborough State Park (40 minutes) for more hiking trails. One of Colorado’s main draws is Rocky Mountain National Park, which makes for a great day trip. Drive 1.5 hours through a dramatic canyon for a day of hiking, sightseeing, and wildlife viewing.
Depending on your destination, skiing is 1-3 hours away. Locals head to Echo Mountain, Eldora (near Boulder), or Loveland (near Georgetown) for a more low-key experience. We’re also within a few hours of Arapahoe Basin, Breckenridge, Copper Mountain, and other snowy delights. There is a Nordic center near Breck if you want to try out cross-country skiing, and the summer months are a great time to rent a kayak to explore Dillon Reservoir.
In short, this is the perfect jumping-off point for exploring the best of Denver and the Rockies! It’s impossible to see everything in one visit, so we look forward to hosting you again after you fall in love with Mile High Life!
Getting Around:
Denver is a highly walkable city. In addition to West Highland and nearby Highland Park, Sloan’s Lake, the RiNo Art District and LoDo (Lower Downtown) are excellent choices for strolling. Prefer to do your exploring on two wheels? Grab a B-Cycle and get pedaling! For those without a car, we recommend utilizing Uber or Lyft. Premier attractions such as City Park, Denver Zoo, and Denver Botanic Gardens are a short, inexpensive ride away.
The easiest way to get out and start exploring by car is to hop on I-70, the main East-West artery for Colorado. I-70 West will take you straight into the mountains. Red Rocks Park, Golden, Mount Evans, Idaho Springs, skiing, and all things alpine await you in the Rocky Mountains!
Take the I-25 Northbound exit for Fort Collins (New Belgium Brewery, Colorado State University, etc.) or pick up the 36 toward Boulder (University of Colorado, Pearl Street, Chautauqua, and more). Rocky Mountain National Park is located Northwest of Denver, about two hours away. Estes Park is RMNP’s charming gateway town. South of Denver, you’ll find Colorado Springs, Garden of the Gods, Royal Gorge, and countless other beautiful destinations.
For those without a car, we recommend using a ride-sharing service like Uber or Lyft. Both are readily available in Denver and its suburbs. Denver is very walkable; you will see rental bikes and scooters scattered around town. Light rail trains are also an excellent way to get around Denver. Catch the W line at Sheridan Station. East will take you to Union Station (Downtown) while West will get you to Golden. From Union Station, you can also change trains to get to a variety of destinations.
If you’ve never been to Denver, it’s easy to get oriented. The Rocky Mountains are to the West, and Downtown is East of where you will be staying. I-70 West will take you into the mountains and straight to the ski areas, while I-70 East intersects with I-25 for access to Fort Collins to the North and Colorado Springs to the South. The 36 takes you to Boulder and eventually the Rocky Mountain National Park gateway towns of Lyons and Estes Park. Get exploring!

Sure, eating at the finest restaurants can be fun. But sometimes we all need a nice home-cooked meal. That's why our kitchen is fully stocked with all the essentials you'll need to cook your family or friends a nice dinner.
When it's time to wind down for the day, you can retire to one of two spacious and comfortable bedrooms. The main bedroom even offers a private, dedicated workspace for those times when you need to mix work and play.
This is truly a home away from home, and we can't wait to host you!

The guesthouse has a dedicated, private entrance off the well-lit alley.
You'll have access to the entire guesthouse, except for a small locked cabinet in the second bedroom closet where we keep extra supplies.
The patio space is yours to enjoy, as well a small grassy yard.

Highland Park Guest House is located in central Denver’s popular West Highland residential neighborhood nearby streets with stores, restaurants, coffee shops, parks, and nightlife. The residence is just half a block from public bus transportation providing quick and inexpensive access to other regional transportation systems and the 16th Street Mall in downtown Denver.
Accommodations consist of a 750 square foot completely new garden level one bedroom studio in a 1900‘s turn of the century bungalow. The space includes a full wet bar (no stove top or oven) with a refrigerator, sink, and microwave oven. Finishes include eco friendly materials such as bamboo and Marmoleum flooring and low VOC paints. All linens and towels are organic and all cleaning products are nontoxic and earth friendly.

