Make yourself at home in this superb 1-bedroom McKenzie Bridge retreat, sleeps up to 5. Nestled in the heart of nature, this bright and cozy A Frame offers a tranquil escape for YOU. With window AC to keep cool, WiFi to stay connected, books and games to entertain one or many, and a well stocked kitchenette/ coffee bar... this charming hideaway has everything you need.
The surrounding area is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts, with hiking trails and breathtaking scenery just waiting to be explored. White water rafting, mountain biking, fishing, golf at Tokatee, soaking in hot springs east and west of us, relaxing at the river, the creek, or one of many reservoirs... Sight see waterfalls, visit hisoric sights, or drive the breathtaking pass.
After a day of adventure, unwind in the comfort of your private retreat or venture outside and across the shared lawn, past the main home where the host resides, to our Outdoor Stay Area: enjoy a campfire or propane ring (when appropriate given fire restriction or safety risk) and relax on the rustic benches under the stars! We provide firewood... and ambient string lighting until 10pm.
So relax in solitude with a 42" TV and complimentary popcorn, join other travelers for revelry at the campfire ring, or enjoy a brief walk for a local cider and live music on weekends at the Obsidian Grill. We hope you enjoy what our place and McKenzie Bridge has to offer.
Note: Host lives on site next door.
The cabin is 430 sq ft. I will take care of dishes, extra towels and daily needs, such as replenishing complementary items or any practical access you may need. I will be around but interaction isn't necessary. I know you are here for the Hygge, privacy, and escape.

- "Enjoyed the stay" - "The property was really cute. The host was super kind and helpful. There was a super bright light outside that made it hard to sleep, but the host did leave a sleep mask. " - "Great time very clean and quiet " - "Great host and property " - "My husband and I booked a last minute getaway and thankfully able to book a night in this sweet little a-frame cabin. After arriving we were greeted by Angela (the host) who lives full time next door. She was so incredibly friendly (we even ended up exchanging numbers and became friends) and made us feel extremely welcome and comfortable. I typically steer away from renting a vacation home that is so close to the host because I like privacy and worry that they might be in my business more then what's comfortable...that was definitely not the case here! We loved the location because it was near all the trails, reservoirs, rivers, and Hot Springs. It was the perfect central location. The cabin had everything we needed, and the bed was extremely comfortable. We really appreciated all the extras she provided like coffee, snacks and water. We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with an exceptional host!"

We enjoyed cocktails on the deck while watching the river roll by and cards in the evening next to the fire. My only complaint is we had to leave it behind to return to reality. Get ready to enjoy this beautifully crafted cedar-shake cabin at the historic 'Log Cabin Inn'. This location offers the pristine river-front atmosphere you are looking for. The over-sized screened-in porch with outdoor furniture will be your favorite place to get together after an adventurous or peaceful day in paradise.
The stone fireplace in the living room will warm your mornings as you prepare for your day on the river, the trail, the slopes, or the lake.

With a master bedroom downstairs and another private bedroom upstairs -- this cabin is perfect for the two couple getaway or your family vacation.
Make sure you 'take-in' all that this area has to offer -- it might be a challenge to pull yourself away from the porch long enough to do all of that skiing, golfing, rafting, hiking, biking, fishing, boating and sightseeing you 'planned' on doing. Of course, nobody else has to know that you just relaxed and 'renewed' all weekend or week... right?
Reserve some 'you-time' or some 'family-time' today, it may be the best investment you'll make all year! Take advantage of the weekly discount and really enjoy yourselves!
- "My mom and sisters have stayed in this cabin now for 3 years. Before that is was cabin #2 but then I got a fur baby that I could not leave behind. We all absolutely love to stay in this cabin. It's always clean & welcoming. Jonathon is amazing to talk with and is always on top of every question we may have. It's getting harder & harder to get this cabin when we want it in the summer..really wish more of the cabins were pet friendly. We'll be there next year for sure!"