This cozy West Highlands home is located just minutes from Downtown Denver. Built in 1913, the house retains the charm of an older home, but has been upgraded for modern living. Whether you are in Denver for a long-term stay, or just a couple nights, there is no better place to call your temporary home! With 2 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms, it is a convenient house for traveling with friends or kids!
Located in the heart of West Highlands, it is possibly Denver’s most walkable neighborhood. The house sits just blocks away from Historic Highlands Square, https://visitdenverhighlands.com/neighborhood, featuring many restaurants, coffee shops, retail stores, entertainment and other essential businesses. Approximately 1 mile north, and you are in the Tennyson Street Cultural District, https://www.exploretennyson.com/, offering many more options for shopping, dinning and entertainment. Our nearest grocery store is less than 1 mile away. Getting to downtown Denver is a easy 10 minute drive, or a lovely ~3 mile walk or bike ride, allowing quick access to Coors Field (baseball), Ball Arena (hockey, basketball, concerts) the Colorado Convention Center, DCPA (the theater district) and the newly renovated Union Station district.
The house has been updated throughout the years to offer modern conveniences, but still maintains the charm of an older home. With a little over 1000sf, this Victorian gem features high ceilings, original wood floors and woodwork. It is equipped with high speed internet and WIFI.
There is one bedroom/office located to the front of the house. This bedroom has a comfortable Murphy bed that can be pulled down if it is used as a bedroom. The bed can also be put back into its frame if you desire more room for an office or play space. There is a bathroom right around the corner with a shower, sink, toilet and under floor heat.
The master bedroom has an attached bathroom with a sink, toilet and claw foot tub/shower combo.
A smart television is located in the comfortable living room. It is also great place to curl up with your favorite book.
The dining room has a large table with 2 extra leaves and 8 chairs. It is a wonderful place to host dinner parties!
The kitchen has been remodeled with a small moveable baker’s island, and plenty of cabinet and countertop space. It features a gas stovetop, oven, microwave oven, toaster oven and large air fryer, allowing for greater cooking variability. It is fully stocked for all your cooking, baking and entertaining needs.
The door off the kitchen takes you out to a mudroom/storage area, then out the backdoor to a deck with a table, chairs and a propane grill.
The front patio has a small table with two chairs, and a bench for seating. It is great place to sit in the sun, enjoy the beverage of your choice and watch the world go by. Located on a corner lot, there is plenty of on-street parking in front, and along the side of the house. You can also park in the driveway located at the back of the house.
A full size washer and dryer are located just down the stairs in the basement.
Denver is home to many parks, and we are close to Sloans Lake Park, Rocky Mountain Park, Pferdsteller Park and Berkley Park. It is a walkers/joggers wonderland! If you are traveling with your dog(s), Berkley Park has a small dog park too!
Our dogs have always been a part of the family and we are happy to allow well behaved dogs the chance to enjoy our house too. The backyard is fully fenced in, and this neighborhood loves dogs!
Lastly, there is easy access to the two major highways serving Denver and the surrounding areas; making a commute to Denver Tech Center, the airport, mountains and ski-resorts, Red Rocks, and Boulder very assessable.

This is a super cute, comfortable carriage house in our backyard. This special place is close to everything, making it easy to plan your visit. We are located in the heart of the Highlands, close to all stadiums, concert venues with tons of restaurants and bars in walking distance.
We have just remodeled it and have updated the AC and the heat, there is a new TV, new queen bed, new living and dining room furniture also.
There is a well-stocked kitchen and a bath with shower. It's all yours!
The space
On the first floor, there is a living space, kitchen, dining nook and bathroom. In the living space, we have a sleeper sofa with a full-size mattress. We have a lofted area in which the queen bed plus storage is in. Access to this is up a steep flight of stairs, but they are doable and there is a hand railing. This space is great for 1-2 people. Because of the steep stairs, this space is not ideal for families traveling with little kids.

Access to the carriage house is through the side gate into our backyard. We have a friendly dog and cat that also have access to the backyard so it is important that we introduce you to them when you first get here. They will be happy to see you once your are introduced, but they don't like unannounced strangers.

We provide towels, sheets for both the queen sized and full sized beds. There are spices and starters in the kitchen, cleaning supplies and trash bags too. We provide starter supplies, but for the month-long rental, it is your responsibility to restock anything that runs out. Also, we have 2-3 sets of bedding for each bed so that you can change out the bedding throughout your stay. We do not provide laundry service and there is no W/D on site, but there is a laundromat close by that is clean and safe.
Parking is on the street in front of our house. Most of our neighbors park on the street as well, but there are always spots available. We try to be courteous to the permanent residents by leaving spots in front of their houses for them. We will be happy to give you plenty of good options to park your car.

The neighborhood is ideally situated just west of Downtown and close to all major highways, allowing you to get to the mountains and the airport in a mere 30 minutes.
There is a separate gate entrance to the carriage house, so you feel free to come and go as you please. The space sleeps 4 guests comfortably with one queen pillow top Murphy bed and one queen memory foam Crate & Barrel sleeper sofa. The living area has a 48-inch flat-screen SMART TV with ROKU. You have access to streaming cable and Netflix. The internet has Ethernet and WiFi for those needing to do some work. There is a washer and dryer located in the unit for your convenience. Guests have access to a private patio, which is lovely for a cup of coffee or tea in the morning or a nice dinner and wine in the evening.

The living room is equipped with a 55" smart TV and a high-top table that’s perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee, catching up on emails, or having a casual meal.
While there isn’t a full kitchen, the kitchenette is equipped with a microwave, toaster oven, oversized mini fridge, Keurig coffee maker, hot/cold water dispenser, cutting board/knife, salt/pepper, can/wine opener — everything you need for light meal prep. Please note: There’s no kitchen sink available for washing dishes so disposable plates/cups/utensils are available in addition to a few glass and ceramic dining ware options.
The front porch has a high-top patio table, where you can sip your morning coffee or unwind in the evening. Even though Lowell Blvd is a relatively busy neighborhood street, you’ll love soaking up the Colorado sunshine and enjoying our beautiful landscaping.
Please note, I have my two energetic young boys every other week, so you will hear activity upstairs at times. We do our best to keep noise to a minimum, and we appreciate your understanding. If you're concerned about the noise level, feel free to inquire if your desired dates coincide with my boys being home.