Get your hearts and cameras ready for some wonderful family memories gathered while enjoying this beautiful new cabin, built right next to the historic "Hoover Cabin" where President Herbert Hoover frequented back in his day. Clarke Gable and the Duke of Windsor also visited the famous stage stop, restaurant and Inn, along with many others of notoriety. Wander the entire seven acres and hundreds of feet of Mckenzie River frontage as you soak in the beautiful surroundings. The grassy meadow offers a serene setting for laying out, hanging out with your favorite people or is ready for your impromptu game of frisbee football. Walk across Mckenzie Bridge and enjoy the Bier Garden of the Mckenzie General Store, featuring several micro-brews on tap and a surprising menu of lunch and dinner options fashioned at the Obsidian Grill. MGS offers live bands and movie nights along with many other themed entertainment events weekly throughout the summer. Also, right across the river is a boutique bar and grill experience called Mckenzie Station.
Takodas Resturaunt is just about 4 minutes west of the cabin and offers a great menu for all three meals, plus cocktails.
Blue Sky Market offers gas, propane, and groceries, plus supplies and prepared, ready to eat, foods.
Within about 2 miles, you could be hitting that long drive and making that curvy putt while enjoying the old growth trees and Three Sisters cascade mountain views at Tokatee Golf Club, rated as one of America's greatest public courses. There are at least three natural hot springs in the area for your soaking enjoying. Terwilliger Hot Springs, aka Cougar Hot Springs, is clothing optional and just 15 minutes from the cabin. Belknap hot springs offers a man made pool full of natural hot spring water, if something more conservative is in order. Plus, the benefit of the pool, is that you can actually swim in the hot water, instead of just soaking. Another, smaller, Spring is just upriver a few miles at Deer Creek Rd, but this one is for those who really want that "on the river, hot-spring experience" (this one is also clothing optional).
Take a drive upriver a few miles to Sahalie Falls and walk down the Mckenzie River Trail toward Carmin Reservoir. This is a short hike, but allows you to take in the wilder portions of the Mckenzie River near its beginnings just down from Clear Lake. Don't forget the camera.
Take the scenic drive up Hwy 242, the old Mckenzie Pass, to the huge lava flows of Belknap Crater. You can go up into the lava stone tower and see nearly all of the Central Oregon Cascade Mountains. Sisters, a western style historic town just east of the mountain passes, is just an hour from the cabin. Annually, there is a huge Sisters Quilt Show and the famous Sisyers Rodeo takes place every June.
Hoodoo Ski Bowl is just half an hour from the cabin and offers snow skiing, snow boarding, snowmobiling, snow-shoeing and tubing for the kid in you. The tubing park is great for family time and the auto rope pull back up the hill allows you to enjoy the kids all day long without wearing yourself out.
The famous Mckenzie River Trail is about 26 miles from just about half a mile from the cabin to up above Clear Lake. Hikers and Mountain Bikers love this trail, but so do fishing enthusiasts who love fishing from hole to hole as they walk casually upriver.
Stop in at the Ranger Station for area maps to all of the natural attractions of this scenic area.
Most importantly, take time for the re-creation of yourself and the re-connection with your loved ones in this perfect setting for both.
The cabin is fully equipped with all appliances and furnishings. There is a bedroom with private bath downstairs offering a king size bed and another bedroom with full bath upstairs offering two twins. A queen sized inflatable mattress can also be made available if necessary. Please advise us when you book.
- "Very clean, organized and cozy. Great air conditioning that was well needed! 100 degrees! Had everything that was needed! I would rent it every visit!" - "Well appointed cabin with river view close to rafting and fishing on the Mackenzie River. Perfect for two to four fishermen. Nearby eateries with good menus and craft beers. Will definitely keep this place on the list of great options." - "Our family enjoyed our stay very much. Come and stay in this riverfront luxury cabin on the magnificent upper McKenzie River! This is a clean cozy cabin positioned perfectly on a large grassy meadow with a huge river view. It’s a great place to enjoy outdoor activities or just relax and unwind with family and friends.
The area surrounding the cabin is The Willamette National Forest. It’s known for its high cascade lakes, waterfalls, natural hot springs, and lava flows. You are only minutes away from hiking, biking, boating, fishing, white water rafting, swimming, golfing, skiing, tubing, and restaurants.
Cabin 9 is simply charming with its cedar shingle exterior and beautiful landscaping. When you walk in you will experience the warmth of the knotty pine walls, Douglas Fir floors, vaulted ceilings, and river rock gas fireplace.
And who says you have to “rough it” when staying in a cabin?
Cabin 9 is extremely well appointed with all the modern conveniences and luxuries of home. The furniture was chosen with comfort in mind, especially the oversized leather chair in the living room which has a direct river view. So grab a fuzzy blanket, kick your feet up on the ottoman, and dive into a good book or watch a show on the big screen TV. The kitchen is very well stocked with tools and appliances for all your cooking needs. Take advantage of the screened-in porch by sitting on the plush cushions of the large sectional and relax, bug free! Have fun playing one of the many indoor or outdoor games provided. At night, crack open your bedroom windows, snuggle up under the down comforters of the king sized beds, and let the sounds of the river lull you to sleep.
This cabin is part of The Log Cabin Inn which is a planned community of 22 cabins thoughtfully spread out on 7 acres of private land. The common grounds include 3 separate meadows divided by stands of old growth trees, edged with manicured flower gardens, and 900 feet of pristine river frontage. Feel free to stroll about the property and explore, fish from the banks, and watch the river rafters float by.
There is truly nothing else like this on the McKenzie River!
Cabin 9 is positioned in an ideal location on the property. It’s on the edge of the largest open grassy meadow so it gets lots of natural light and it’s close to the river with an expansive water view. It’s also far away from the parking areas and the highway so all you hear is the intoxicating sounds of rushing water and birds chirping.
This is the quintessential cabin experience for your next vacation getaway.

It's hard to get any closer to the river without getting wet!
This beauty has a huge covered porch that sits right on the river's edge and a dining nook with that same perspective. In fact, you still feel that close to the river in the large living room as you're enjoying a cozy fire in a real fireplace. There's also a large screen TV with satellite service.
There's a nicely equipped kitchen with full size appliances and a laundry room too.
The master bedroom is downstairs and it offers a king size bed.
The full bath downstairs offers a full size tub/shower.
Upstairs, there is another half bath and another bedroom with two twin size beds.
The couch in the living room is a sleeper sofa, so this house can take as many as 6 guests.
This home is so cozy and private that you might not want to leave, but we are surrounded by the bountiful Willamette National Forest. In fact, the world famous "Three Sisters Wilderness" area is just 15 minutes close and the Pacific Crest Trail is only 40 minutes east.
Make sure you hike the Mckenzie River Trail. It is 26 miles of wonder and beauty stretched along the Mckenzie Hwy 126 all the way to Fish Lake, but you can easily take it in series of shorter hikes. Try the section between Sahalie Falls and Carmen Reservoir for something spectacular if you only want a small hike. The jaunt to the Blue Pool is also fairly easy, but watch your step as you progress through an ancient lava flow along the way.
The fishing is out of this world and you can definitely fish all day right from our shore, but there are many qualified and pleasant guides available for your maximum fishing experience.
Try a white water rafting trip with High Country Expeditions -- they offer half and full day adventures.
Soak in one of three hot springs and dine in our three local restaurants.
Tokatee Golf Course is open to the public and has been on the list of the nation's top rated public courses since its creation.
Horseback riding is now also available at Rainbow Acres.
Look up The Willamette National Forest online and you'll find an abundance of information and maps. you'll find enough to do to keep you coming back for generations.
Feel free to ask Jonathan if you have any questions.
- "Our 2nd time back at this property--you can't get any closer to the river and spending the day out on the deck is pure bliss. Great property, super clean, and everything you need!" - "Cute clean cabin with well stocked kitchen supplies. The location was beautiful! Loved the patio. The only thing that would have improved the overall stay would be having central airconditioning. It did mostly cool off at night and there are fans throughout."

- "Absolutely great cabin. Magnificent spot overlooking white water McKenzie river. Traditional mountain decore with modern updated kitchen. For us, perfect stay, thank you." - "Great setting! Beautiful." - "Our family of five had a great time at the house. It was as described and pictures are accurate. They are not trying to be a five star hotel with luxury accommodations. It was clean and comfortable. We found it relaxing eating on the porch listening to the river. Beautiful hikes all within a half hour from cottage. Cell service gets spotty after leaving the house so plan your outings while still at the cottage. One thing to consider before arriving if you plan to cook meals, you may want to buy groceries at a major grocery store closer to the interstate. Little marts close by but not ideal for longer stays."