Other things to note
Since this is a walkout basement unit, it can be cooler than the rest of the house. This is great in the summer but in the cold months, you're welcome to use our portable heaters and blankets to cozy up with.
Also, there are three steps down to the living room so unfortunately the unit is not wheelchair accessible.
And while Lowell Blvd is a relatively busy neighborhood street, the bedroom is located at the back of the unit so street noise is typically not an issue.
Lastly, we have a motion-activated doorbell camera for safety to help us ensure the two-guest limit (plus infants) and pet-free policy.

At 3301 Meade, you'll enjoy a garden level apartment all to yourself. There is a kitchen (stocked with all the things you will need to cook), living room (55 inch TV with Netflix, Pandora and local channels), two bedrooms (they connect like a suite) with closets, a bathroom and a shared laundry room (only shared space besides the backyard). The master and second bedroom have a queen bed. The laundry room is stocked with washer/dryer, soap, dryer sheets, cleaning rags, etc.
You are welcome to enjoy the backyard as well. I live upstairs if there is anything you need!

There is a lock box near the back door (to the right on the electrical box), the code is included under Guest Access in the app. There is a brown security door and an interior wood door. Proceed downstairs. The whole basement is available for your use but the apartment (where you'll be staying) is all private. Laundry room is shared.

- COVID-19 update: rooms are being sanitized between guests with a professional cleaning crew. Furnace air filters are electrostatically charged Honeywell FPR 12 filters that filter down to the microparticle level, filtering out "microscopic allergens, virus carriers, mold, bacteria, pollen and VOCs."
This unit was remodeled with extra attention paid to sound barriers, including new high-end windows and extra insulation between floors (owner has a home office and a garage under the carriage house). Please note that the carriage house overlooks the alley, so there will be some noise from occasional cars and city garbage pick-up on Wednesdays (usually around 9am). This is in an urban location so neighbors or kids might be heard in their backyards (that being said, we have relationships with all our neighbors and have never had to address noise problems with anyone). This is a lively, diverse neighborhood with families, singles, and couples, so all lifestyles may be represented.

Guests have private parking in the alley, with a 240v hookup for electric cars just in front of the garden gate. Enter the garden and to the left, you will see the stairs leading to the carriage house. A motion-sensitive light will activate as you enter the gate, and there is a light switch for the carriage house located on the wall at the base of the stairs (though this should be already on for you).
The Key is in the lockbox near the door, and the code and checkin directions will be texted to you the week prior to your arrival.

EV CHARGING - Two easy-access 240v charging stations for electric cars are available in the private parking space off of the alley and at the front of the house.

Fun fact: When we purchased this home in 2010, the owner responsible for the remodel in 2000 mentioned to us that they discovered old barrels of hay in the loft, leftover from when the carriage house was used for horses - kinda cool.

The space
You'll be on top of the world!
You'll enter through the back porch, up a private entrance (keyless) to the third floor. The house is old and the stairs are steep to the 3rd floor and the apartment enters directly to the Primary Bedroom, then through the Primary Bedroom and you're in the rest of the apartment. From the top floor of the house, you can see for miles - south to Sloan's Lake and Pike's Peak on a clear day from the kitchen table, or look over the front range from the primary bedroom. Light and airy, the apartment is quite a relaxing and fun retreat!
Air Conditioning during the summer is by window units in the Primary Bedroom, Second Bedroom and Living Room. We do not have central A/C but use window units in the Primary, Secondary and Living Rooms.
Please note: bathroom door does not lock. If that is a requirement for you we might not the best fit.

Through the front gate and follow the driveway, up the side/back porch stairs and through a private entrance to a secret set of back stairs to the apartment. The house is old and the stairs are steep to the 3rd floor and the apartment enters directly to the Primary Bedroom, and then through the Primary Bedroom and you're in the rest of the apartment.

We have dogs - a Border Collie mix (Daisy) and one Blue Heeler (Yoda). The yard is shared with the dogs so you'll most likely encounter them. They are friendly, but do take their jobs as barkers a bit too seriously so don't be alarmed!

This home is 127 years old. Each room has high ceilings, original wood floors and original tile ceiling (in the kitchen). We've tried to maintain the integrity of this Victorian Queen. It's a warm, cozy, antique of a home.
Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire house minus a few locked closets and half of the basement (where we keep our supplies)
The main floor features an entry way, a bedroom, a bathroom, a dining room and kitchen. The mudroom off of the kitchen contains the refrigerator, microwave, toaster and coffee maker ( and yoga mats). On the second floor guests will have access to three bedrooms and a bathroom. 2 of the bedrooms have queen beds in each and one is a bunk bed room.
Guests will have access to the backyard and the side garden (but not the garage).
Other things to note
We have a property manager who will be on call during your stay should any issues arise.
